This was my first time here and I wouldn't return unless a deep clean has been done. I can't speak to how it was initially but as of Sept. 2025 the built up grime, safety concerns, and smell was not pleasant. I've been to a few of these indoor playgrounds for birthday parties in the Salem area in the past few years, and Awesome Indoor Playground meets all of the basic requirements, but lacks imagination. Today was my second visit to this location and I was happy to see they've added three designated party areas with decorated walls, which is a welcome addition. However, the rest of the facility is pretty bare bones. There are lots of tables huddled closely together in the center of the room, with a large cafe bar to the right for ordering drinks and food. The play area is pretty straight-forward, offering slides and tunnels and ball pits. The kids all seem to be having fun. The kitchen offers simple pizzas, sodas and alcoholic beverages. There was a tater tot pizza on the menu as well, which was covered with mozzerella and bacon... and was a crowd favorite. Awesome Indoor Playground appears to be on the right track. The wall murals in the designated party areas are a great addition, but they need to add some more color throughout the space. Bring in some more visual appeal, and dust the heating vents and the tops of the play structures. Maybe these aren't details kids will care about, but for bored adults sitting for 2-3 hours... we see these things! read more

My kid has an absolute ball every time we take her there. She's a very high energy kiddo and the other day she played for five hours straight, getting good exercise, making friends, and loving every minute of it. They have lots of seating for parents, though it was pretty crowded on the weekend afternoon we went, and they have good food and beverages for sale. There are three themed birthday party spaces with tables and chairs that look like a good setup, and I also saw several normal tables with birthday decorations and cakes that people had brought. Unfortunately the place does seem a bit understaffed, but they do have a hiring poster so hopefully they'll be able to get that squared away soon. Overall, my kid loves it, and I enjoy hanging out and reading a book while she plays. It is a pretty loud space though, so if your ears are sensitive consider bringing headphones or something. read more

9/14/24 This place needs a serious cleaning. All of the mats are dirty, walls are dirty and the ball pit had used band aids. The toddler section is full of foam cubes (most of which all have bites taken out of them), and my toddler couldn't reach the slides even if she wanted to. The swinging balls are not in the best spot, bigger kids swing out and were smacking into adults and other children, as there isn't enough space for this. I was there this past Saturday for a Family birthday party. I almost didn't stay as the whole place is a filthy mess. Women's restroom all the stalls had fecal matter and there were paper towels everywhere ( understanding the patrons do this) but periodic reviews should be done. The play structure also filthy, the giant tubes have about 2 inches of dust, sponge toys so discolored with filth buildup. No sanitizer in the standing Purel containers. My kids enjoy the playground but the service/food is awful. I bring water bottles and kid snacks purely because it takes 20 minutes to get a bottled water or aple juice box. Last time I asked for water I didn't get it at all, even after my 2 item order was repeated to me. This place could double their profits by adding just a few eats and better service. The redo they did is really cool but the employee's children or friends need to be watched, the little boy and girl were told repeatedly by parents to stop pushing and throwing things at other kids and all efforts were ignored. Skip this place if you have a toddler. Adults are not allowed on the play structure (which i was not told until after i had already paid). But I was told my son could go up there on his own. He is 16 months old..... The toddler area was not enough to entertain my adventurous boy. He went down the slide a couple times, climbed a bit on the foam blocks which were sloppily thrown around the area, then was bored and wanted to play in the big kid area. We left after 15 minutes. I would consider this place again when my son is old enough to play safely unsupervised. But for now it is a big thumbs down. read more

I took my 4 yo three times in the wee we were in the area on vacation. I was initially surprised that adults were not allowed in the structure but after watching her play I realized I wasn't missing anything except for tweaking my knees and bonking my head like I usually do trying to keep up with her. The food was better than expected. The pizza was delicious both the meaty regular and cauliflower crust. The staff was friendly and cleaned frequently. There is a toddler area for the small kids which was open and inviting. My grand daughter loved the giant air bag for jumping. The WiFi worked well. read more

Nope just NOPE. I have a 9 year old and had a 22 month old at the time (now 2). This place is LOUD, like obnoxiously loud. When you get to the thick of the play area, you realize it's a free for all! Kids running a muck like wild animals not paying attention to anyone around them. Parents can't enter the area so it's like Lord of the Flies up in there. And their supposed "toddler" area is no such thing. Big kids all up in that "area" (so tiny, with a climbing slope that leads to the bigger kid area! Makes no sense), stomping and knocking over my littlest babe. Not to mention GERMS galore. Sanitizer necessary. Lots of seating for adults where you can let your bigger kid just go for it, if you dare. But I would say my 9 year old was too big and old, limit is more like 7/8. Tips for ownership: truly separate an area for the toddlers. They want to do bigger kid things and can't, and bigger kids run right into them. Or don't have a small children area at all. read more

One staff member was very rude. I ordered 5 Italian sodas they brought me soda water with a hint of yellow. Tasted like soda water all of them. I asked if this is correct because Italian sodas are made with cream. Cara's answer was if you wanted cream you should have asked for cream. Then brought me burnt mini corn dogs. My three year old loves this place! It did take a couple of times for him to be comfortable going into the big structure. There is a toddler area they just expanded, and parents are allowed to enter with the toddlers. He loves the building blocks and slides that are smaller when he's feeling more timid. They have coffee, espresso, beer, wine and soda. They also serve various food. Pizza, wings and more. I have not tried the food but the espresso is quite good! The staff is friendly and good at directing the children. You can reenter all day after paying so it makes it really reasonable! We like it here! They have a loud gun machines above the toddler area which make it really loud in that area. I've seen smaller children not respond well to it. The way the play structure is set up it makes it difficult to watch your children while sitting in one area. I find myself moving around a lot. Overall, money well spent and it sure beats having my toddler at home all day because of rain! It's a nice alternative to other indoor play areas Salem offers. read more

It's deceiving, seems small but really large enough for quiet a few kids to play and not run into each other. They have 2-3 slides inside the structure and 4 colorful slides as a main exit. They have 7 air guns that shoot purple balls in a netted area, they have plenty of climbing obstacles and a orb look out at the top. They have a swing and slide, a bounce balloon, a toddler area and trains that can be peddled with hands on a track with two minute turns. They open at 8am-8pm and although they are indoor they do funnel large amounts of air in from outside so won't be safe, but better for poor air quality days. They have a cafe that serves wings, tots, pizza, and drinks including coffees of all kinds, wine, cider and soft drinks. They have some snack foods available for purchase as well. The food can take a while so plan ahead and don't wait for kids to ask for food or it can be 30+min after that no matter what you order. The seating area allows shoes unlike any blue mat areas and consists of 6 picnic tables, 8+ round tables and three sections of couches with a wall of tvs. The location for shoes is the divider between the play area and seating. There are two bathrooms with pink and blue doors to help littles know. For littles the earlier the better before big kids. Weekends and evenings are often crazy busy with birthdays. They do have a waiver to sign for your first time and register your kids so it's easier the next time. It's $9 a day and you can leave and come back anytime the day for naps good etc but outside food is not allowed. (I'm sure birthdays have exceptions) Overall a fantastic location option of fun and essentially a discovery zone of this generation. read more

Have been a few times with my daughter. She loves this place! Large place to play and climb with many options for the kids. Lots of seating for families and parties. I have not purchased food but I've had the coffee several times and it was very good for the price. My biggest "complaint" would be that the staff seems very disinterested and sometimes annoyed in being around the kids and do a seem really bored which is never a great look for a child friendly establishment They are very friendly however. It would be nice to see a staff member inside the play structure to supervise the activity inside since it does get rather wild at times. All in all I think it's a good option for something to do with the kids in Salem. Would recommend. read more

Apparently we don't care once so ever about the mask mandate. All the people are crawling on top of each other and no one has masks on. My younger kids really love this place. They're 1, 3, and 4 years old. Pros: *Indoors and easy to keep an eye on your kids. *Decent variety of things to do *If you go early, it's less packed. *Clean equipment & clean bathroom *Pay once, but can play a while, leave and come back as long as it's the same day. Cons: *Sometimes it's too packed. Call before you go if it's a holiday or midday. *I literally have to be inside the structure with my youngest kids because the supervision is minimal & the employees look like teens that hate their jobs, so .. you get the point. Not leaving my 1 year old to get trampled on by bigger kids. *The food is awful. Bring snacks in a bag or eat before you go. Not worth your money. Great place for kids, the playground is huge and very impressive. I took my nieces and nephew there, and they all had a great time. We called to be added to the waitlist; there were nine families ahead of us, so our wait was a little long, but we were able to get lunch, and as soon as we were paying, they called to let us know our spot was open. Nice place to let the kids run around however I did not witness one time seeing tables, toys etc with any sanitizing. The prices are ridiculous as well, $3 for a bottle of water and you know with kids running around they will need something to drink and nothing is allowed outside. The food prices are even worse. I spent $13 on a couple chocolate milks, a coffee and a water. You also cannot be near your children so while they are playing on the structures you cant always see where they are and then kids crying and screaming and not knowing from where or from who. Overall, my kids enjoyed coming here the 2 times we've been over the past couple years. However, I'm not sure we will be back. The first time we came in 2019, my kids were almost 3 and almost 2. They played exclusively in the baby/toddler area, which would have been great if it weren't for many big kids coming in and being rough/bullying/taking toys. Parents weren't watching their kids and the employees finally had to come chase them out several times. The second time we came about a month ago, we had the same issue of big kids being rough and mean bullies. Except this time my kids are older and were in the main area. The most aggressive child was actually an enployees kid and was absolutely not supervised. He hurt my son several times and was verbally mean to my 3 year old and made him cry. On top of that, there was a 1.5 year old (I'm guessing) wandering around completely unsupervised who also belonged to an employee. This child was harrassing people, stealing food, going through people's bags and purses, and even smacked my hand when I took my water bottle back from her. I was afraid to get up to use the restroom because she would most certainly be at our spot and stealing/going through our things. Absolutely unacceptable that these employees let their children run feral throughout and make it an unwelcoming place. Especially considering the price of admission and food. We left because of the run ins with these kids. *adding that we have been here once before pandemic and once after, and the experience was the same. We've been here a handful of times and each time the staff moves more and more slowly. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. Waited for over 10 mins just to pay admission. Suggestion to the owners: have a separate p.o.s. for food and admission and retrain staff to not leave the service desk for long periods of time when there are guests waiting. It's a good concept and if they had better staff that actually monitored and liked their job it would be a lot better. The signs say that no adults are allowed in the play areas but the staff looked the other way when a grown woman went down the slide with her vape, but yet we were told something when we got to close to the area that adults aren't allowed. I thought maybe her child had an issue, but she came down vaping..... wtf. Please hire staff that actually like children and want to be here or at least don't discriminate or bend rules for certain people. Had my daughters birthday party here yesterday was trying to set up our tables when out of nowhere a little girl appeared maybe 2 or 3 at most she kept climbing on the chairs at our table trying to poke at my daughters cake no one knew who's kid it was about 10 mins later we found out it belong to one of the girls working there yes I get it's an indoor playground but if you can't supervise the child at all times do not bring them to work. Also had issues w out food I ordered tots and fries w drinks for right when we arrived so 11 and asked for out pizza to be out by noon well here comes noon still no good had to go ask none of them knew about my order and said we thought it was all supposed to come at once long story short it didn't all seperate 2 of the pizzas were burnt the fries were burnt absolutely disgusting then when I get home and check my online receipt I was charged for loaded fries I never ordered nor did I get any even tho it says I paid for them on my receipt all in all fun place for kids but really crappy service would not recommend read more

They don't allow adults to stay with their small children. I brought my 2 year old here to play and of course she wanted to play in the large play structure, not the tiny toddler area. She wasn't tall enough to climb the structure alone and pointed to it and the large slides crying because I couldn't help her. I am never going back and would recommend you go to Gilbert House instead if you want a fun experience with your child. read more

Paid $14.00 for admission which in my opinion, is a lot for one kid. However, my husband did remind me that we pay about $8.00 for one hour at Super Bounce. At least there is no time limit here. The food is a bit overpriced for the amount you get. We ordered a "medium" BBQ Chicken Pizza that cost $16.00 and was the size of a personal sized pizza that I've seen at other places for 1/2 the price. The pizza was good but not worth the price for the size. I don't like how adults can't go onto the structure to help their kids if need be. Staff supervision is minimal. My son had fun so we will probably be back on a weekday when admission is cheaper and we won't be ordering the food. read more

Ok..I never leave reviews, but my husband and I brought our kids here a while back and it still bothers me to this day. The price for the kids to play during the week was good. Large area for the adults to sit and watch tv, but I wasn't a fan that an establishment for children served white claws. At the time the mask mandate was still in place, but the staff did not enforce it with anyone there, so that too made me feel uncomfortable. The play area is fair in size, but adults aren't allowed to go on the blue mats with the kids, which I can see pro's and con's to it. My eldest was 9 at the time and my son is 2 and autistic. He had never been to an indoor playground, so I wasn't sure how he was going to react, especially because he likes us to be heavily involved when he plays. I asked the lady helping us if we were allowed to go in to get him if he gets stuck or distressed, she told us she would try to get him first and if he wouldn't let her, we could get him. That too didn't sit right with me. Luckily he did great. The blue mat where the kids first enter is extremely dirty, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We arrived that day pretty early, so there was no way it could have gotten that dirty, that quickly. If they're ok with leaving that so gross, who's to say how the rest of the equipment would be like. But the main reason we won't be back is because one of the employees (perhaps the owner? I'm not sure) had her kids and what looked like maybe some kids she was looking after playing on the playground. There were several times where she had to be excessively stern with them and spoke so rudely to them it broke my heart. Yes kids get in trouble (what do you expect when you let them run free and no adults can be back there to monitor them and it turns into lord of the flies?) and everyone parents their own way, but geez, they're just children. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I was there 5 minutes, was told I wasn't allowed anywhere but the toddler section. Then I watched some kid pick my child up at the top and hurt her. I asked multiple times about the limits of people due to COVID... I was told using all 4 tables (10 people per table) wasn't an issue as social distancing was in place. I also let them know I would be calling a couple days in advance to pre order 7-8 pizzas. On 9/14 I received a call from the indoor playground asking me to give up 2 of the tables I reserved 2 weeks prior.. when I said no I was then asked to bump up the time of my party as someone else called wanting to book their party same time/day... I said no. I said I could give up 1 table but would prefer not to as I was sure they would be used. The associate then told me per COVID they could actually only reserve 2 tables per party. We went back & fourth as I was trying to understand how I couldn't use the 4 tables per COVID but they would allow me to use 2 & another party at the same time use 2 so the amount of people would still be the same? I finally spoke with the manager to find out why 2 weeks after I reserved & asked these questions before reserving I was now being told a different story & it seems to have only come up because someone else now wants to book same day/time. I said it seems fishy that now someone else wants to have a party same day & time I'm being asked to change my reservation I made 2 weeks prior... the manager assured me that there wouldn't be another party at the same time. She told me the associate that booked all 4 made a mistake & they can only promise me 2 tables but if the others were open we could use them... I said okay, I wasn't happy with it but I accepted it & agreed to still have my sons birthday there. On 9/21 they called to confirm the party to take place on 9/26. On 9/22 I called them back to confirm but I was told there was actually another party at the same time.... I then canceled my party reservation. Not only was it rude to call me asking me to move my party around to accommodate someone else who was trying to book 2 weeks after me but nobody who works there could seem to get their story straight or know what they can/can't book. Never again will I be supporting this business. They are just awful & terrible. read more
