Stratford is responsible for my brothers death. My brother survived a 6 month stay at Stanford…read morehospital where he underwent several surgeries ,endured a heart attack, Coma, lots of complications I was told each week by a different Dr that I should get him to Hospice to which I would explain that I heard that same suggestion each week and each week the new Dr would call me and say what a miracle that he recovered from from the prior week. The answer was NO. My brother had compilations from his feeding tube. It was placed because he forgot how to chew and swallow. It happens a lot after a coma. The bad thing was when his stomach would fill with fluids and he would have to get it pumped out by surgery. I was told about every 3 months.. So when my brother was released to Stratford, He was excited to be out of the hospital but scared also. Soon enough I was not so sure. My stomach and intestines resulting from kidney Failure. He was the last sibling I had as there were 4 kids total with me being last and my brother the oldest at 64. It started with the dude new staff members. Never answering requests for certain foods, not giving him proper care by not cutting his 1 inch long nails, or bringing him what he requested to eat or showers etc. then the Dr . He would only see a Dr online video chat. The staff that would give him random pills from this Dr he spoke with. When my brother would get his pills he would say " What is this?" They would answer back very shortly and yell " Your Medicine!" With No regard to tell him what it was for. My Brother asked me repeatedly to get him help with his Social Security and each time I would go up to the counter and request help for him. Not once would they. Also the director would always want to do a lengthy questionnaire for my brother regarding end of life and I would always tell her to let him fill it out and help him. It wasn't my business as he was getting better by the day. He started to go grocery shopping and I would take him. He hated their food and started buying his own. His stomach was really hurting him one day and I asked if they had asked or said anything about getting it drained. It was getting quite large in the belly area. He had no clue what I was talking about. I went to the front desk and let them know what was happening. It was poison for my brother. They called 911 that night and my brother went into emergency surgery . He stayed in hospital for 4 days before returning to Stratford.. I was very surprised they were not aware of it again. My brother couldn't quite walk on his own and asked for therapy one day along with me he was told it's not covered by insurance. He was bedridden. His clothes were always missing also. I Was busy around Xmas an ZNew Years day. Do We and had only taken him shopping for groceries and was felling pretty bad. I was heading out of town when he called me and said his stomach was hurting once again. It was filling up fast. He said he would let staff know. The next day I was headed to Reno for New Year's Eve. I called my brother and asked how things were going, he said his stomach was terrible. I asked if I should take him to hospital as an ambulance was not covered per the manager there at Stratford. My brother said "No, the staff said they would get him to hospital. I asked that he call me the next day for update. He agreed. 5 days later on Dec 31st my phone rang and it was Bebe the Director at Stratford, she said my brother was not responsive. I asked where he was as I was suprised she was calling me. She replied he was at Stratford. I said WHAT? He should have been in hospital as of 5 days earlier. She called me back and said she had no record of that request. I then told her I was coming to Stratford and to not touch any of his stuff. I got a call from Hospital telling me there was nothing they could do. It would require surgery I was told a few hours later on New Years Day that he passed. I kept getting calls from BeBe the director asking if he passed. It was very rude. I did let her know I was coming to retrieve his items. I wanted to see how much food he had eaten. I asked Bebe to please leave his area alone. I wanted to know how he left it a week solid. She assured me she would wait until I got there. Once I arrived, nothing was left. Everything was tossed. . I spoke to someone who said he was in pain and slept in his bed the entire time. No one checked on him. This person also was threatened by staff not to speak to me or he would e punished by his meds being held. Stratford killed my brother. They never did anything to help him. They ignored his request even for help with his social security benefits. He wanted to get outta there and would use those to help him. I will never forgive Raymond the front desk clerk or Be Be the director and the gal in charge of helping him with paperwork. I am upset she never raised a finger to help him.

That process didn't sit well with me because I would rather be asking what kind of care they can provide for me and if they can help me with my shoulder vs if they take my insurance. That said, thank goodness my orthopedic surgeon knew who to refer me to. VibrantCare!! James is amazing! Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I have been seeing him for over 2 months and have seen excellent progress with my frozen shoulder. I have seen a few PTs in my life but James is my favorite thus far. He doesn't just give you exercises then walk away. He talks to you about your progress, answers questions, and spends quality time with you. I wish there were 2 of James in that office. The exercises are totally doable. He shows you what to do and how many times you do them for. They use an app for your phone to make t easy for to refer to the exercises, and it comes with videos so you are guided along throughout your care. Ana at the front desk is also awesome! She assists with the exercises to get you started while James is with a client. She is also knowledgeable and professional. What I like about Ana is she will advocate for you to receive care. There was a hiccup with my insurance as far as extending the number of visits to continue my progress, but Ana stayed on top it to get my authorization approved and get me back on track with my appointments so as not to have a lapse in treatment. Their service is not about how many people they can fit in an hour and the PT bounces around to different patients. Nope. That is not VibrantCare. They spend personal time with each client during their entire appointment tine. That's care quality! I only wish there were more Jameses at this office. Thank you VibrantCare!

We were scheduled to have a procedure completed and a payment was collected. On February 17, we had a change of heart and cancelled said procedure. I was clearly told that the refund would be processed, yet it is now June and I still have not received the money or a clear explanation for the delay. Over the past several months, communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional. I have had to repeatedly follow up for updates, only to receive vague responses or no resolution at all. A medical clinic should operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability, especially when handling patients' finances. While the staff may have initially appeared helpful, failing to honor a promised refund for this long is unacceptable. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully review financial policies and documentation before making payments. As far as communication, I am very disappointed with the level of communication and professionalism from this clinic. Since February, I have called on seven different occasions and left multiple voicemails requesting a call back from the manager regarding my unresolved refund issue. To this day, I have not received a single response. Management ignoring repeated attempts to communicate with patients is unacceptable, especially when it involves a significant amount of money owed. I expected better customer service, accountability, and transparency from a professional medical office. I hope the clinic takes responsibility and resolves this matter promptly.

Great Doctor, But Billing Practices & Staff Are a Serious Problem…read more The doctor himself is excellent--but unfortunately the experience is overshadowed by everything else. This office's billing practices are deeply concerning. The doctor is in-network, yet they use two different NPIs: * 1760410625 (given to patients - appears out-of-network) * 1154401941 (used for billing under BASS Medical Group - in-network) This creates confusion about coverage and raises serious questions about how claims are being represented to insurers. They also push a "health data plan" fee that has increased every year--from $135 in 2022 to $287 now--with no clear explanation of what patients are actually receiving. There was no meaningful advance notice of these increases. The doctors are also the owners/founders of the Well Brain platform, which is run out of the lower floor of their Pleasant Hill office--making the mandatory "data plan" fee even more questionable. The biggest issue is the staff. They are consistently rude, abrasive, and poorly managed, and when you question fees or decline to pay, the behavior becomes coercive and hostile. It feels like patients are being pressured rather than cared for. What makes this worse is that many patients rely on pain management and are already struggling financially--this kind of pressure and unclear billing is especially harmful. If you're dealing with this: * Report concerns to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Medical Board of California, or the California Department of Managed Health Care * Email BASS Medical Group's Performance Management Team at performanceimprovment@bassmedicalgroup.com -- this was the only thing that stopped the harassment in my case Patients deserve transparency and respect--not conflicting NPIs, surprise fee increases, and pressure tactics. Do not sign anything you are not comfortable with, and get all NPIs, fees, and network status in writing before agreeing to care.
