Dr. Rena Adhut is an excellent provider! I'll be headed back for my third visit today, but that first visit brought such relief. Just the spine stretchy thing and the slight manipulations were heaven. I experienced the expected soarness, but slept significantly better that evening. I've already referred this provider to a few work colleagues already too because they too could use some relief from the neck and shoulder tightness, headaches, and back pain/stiffness. They've helped me after a car accident and also just for maintenance when I feel tight in my neck, shoulders & hips. I am a yoga teacher and am aware of taking care of my body but I have the type of musculature & connective tissue that benefits from chiropractic tune-ups. i've come here once/month or weekly if I have a flare-up. i'm trying to come in more frequently as a preventative measure, when i am out of alignment and in pain it can disrupt my work and daily activities. I've never felt any sales pressure to buy a package or keep coming back, unless it's recommended for my bpdy or they're just letting me know about an option to save money. INSURANCE: i appreciate they take my insurance. TIP: if you're paying out of pocket get a discounted prepay package and ask if they're offering any black friday or new patient specials. i don't know if they still are on groupon but that's where I initially found Dr Babcock. TIP: take advantage of the 9-minute stim treatment, with heat or ice, before or after your adjustment. if i'm really tight i'll do stim beforehand to get a better adjustment. no one asked me to write this. this review is 100% coming from me. 60 years old. I've been dealing with neck and shoulder pain from sitting at a computer all day, plus I think an old car accident that seemed minor at the time is catching up with me....and um, ahem...getting older. The first visit is a consultation with X-rays with follow up to go over a personalized wellness plan. I'm currently receiving non-invasive neck decompression therapy and ESTIM (electrical stimulation) for muscles and nerves along with manual adjustments by Dr. Dan. It truly has helped with my headaches, neck and shoulder stiffness and minor lower back issues...I just need to be more consistent and keep up with daily stretching at work/home. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Dan - professional and completely puts you at ease. It helps that he's friendly, funny and easy to talk to with any concerns. I found Dr. Asturias through Yelp and I'm so glad I did! He clearly has deep expertise in breaking down scar tissue to promote healing. Over the past 4-5 weeks, I've had 7-8 sessions with him. Each one starts with wrist adjustments and stretching, followed by Graston therapy to break up scar tissue and improve circulation, and ends with light therapy to accelerate healing. I won't lie--each session is painful (feels like torture at times!), but I see noticeable results within a day or two. When I first saw him, I couldn't even push press a 10lb dumbbell or squat because I couldn't bend my wrist back. Also, I was feeling immense pain at the base of the palm with any contact. After just a few sessions, I was pressing my pre-surgery weight and squatting again without pain. It was no quick fix, but he got me back running again. A bonus is that I am able to wear something other than my running shoes on a daily basis - although I do still look for supportive shoes. 2 years ago an issue flared up related to my lower back and he quickly noticed how out of alignment my hips were and after a few visits, I was feeling so much better. But the reason I am writing this is because of my most recent. I was really struggling with ankle pain. I had not injured it and normally when I get this type of pain, it is an indicator that I need new shoes. But new shoes and 6 weeks of no running did not solve the problem. Now the service: First if all, I am completely convinced Park's Acupuncture prolonged my gallbladder for another year and a half. I originally went in for severe upper back pain (a common symptom for needing your gallbladder removed). Like so bad I couldn't sleep at night and wanted to throw up. They noted that it could be gut health and/or due to my jaw clenching (which yes, I do). They did a combo of cupping therapy and acupuncture. They were wonderful about starting me off at 2 times a week, then informing me I could go down to 1, to suggesting every other week, to flat out letting me know that I could simply call them if I started getting pain again. So I went for about 2 months before feeling completely better! I know people are put off by their initial interactions, but seriously, it was so worth it!
