Large open store room with a variety of furniture and decor needs. Towards the back of the room there is a small clearance section that is worth browsing through. Some prices are good, but some in my opinion are overpriced. I was able to find a cross engulfed with a heart that was a unique piece. I will be placing it in my flower garden. There is also a garden area outdoors that is hit or miss with the prices. If you find a large piece then let an associate know so that they can help with loading. I saw flooring such as tiles, rugs and I saw framed artwork which was difficult to browse through. There are dressers that would be great for a diy project. I also saw some wires, tools and lighting options. At the front are various couches and chairs as well as bed frames. I'll be returning to check the clearance again. read more

Avon Habitat ReStore - Unique artwork piece found on my recent trip - Thrift Stores Near Me - Avon, Indiana

This was my first visit to Habitat for Humanity in Avon even though I've driven past for years. I'm looking for places to donate reusable items as I down size several of my collections and home goods. We've all heard of Habitat for Humanity and the amazing homes they build for the underprivileged. The sale of these items goes toward building even more Habitat homes and donations are the way they stock the shelves. I was surprised to see the large selection available and shocked at how affordable the prices are. Most of the furniture is located just as you enter and toward the front of the store. Sofas, love seats, coffee/end tables, entertainment centers and most things desired to furnish a living room, family or game room can be found here. Formal to dine-in kitchen tables, kitchen islands and china cabinets are available in several styles and finishes. Some of the wood furniture had a blemish or two but most was just normal wear. A few pieces would make great projects. Laminate flooring, lighting, shower stalls and tubs, patio doors and bathroom vanities are a few of the other items I found. The merchandise changes from day-to-day so pop in often if you looking for something specific. This is the WORST habitat restore in the area. Why are the prices so high??? This is a charity. Their vanities go for days n near full price. Doors are outrageous. Furniture is a joke. If you want a good deal go to any of the other restores. Literally even Carmel is way more reasonable price wise. read more

I don't know why we waited so long to come here. We stopped in and this place is amazing. I had donated our old range here and they picked it up. Most of the items have been in a property of are scratch and dent. The vanities for bathrooms are gorgeous and worth a look if you are in the market. Also some of the light fixtures as well are great. There are knobs, switchplate covers etc. we ended up finding new floor vent covers in the box for $2. Amazing. Also a little thing to put fireplace wood in that is metal and adorable $2. If you need a shovel, rake anything like that come here don't buy new. Bathtubs, showers, doors, hinges books, tables. It is pretty cool and not overpriced like other shops I have been in. Also check the paints. They have great eco paint for $10. I believe they mix it there. When it warms up I am going back for some. Inventory is always changing since it is all donated so keep looking. And it goes to a good cause. read more

This place is so awesome! The first time I went I was consumed at all the great products they have for fractions of the price. Lawn care items, building items, sinks, tables, dining sets, lounging chairs and more. They have a great selection of books, doors, bed frames and windows. I even found two large chalk board slabs I feel in love with! This place has so many great items I highly suggest stopping here prior to your lowes trip to save some money and maybe give you some new ideas. I find this location to be cleaner, brighter and more organized than the downtown location, but actually prefer the downtown location. But the variety of home furnishings here are great. Though all items are used, most are in excellent condition, some even a bit pricier than you would expect to see in a resell shop, but they have items in various price points. I really like the variety of mirror glass you can find here inexpensively and lighting fixtures. Overall I really enjoying coming back to these Restore shops to see what treasures I can find. Have had the opportunity through work to donate truckloads of product over the years to Habitat locations as my employer buys out other brands when replacing them on the shelf at retailers. Habitat for Humanity as you know builds and renovates homes for those in need utilizing donated goods and volunteers. Had never stepped in a Habitat restore location though and this one seems unique as the location is more in the suburbs versus many locations which are situated closer to inner cities. When dropping off two carloads of product that were part of a local retailer buy-out this week I was pleasantly surprised that this store has a drive through for drop off. In addition I was amazed at the amount of items available for sale in the store such as indoor - outdoor furniture, office supplies electronics and lighting - even a small used book store. For those in the process of shopping for furniture or those who enjoy a giant garage sale on steroids, I highly recommend stopping by this store for incredible savings and value. read more

Great store! Found some old LPs on great condition and a solid oak mirror for a steal. Definitely going back.

I didn't find anything worth buying or eye catching. Nice location and there were lots of standard items if you are looking for basic fixtures and furniture, however nothing that stood out or was interesting. read more

Warning... as of 06/05/2018 the supposedly Manager ( a male) treated me as if I were a wild animal that had walked in uninvited. I wanted to purchase two lamps that were $15.00 each... I went to check out and I asked the clerk to plug them in to make sure they work. He responded that if they didn't work, they would be in the trash! That should have been my first warning re: attitude towards customers. I handed him $40.00 and while he was ringing me up... I discovered there was no plastic knob on the on-off switch. I asked if they had a spare and the result was No. I asked for a refund since I couldn't turn the on-off switch. They got the manager who ran up, got with-in 12 inches of my face with his chest stuck out and fists balled, then pointed and said read the sign! No Refunds! I said, it's not like I took them home! He said No! I began to dial the police when I saw he was out of control, he then angrily told me, after he gave me my $40.00... " Don't come back in MY store anymore! I told him I didn't intend to! I can't believe Habitat would hire someone to be manager, who easily slips into an "out of control" person that demeans a customer! I wouldn't even give them 1 Star, but I had to select in order to warn others! Stay away, until they hire a decent human being!! read more

As another reviewer said, I will never, ever donate to this ReStore again. I am a strong supporter of the ReStores, both in donations and shopping, but this store will not ever get my donations again. I went there to donate four sling style patio chairs and a wooden adirondack style chaise lounge chair, all in good condition. We just wanted something different. By the way the staff acted when we pulled up, you would have thought we were a garbage truck arriving to dump a pile of garbage in their donation area. They asked us many questions about the patio chairs and then begrudgingly took them. They refused the adirondack chair because I did not also donate a chaise cushion with it. Seriously?! They said they wouldn't be able to sell it. I know that's not true. Anyway, a few minutes later, they placed all four sling chairs next to a table nearly identical to the one my chairs came with (I kept that) for $5 each. Not only will my chairs bring them $20 that they didn't have before, but they'll be more likely to sell their table now that it has nearly matching chairs. The worst thing was they didn't bother to say thank you. My husband thanked one of the employees for the receipt and she said, "You're welcome". It wasn't until I told them that they could at least say thank you that they finally said thank you and that they appreciated my donation. Yeah, right. I will never donate here again. I hope others do the same and take their donations to the Indianapolis, Greenwood, Morgan County, Monroe County, Greenfield, or Hamilton County locations. read more
