I feel like this place needs some recognition. We had a blast! First off, the bar and patio are perfect. Who ever designed this layout, kudos to you. It felt like a fancier bar, more than just the classic tavern style every Milwaukee bar is serving up. Fully loaded beer/drink menu. We sat outside since it was beautiful out. Our server was very attentive, and knew everything about the menu. The burger was delicious, with perfectly melted cheese. You can taste the quality in the meat and cheese. My wife had the house chicken sandwich. The chicken was thin, with a good amount of crunch. Exactly what you want for the perfect sandwich. Id love to come back for their pizza special on Monday nights. And for trivia! It looks like they have a shuttle so I hope to use that soon as well. read more

Food was good, no doubt. Prices are pretty decent for the location. But the service was not so great. It started out fantastic, but after we received our food, we were never checked on again and actually had to literally chase down our server to get the bill. Outside there were three tables of people, one large group who was waiting for the baseball shuttle and just drinking. Two larger tables were set up as reserved inside. They slowly filled as we ate our meal. And one other table of two came in after us. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. All this to say, it wasn't crazy busy by any stretch. We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food. So, all in all, not the worst dining experience ever, but not the best. Being ignored is never fun. read more

The food was decent but the service was below average. There was an odd vibe as soon as we walked in and it only got worse when a customer accused the staff of stealing his wallet. The customer was yelling, some of the staff were yelling. Overall not my favorite dining experience. The staff could have done a much better job dealing with the customer situation. I doubt we will go back. read more

We had such an amazing time at an event at vier north! The service went above and beyond and the food was really good - definitely way above your average bar food. The French fries were some of the best ever and You gotta order the cloud bread! The only downside is they were out of Sprite! read more

Viet North has turned in our go to place when we can't decide what we want or what to do. Every Friday they have live music & no matter the night there is a steady pace of people coming and going. We love their Cesar Salad & wrap, bbq pizza, and pretzel! It usually gets busy pans sometimes the service is slower but always kind and accommodating. read more

I've grown up and apparently so has the East Side. Vier North is open in the old Vituccis space and it's really, really nice. Clean bathrooms. Strong cocktail game. Actual food (didn't try). Live jazz. Pleasant service. I'm sure some will miss the skeezy old Victuccis with yucky bathrooms, where you may/may not get served a roofie colada but not me. read more

Honestly, I am impressed by this establishment which took over from the former, really sketchy (IMHO) bar. I heard stories about that place so I stayed away. Thankfully, I do enjoy this friendly, affordable, and spacious bar and restaurant. It's great if you are a sports fan, into music, live for music bingo, or all of the above. The service is consistently quick, friendly, and engaging. They have a number of options as far as food. Appetizers, larger meals, and (perk for me) numerous vegetarian options. There is so much space especially during the warmer months when the deck is open. Also, it's across from the library. A win win if you ask me! I went with my family earlier today and normally we like it here quite a bit. The bartenders attitude was so poor and the whole time just made it seem like we (a small, patient group of three) were an inconvenience. We tried to be understanding because the bar seemed steadily busy, but the attitude was interesting. The food was okay, cheese curds are always reliable here. The attitude and pace of the bartender was really just the kicker here. Unfortunate too because this place is so cute and could be great if they could get a better flow. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, although a little reserved/shy. To be fair we were a big group so maybe it was a bit intimidating. She had great customer service though! The cool thing about this place is that you can host your events here (for free) and utilize the space. We even got some discounts for hosting there! Basically felt like what a happy hour price/deal would be. The menu is small, this seems way more like a drinking spot. The drinks were simple & fairly priced, the inside looks really clean and nice (huge upgrade from what was there before), and the patio is pretty big and comfortable! I ordered the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The chicken on the sandwich was cooked very well, I loooved the flavor. One thing I don't like for any sandwich is when the bun/bread gets really soggy and flimsy. I couldn't even eat the bottom bun because it was just so wet from the toppings on this sandwich. I think a more sturdy (lol) bun would be better for this and improve the eating experience for sure. I'd visit again for sure! read more

Burgers were very good. Drinks were YUMMY. Sweet potato fries were top notch. Unique and flavorful BBQ sauce. Only 2 dessert options, but they're very good, too. Super-friendly service. Visited the Vier for the dirt Tim on Monday July 14th. Since it was a Monday they didn't think that they would be busy so there was only one person to be hostess, bartender and server. It ended up being a beautiful evening so it got busy with everyone wanting to sit outside on the deck. Janae got us started with beers and took our order. She was very attentive even though she was very busy. We asked for a plain burger for our pup. The chef came out to check on us an and met our dog Winston. The burger was perfect for him. My wife and I also had a burger with all the fixings. It was great and my daughter's pizza was perfect as well. The tap beers were ice cold and awesome! We will be back. read more

Went with a large group (11) this past weekend with a reservation for brunch at 11:30. The waitress seemed like we were somehow an inconvenience to her even though we were all ready to order from the start. Our waters were refilled only once, and we were told that we had to wait on our refills for bottomless mimosas because they were out of OJ (at 11:30 on a Saturday morning when we were the only ones there?). Food was decent, but service was not. There was also a random full on poker game (table and chips and all) happening next to our table? Wouldn't recommend. Vier North became our post-Oriental Theater go-to when they opened, and it continues to be our favorite spot in the area. Beautiful remake of the old Vitucci's space with great service and great food on their recently expanded menu. Lovely patio and garage doors to open the place up in the warmer months. I went to the neighborhood holiday party for a sneak peak and to try the food. I was thrilled to see the new remake since my family has owned this location since 1934. They did a terrific job on the remodel and the food was quite good. While I'm partial to the old Vitucci's aka "The Nest" lol I have to admit the inside is very nice almost a bit too nice, but that's ok for north avenues changing demographic. I had my wedding rehearsal here because they were able to accommodate a large group and WOW they blew me away with the service, food, and drinks! They did a great job with this renovation. The staff was super personable and welcoming, the pizza was my favorite and the specialty drinks were incredible. Highly recommend! They took great care of our big group! read more
