This is one of those places that cultivate a profound sense of pride, gratitude, and humility. It's a sanctuary for quiet thought, peaceful meditation, collaborative celebration, or nature's foyer, as you stretch to prepare for your run or take a drink of water after your afternoon hike. As a lifetime resident, I've visited more times than I could recall, ending a bike ride, practicing amateur photography, or more recently, enjoying the precious moments of watching my young son embrace the magical qualities of nature. I rang the bell three times last week, to celebrate a friend who just ended her cancer treatment. The love and courage represented in the bricks solicit feelings of peace and thankfulness. The six of us stayed about an hour and we picked about 8lbs. worth. Came home and had a great blueberry pancake breakfast using some fresh berries. The owner is a wonderful lady and we spent some time chatting about the area and things to do. She introduced us to her emu and was a very gracious hostess. Trees offer shade in the summer and a background of birds cheeping all year. It's not enough to drown the sounds of City life, but if you focus you can stop focusing. I like cutting through here on my visits to Roanoke and enjoy the different kinds of people who escape into this square.

But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.

Found someone else to look at it and repaired it and could have been that ice maker in freezer was turned on the whole time. Was not hitch up to provide ice. That was clicking noise I kept hearing and may? have been why compressor died.? Also Whirlpool was of no help except to sell me an extended warranty thru another company!
