The guard asked me to please call or email the HOA staff because she did not want them to get mad at her since they have done in the past. Why would a security guard be afraid of the HOA - only if the Southern States Management staff is not treating their employees with respect and with civility. Note the HOA staff are all Caucasian and the guard gate staff are almost all minorities so I cannot imagine someone being scared to do their job. I did as the guard gate asked and below is the exact response from Craig Nisbett. Note he works for the homeowners, we pay his salary and his company to manage our HOA. Nobody should respond in such a manner anyone; I cannot imagine how he speaks to the guards for them to be afraid of him. If anyone in business spoke this way to a peer or client they would be fired and he should be fired too given he did not do his due diligence nor does he have any Emotional Intelligence. May Management sent out a photographer to take pictures of the commercial unit, and she purposely took pictures to include our private residence on the world wide website. We live in an area that is somewhat secluded, and liked it that way. Suddenly, our home is on view to anyone who clicks on the site! We asked the owner, nearly three years ago, to crop out our private home from her ad, but she will not do so. Airbnb will also not help. They are purposely using our private residence in their commercial ad, effecting our privacy. There is plenty of space to crop out our home, which would only take a couple of minutes. Now, besides Airbnb, they have placed all the same ads on the Utopia vacation rental website as well. They just don't give a damn.

Meanwhile I had tried to get out my lease 6 months earlier . They messed that up too. I had never been late on a payment and paid over 50,000 in rent!!! They never returned my full deposit because they said I had unpaid rent !!!! I physically couldn't stay there . Right now a month later after throwing out all our belongings , living with different families and being treated for CIRS, still sick I can only hope they reap what they sow. The neighbors said they replaced the roof but if no repairs were done inside. as stated in the report, the attic, kitchen wall behind the ac, water damaged cabinets with aspergillus weren't addressed another family will suffer . We vacated the premises and requested that she work with the owner to fairly return the prorated rent. As soon as we left the rental all his mold related symptoms dissipated. At first she was unresponsive and then she turned downright mean. She has offered nothing in return to the money we paid and has now accused us of theft in trying to get some of our money back. Even worse she has made horrible remarks (saying my mother-in-law should charge my husband rent and 'who could blame her' and has acted in an extremely unprofessional manner and has made up a few lies to try and defend her position (e.g. we accused a cleaning lady of stealing a jacket/not running the HVAC that she herself had to change bc it was so disgusting. I'm sure she'll provide excuses/lies to my review but seriously, think about my experience and the other negative reviews. If you feel like having a horrible experience, work with Amy.
