Just a local dive bar. Dark and dank. Cheap drinks. Service is hit or miss. Great location. Oakland Gyros right next door. Yay.

A dive bar in Milwaukee that is not too special and is very dark. Plenty of room in this bar although service could be better.

We got there on the earlier side, around 5:15 on a Tuesday, and it was already filling up. By the time we left there were already no tables available. A QR code on the table with an online menu might be a better option? Or come in to yelp and check out their menu! I've added pictures below. Bartenders were superb and the food was quite amazing. Crispy Brussel Sprouts: If you hate Brussel sprouts, skip it, but if you want to give it a chance, I'd say this is the place to do it. 1/2 LB Burger is actually cheaper than the Brussel sprouts. They complement each other quite well. It can get quite loud inside, so not your romantic spot (go down the street to Buttermint for that), but if you're looking for a fun, loud, delicious spot, this is it. UPDATE 3/2024 The steak salad is absolutely gorgeous to look at and delicious to the tastebuds. Dressing is probably not keto friendly, but I love it so much!! Maybe try to ask for the dressing on the side next time.. UPDATE - 6/2025 - no longer on the menu SAD. Steak Sandwich is flavorful according to Hany.

The bartender seemed pretty involved with the patrons already seated inside, but he did what needed to be done efficiently. And yes, it is dog friendly, which is great if you're a dog looking for night out at the bar. I find myself getting a little tired of never finding an animal free patio space anymore - don't get your pitchforks - I love them, but I'm allergic. Also, my cats and I appreciate some "me time" so they're just as glad that I leave then alone when I go out and don't force them to come with me to the bar. I think so dogs might feel the same.

From the outside it is so bland and you are truly unsure if you are walking into an abandoned building or a crappy towny bar. They have a nice selection of craft beers, including my new favorite: Downeast Blackberry! For food, you have your choice of small bites, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Pretzel bites and chicken tenders are a safe choice for the kiddos. My husband ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich, and I had the Maple Harvest salad. My husband, who is a bit of a coleslaw snob, enjoyed the slaw, but was a bit thrown off by the red peppers. However, they were nice and crunchy as was the rest. My salad was fresh and delicious, with generous pieces of bacon and apples. This is the third time we've visited this spot, and the third time it's been a new bar/restaurant. Not like the good old days when the yellow school bus would pick up from several North Ave bars. Alas... As of 2026, you can ride the shuttle if you either a.) buy two drinks or b.) buy a $10 voucher which can be used for food or drink then or another time. Their shuttle goes to Brewer games as well! We got a drink and the bus showed up not too long after, we were the first on the small bus but it quickly filled. I would say don't be like us, give yourself more time to get there in case the shuttle waits for people or traffic is bad by the destination. My only complaint is on the way back from the fest, the driver took the wrong ramp and we were headed to Bayview until the first exit was available. He didn't communicate that to us which was weird. "Oops, sorry everyone" would have been a normal thing to say. At that point we were Vier South instead of Vier North. Recently we came back to use our vouchers for dinner, the plan was fish fries because we're always on the hunt for a good one. The fish pieces were smaller and you get 4 (my photos make it look larger). We joked it's more like cod nuggets, I'd prefer 2 larger pieces with more fish inside. Some of what you saw was batter and not fish so a little deceiving. The fries and coleslaw were good but we didn't like the sweeter tarter sauce. Overall we were very full but for me, I wouldn't get the fish fry again not due to taste but fish fries are expensive everywhere and I prefer more fish and thinner batter. Next time, I'd try a burger. The cloud bread was on my list to try for a long time but it was just okay in my opinion. Their pizza looks good too so I want to try some other items on the menu. The service was fine, I think we came around a shift change so several people helped us. The interior was well done, it looks so much better now and that patio is a great addition. The bar near the bathrooms has a little sitting area that looked chill. They have poker nights and other fun things so check it out!
