We used Diuguid's because it was a family tradition. My mother was called the wrong name twice in the service, once Linda and once Mrs. Reynolds. Her name was Jeanne Pugh Ramsey. I asked for two special requests to be included in her service they did not have the request accurate. Oh, and my thank you notes were for Jeanne Pugh Hudson that I received. Then no one brought the register so we had return to the funeral home to pick it up. The second longest living funeral home offered a discount of $360.00 on a $13K funeral. It was an insult to our family.

Don't use them! My father recently passed away and I requested a copy of the death certificate. But…read moredue to the fact his girlfriend paid for it I was unable to acquire a copy. And the funeral director said he'd only work with the person who paid for the funeral. Also I was not allowed to see my own father before he was cremated, again being told that because his girlfriend paid for it I was not allowed to see him.

They are not very responsive when you have questions and want to see a final invoice, then when you finally get the invoice summary it never seems to match what was discussed. Also we were told that the insurance companies as well as social security would be notified by their staff and we provided all the necessary information to do so, only to find out a month later that only social security had been notified. When asked what happened no explanation was given. If you choose Whitten Monelison just go in prepared and verify everything!

We were backed up against a holiday weekend and had some tight deadlines. Paul, Kemp, Francine and the intern (sorry, I forgot your name) at Timberlake Chapel found out all the paperwork we needed to transport cremated remains to the Philippines and managed the entire process for us. They got us death certificates very fast and provided all the paperwork we needed for social security. They even found and obtained a life insurance benefit that we didn't know we had. They were incredibly helpful and kind. I am so grateful and I can't recommend them enough.
