I said my truck's not even in the garage, where is it? The guy proceeded to tell me to sit down and would be out soon never gave me a time. I said I'd like it out in the next minute or two he said it's coming it's coming and I thought what are they doing? I sat down and said you know all you had to do was tell me yesterday that you were too busy to take on my vehicle. I would've rescheduled it for another day. He then said well it didn't get busy until after you left most likely, Lie #2. (then why not call me and tell me they won't be able to get to my truck that day.) Dave has had a reputation but it has certainly changed from other reviews. He charged $2600 for…read morework and labor. I already had the parts. I had a battery mounted in trunk. Before he finished the car I said will the battery come out if I need to change it. He says yes it should but I didn't even think about that and laughed. I go to pick the car up and battery is way to large. He left the rear seat sound deadening down on the seat and installed the carpet without the sound deadener put back in place. He broke my car key(saying he dropped it) Didn't reinstall the carpet panel on the trunk lid. There are wood and carpet shavings he still left in the car. Left lots of screws in the trunk run channel and closed the trunk on the screws. He said come back in a week and I'll have everything and if I get a smaller battery to put back in trunk he will remove the old larger one. He kept telling me he will find a battery small enough for me. After about a month I went ahead and bought one since he already got his money and didn't want to correct his errors. I finally 2 months later got him to accept me dropping the car off when I went out of town. I call him 1 1/2 weeks later and he said it's all done. I go over there and he didn't do anything except install my new battery on top of the old one when it was agreed he would remove the old one. He didn't put the sound deading back either and now there is more shavings in the car than before. He didn't even trip the carpeting and the entire rear on the box and loose carpet. He then wants to charge me extra $200 when he is the one who screwed up. He then back tracks and said. "you didn't tell me you wanted to battery accessible" I would expect someone who builds a system in a car would take in account there is a battery that will need to be accessible since they have a shelf life. Sad that I know people that knew him from 30-25 years ago and said he was good. Times have changed. Maybe this is why he doesn't have a shop anymore and works out of his house under a canopy. Stay away. HE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK AND IF HE HAS TO FIX SOMETHING HE WILL EXPECT TO GET PAID FOR IT!!!

They then told me it was in the bodyshop even though they said there was no accident or damage on the phone. I asked to see the car fax and they said they were waiting to get the car fax from the bodyshop to see if they were going to mark the damage or not.. I told them to send me pictures when it came back. It took a week and they asked for 16,888. It was listed for 11,038. I sent a screenshot of the advertisement and they said "that's not our website." We went over the price in the phone and in person, now he's lying and saying that he told me the price was incorrect in person when he didn't. The only thing he said about the price in person that it was low because it was a trade in. He said he could "discount" the veichle to 14,000 for the inconvenience, which is still much more than what was advertised. I reported them the BBB and the FTC already but I urge consumers not to go here.
