We're in our mid 30's and there were six of us guys and we did a group paintball package. Our host/referee was Lucas and he was amazing. Lucas made every game unique and made the teams as even as possible. We expected the paintballs to be paintballs but to our surprise they were reusable foam or rubber. I actually appreciated this as it was cleaner and kept the floors safer from being wet and slippery. The guns were a honor kiss and jammed a ton unless you got a unicorn that only jammed every 15 shots. It's fun for all ages and the paintballs don't hurt that bad. The pricing was fair. We had an awesome time nonetheless and would go back. read more

I gotta say I had a great experience here despite the spastic asshole teenagers. The arena for paint ball is awesome. Plenty of obstacles and places to hide and fire. The rental equipment I used functioned great and the Staff were super helpful in between games charging tanks and hanging out paint balls. The only downside was the teenagers that were there playing. On several occasions and my friends were tagged by intentional friendly fire by these shit heads while leaving the arena once we'd been we were out of spawns. read more

My buddies and I are regular players, but we had some winter weather and decided to play indoor today. This was our first time, and I have to say these guys are great. They were polite, professional, but assertive (as a ref should be.) overall we had a great experience and will definitely go back. I'd say one surprise was the sawdust on concrete flooring, it gets slippery, so bring the correct foot ware. Thanks to Tyler and Austin for being great hosts. I'm a regular at Extreme Velocity and my last experience was during the Apocalypse Airsoft even on Halloween night 10-31-22. Out of all my experiences with airsoft this was perhaps the most fun that I've had. Great people, great staff and a friendly atmosphere. I play exclusively airsoft now a days and I play in both arenas, each with it's own distinctive feel to it and a lot of fun. There are a good variety of play modes but the events such as on Halloween night are by far the best of them all and I hope to see more events in the future as it was absolute chaos in the best of ways, paired with actual objectives and players that encouraged, helped and made everyone engaged and interested in what was going on. All three teams on the field were excited and working together, but with clear support and comradery for the other teams too. Just a spectacular night for the newer players as well as the more experienced players of which there was a healthy mix. David was our ref and organizer for the event and he was both extremely knowledgeable and great to interact with. My experience as well as what I saw of him with others is if they had any issues or questions he went out of his way to get it taken care of with sincere concern and compassion. He was on point and good at reading the field, it's players and what he needed to do to keep the night flowing in a direction and pace that helped the people there have a good time. David rocked!!! I set up an event with my crew from work to go here. Several of them are members of special teams and are into this kind of thing. The rest of us just love the atmosphere. Warpaint is an indoor (and outdoor, on Saturdays) paintball course, with lots of buildings, structures, and walls for cover. The ground is a sawdust/paintball mix, the lighting is dim, and the sound system is thumping. We all got in on a Groupon deal. $15 bucks got us all day play, 200 paintballs, marker and mask rental, and unlimited air. Between the twelve of us, we eventually bought two cases of ammo, as 200 rounds is enough to fill one hopper, and that just won't cut it. It seriously won't. The crew here were amazing. Young kids, all into paintball, and it's obviously a way of life with these guys. They're like roadies, but with paintball and paintball related activities. They kept things engaged with different forms of the game, and, as we were all in the same group and all friends, let us monkey with the rules somewhat. For example, our last game of the night was a variation of the game called "Painball." You only went out if you called yourself out. Many of us went home bloody. Loving life and having a blast with each other though. And that's what it's all about. I've seen Warpaint here since I moved to Salem, many, many years ago. It seems to have a good following, but I heartily support any and everyone going there to give it a show. We have decided to make it a monthly tradition, and everyone is so amped about it, it's making people jealous who didn't know that we had an event going on. I went there for my birthday on June 15 and had an amazing experience playing with my family. There was only one other family there playing with us which was nice and they were kind. The man helping us out teaching us how to play laser tag was very nice and knowledgeable, also humorous. It was a little hot in the arena area so I think they should add an air conditioning if they don't already. I'd also like to point out the guy running our laser tag game, seemed genuinely interested in teaching us how to play. Def recommend will want to play again and maybe check out the paintball. read more

I came to this place with some friends, just to check out the equipment. They have a large amount of equipment for paintball and airport games (clothing, ammo, and guns). I have not seen the course itself, but it looks large from the outside. There are also Groupons for this place as well. Staff was cool as well. read more

We had our 14 year old son's birthday party here and it was such a hit! Three hours of air soft games with different missions to accomplish in each game. Plenty of space to bring in pizza and cake and the employees were so accommodating and kind. Tyler was the "ref" that ran our air soft games and he was amazing! I recently visited for my son's 12th birthday party. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, all things considered the facility was clean. The facility had plenty of space for a gathering or party. The boys enjoyed two sessions of laser tag and even a few rounds of paintball. The matches were well organized with significantly less downtime than other facilities. My 16 yr old daughter wanted to get into the sport and so I bought a $100 membership which is good for a year and covers your immediate family plus one guest. Cheaper than buying your own gear and kit, It's a really good deal imo as you get free rental gun and use of facilities. You only have to pay for air refills and paint. Plus you get a discount on paint and all their pro shop gear. Air all day is $10/person and discount paint comes to $50/case. So my daughter and 12 yr old son and I can play for about 3-5 hours on one case of paint and we refill about 2-3 times each in that time. For $80 we can play a good chunk of the day. Now, the outside and inside are not terribly inviting to newcomers. The lot is shared with other business and is in dire need of repair. The inside is very shop like and a filthy floor around the staging area. It's understandable because people are coming out of the arena covered in paint and blown in bark dust/dirt. Remember also, that this is a sport with its own insider culture and can be odd until you get used to it. There are a lot of sweaty, teenage boys with foul mouths. Bachelor parties and birthday groups abound. But there is also a lot of effort by the refs and staff to ensure you're having a good time. We were repeatedly asked if that was so and they really went the extra measure to make that happen. There are events and outdoor fields that we look forward to getting into. The website is one of the weakest parts as it has some conflicting info and is poorly maintained. It's hard just to find out when they are open unless you visit the location. The culture of the players is varied. You get a lot of first timers like us who are learning and they don't always remember the rules or play fair/appropriately. Then there are veterans/regulars who have advanced gear, know the mechanics and arena so well they can easily dominate and overwhelm. Many many players are very cool people who are ready to discuss their love of the sport and their gear. Once you engage them and show you want to learn and have respect for others, they readily welcome you. All in all, it's been a great couple of visits and we played for 6+ hours each time. Saturdays are the most busy and you can wait up to 2 hours for your next game. Each round lasts 15 mins so you can sit a while. We like weekday nights and Sundays. read more

My experience with Warpaint isn't playing paintball... It's with their services. I came in twice with my Soda Stream CO2 bottle for a refill weeks apart and got quick friendly service (BTW... Soda Stream bottles are a pain to fill) for a nominal fee. While I was waiting I watched an exciting game of paintball from the viewing area. Doing Paintball isn't my thing but the players were clearly having fun. Overall I'd say this is a friendly place and I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend it. read more

Don't normally post on Yelp, but my wife and I came here for the first time and loved it. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about how to get into playing air soft and let us do pretty much whatever we wanted in the arena. They are very safety conscious and have all the gear you would need to upgrade your guns/equipment. I am new to the sport so I am not sure how prices compare to other places. We did pick a day to come when no one else was playing so I am excited to come back and play with more experienced players! read more

We went here for my sons birthday party to play laser tag they also offer paintball and air-soft, my son did paintball with his older brother the weekend before and he was not impressed with how it felt so we stuck to laser tag. We were greeted within seconds upon arriving and directed to the party room that we had for the first hour. I do feel like an hour isn't very long for the room and trying to cram everything in is near to impossible but lucky for us there was no party to follow until much later in the day so the staff let us stay longer and finish up! All the staff we encountered we super and friendly and helpful and we appreciated that. I should have paid better attention to names. The man guy who helped us was awesome and the ref that did most of our games was super with the kids and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing. This place has had a makeover since the last time I went here years ago and it looks much better, there is only one indoor field though that leads to a long wait time in between matches which with 11 kids full of energy can sometimes be hectic and exhausting. Although I did hear rumors of a possible dry field being added in the future, which would be awesome and hopefully meaning less wait time between matches. Saturday get really busy but luckily with advice from my oldest (a regular) we went early to go early and were able to get in 3 of the games (5 total) before it got to busy. We did end up spending about 3 1/2 hours there so I would plan ahead. I had to reach out to parents in the middle of the party and let them know we were not going to be done at the previously mentioned time. My son such a great time and told me it was the best birthday party he had ever had. I have also been contacted by parents since the party telling me that their kids had such a great time they plan on taking them back. read more

The field and renting options were nice but for the entire three hours that I was there, I only participated in one round of paintball. For the $200 dollars that my entire group payed, we deserved to get more than 7 minutes of gameplay. Really terrible experience. Waste of a birthday party. read more

I created a reservation for my son's birthday party three weeks before we planned attend. Apparently, reservations mean nothing, because the kids did not get to play until over an hour after their reservation began. Furthermore, so many people were allowed to be in the facility, the boys only played for about a minute before they were out, and did not get to play again for over 45 minutes. So, I paid over $200 for 7 boys to play paintball, and they got to play for only 2-5 minutes. Very poorly run. They did not put a limit on the number of participants the facility could handle in a timely manner, as one would expect with a reservation. Furthermore, the staff tried to blame me for not checking to see if they were busy that day before making the reservation...ours was the first reservation entered for the day in question. Now, I am stuck with over 3,000 paintballs and a wasted birthday party. read more
