Turned Off Heat Too Early -- Uncaring and Unresponsive Management If I could give zero stars, I would. The property management here is absolutely the worst I've ever dealt with. They don't answer phone calls or respond to emails--yet if you walk into the office, you'll often find them sitting at their desks chatting with each other instead of doing their jobs. It's frustrating and unprofessional. They have no problem sending out email after email with restrictions and demands, but when it comes to communicating with residents or addressing real concerns, they go completely silent. To make matters worse, on April 28th, they turned off the heat while the outside temperature is currently 47 degrees. When I tried to contact Marquette Companies (located in Naperville) during business hours, no one answered. Just another voicemail. This entire organization lacks basic customer service, professionalism, and accountability. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I would definitely not recommend anyone to live here the parking situation is horrible in front of my building there is a huge curb that will literally destroy your car if you don't go up or down it properly on top of that there is no parking for your guests. They also advertise that they are non smoking but there are plenty of tenets here who smoke and when you complain to management about it all they do it send out an email and it doesn't go any further than that. management is never available to help you with anything you can call the office and they are always conveniently in a meeting not available or the office is closed early. Then when you go on your tour they will show you a beautiful model unit and the unit you actually move into looks nothing like that half of your appliances are used when I moved in our dishwasher didn't even work and the air conditioner had to be replaced. The snow removal process is a joke they only shovel the walk ways so you have to just hope you don't slip in the parking lot walking to or from your car cuz they won't shovel it. the hallways are horribly ventilated always smell like smoke or garbage one time someone threw up down the hallways and stairs and when I complained about it I was told it was not an emergency and it did not get cleaned until days later I could go on and on about my experiences here the only appealing thing about it is the neighborhood it's located in and overall if I could give this place a zero I would. read more

Probably one of the worst property management team I have ever dealt with. The staff really seems like they don't care about anything, you know, up until it's time to renew the lease. They raise rates without giving you notice, then insist they did give notice, all in a condescending tone. The gym equipment is okay, but a lot of the times the weights are broken. No oversight on anything. Property is good, but that doesn't make up for the attitudes of the staff. read more

This place is trash. The community is horrible. Loud, rude community. Parking is a joke. They truly have given and will let anyone in. Don't let them fool you with their quick tour. You will regret signing your lease within a couple of weeks. read more

Me and my husband have been a resident of Axis since 2015 i.e. 5 years. We have had our share of disappointments but nothing provoked me to write a negative review like the recent situation.  We were denied extension to stay for 3-4 more days after our lease ended even after we offered to pay the whole month rent instead of just those days. This little flexibility by the management , if they had helped us, could have enabled us to catch our international flight back to our home county safely without having to lurk around for hotel accommodation for 3-4 days and thus endanger our safety . Please note that we booked the earliest flight that was possible  since we were aware of our lease end but the management strictly asked us to look for hotel accommodation .  During times like these when the world is in the midst of a pandemic, when empathy and flexibility is the only virtue that people strive for, this lack of empathy has fueled me shock as to why the loyal residents are treated such.  I urge the management to look into such matters attentively and hope nobody is in such situation ever again.  Utterly disappointed. read more

The parking situation here at Axis is a mess. I get home from work about midnight and there is never any spots left on my unit by the time I get home, or in the lots next to me. I usually end up walking pretty far in the cold and it's frustrating when I'm exhausted. You can pay an extra arm and leg if you want a designated spot on top of your rent. I also got towed last year when I had a had a sticker on my vehicle (they said I put it on wrong and it wasn't visible) the tow was expensive and axis didn't help. On the bright side if you have kids they have a lot of fun activities for them, and the pool is really nice (although it never seems to be cleaned often enough). I don't know if I will be renewing my rent with this frustrating parking situation. read more

I have lived here for many many years and I want to point out some positive things about living here, because it is very easy to just post the downside living at any apartment complex. The new management team has tried to turn this place around. I can honestly say this, because I have experienced bad/horrible management from the different ones in the past with living here. If I have an issue with my apartment or neighbors, they are quick to try to fix the issue. The front office staff and maintenance are easy to talk to, friendly and they seem to actually care about the tenants. I hope things continue to stay this way, because I haven't had any major issues with them so far. I love the space of my place. I know these buildings aren't brand new and will have maintenance issues from time to time, but compared to other apartments in the area, it seems to be more affordable than others for the size. At least the model I'm in. So far I have been blessed with decent neighbors in my building and they are friendly. I hope as long as I continue to live here, whatever issues I encounter, that it will only continue to improve. read more

not a luxury apartment complex. Hallways stink like food. No ventilation. If it snows be prepared to salt the entrance to the building yourself because they drag their feet. Management is very unapproachable and good for nothing. Apartment size is 850 sq ft yet the ac unit inside is rated for 450 sq ft therefore the summers are unbearable if temps go above 85. Laundry is shared and most of the times 1 of the machines are down or you have to cycle it thru twice it has been like that for 3 years nobody is fixing it yet they increased their laundry prices.Unorganized asks you for multiple things that you have already provided to them . if you can get past these things then you will be ok. read more

I thought the apartments online were amazing which pushed me to come for a tour earlier this morning. As I was at my tour With Christi there was an tenet who came in for a meeting at the exact time we were scheduled for our tour. Unfortunately i was very disappointed with Christi, the leasing agent because she was not kind to the tenet. Christi was extremely unorganized. As well as raising her voice to the tenet telling her she could not help even though she told her to come in at the same time we were supposed to have our tour.. I do not recommend these apartments because the staff are extremely rude (Christi). I will not be back. The management needs to be fixed. I urge management to really take a look into who they are hiring. read more

Do Not Waste your time!!!!! Scheduled an appointment with Adam to view complex 3 days prior. Arrived on time, Adam was sitting in office as I waited, Kristie was gossiping with a resident in my presence (unprofessional), never acknowledged my appointment. After about 15min of waiting, she proceeds to take the conversation outside. Keep in mind, Adam has not acknowledged my appointment. I wait patiently for another 20min, suddenly Kristie returns, she's aloof, in a hurry, states she can only show 1 unit (she doesn't have a golf cart available). This complex is not inviting nor the staff in the leasing office. The apartments are rehabbed motel rooms, the hallways are dark, damp, and have a stale musty odor. read more

In June 2019, it will be one year here at Axis, and we still love it. New management arrived around the new year and I feel they are doing GREAT. Whenever I have had any issue or problem, they have been quick to address and resolve it. I recently had a problem with my A/C. The maintenance man was very friendly, professional, and fast. He followed up with me to ensure all was good and let me know that if I ever had any emergency issues after hours, maintenance is on call to help. I am truly thankful for the care our new management has for us. Thank You! read more

The management is an absolute joke, I'm wondering as to why they have someone in the office representing them who does not care about the tenants. I have lived in axis apartments for 2 years now, and for the last two years I have hated every aspect of this place. I had appointment with Christi today which was at 4. I waited until 5:30 to be seen. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. We had a meeting about a leak in my apartment which I have had since I have moved in it has been "fixed" every month for the past two years so when I asked for a brand new dishwasher I was told I would have move Into a fully renovated apartments and my rent would be raised. This would have been resolved within seconds if she would of answered the phone when I called. When I call every-time no one answers. I find these apartments as well as the staff extremely unreliable. The only time I have great service is when Jessica/adam is working, they are always on time and answer my questions with no hesitations. read more

-5 Stars. Been living here 2 months - worst mistake ever. Apartments are labeled as "luxury" and they are sloppy. Public halls and areas are hardly ever cleaned - soiled carpets, chipped painting, horrible smells daily. No ventilation so it's constant odor. Neighbors blast music all hours of the day - thin walls and ceiling - can hear general talking. Don't be fooled by "new management" - they could care less. Every interaction I've had they come across as we are a bother to them. Shared laundry - rooms are horrible. Every other day there is dirt and trash in the machines - again, public areas rarely cleaned. Building exterior doors lock every other day. Several requests to mgmt to fix but they haven't. AC units in building (only living room and bedroom) are probably as old as the buildings. Bathrooms are super small - no room for anything on counter and ventilation is basically non-existent. Baseboard heat - baseboards, including heat portions are painted over, seemingly every time the unit is rented. Painting in unit and public areas is crap at best - a child could do better, drips along walls, baseboards, ceilings, etc. Newly renovated kitchen equals same cabinetry with only new plywood cabinet doors that are crooked. If you're looking at this complex because you think where you live now is the dumps, take a look at these and you'll feel like you're 'dump' is a castle. Also, did i mention bugs....ants, beetles, roaches, etc - but you're charged a monthly pest fee as part of rent. Look them up on Yelp for pictures. The management in this apartment complex is a joke. Nobody cares and there is no sense of ownership or customer/tenant service, which is a shame because the property otherwise is good and the prices are generally fair. They don't seem to care about tenants they only care about making money. I had a loaner car from a dealership that got towed because It didn't have a sticker on it-well my previous car was totaled and I didn't have access to get the sticker from the car. I was given the loaner car and on Saturday at 6PM long after the office is closed and there is no after hours person from the management office on call so I couldn't call the car in. Within hours the loaner car was towed. Left a voicemail for management nobody got back to me. Called back again two days later was told it was my fault and when I requested my rent to be credited for paying the tow fees the man on the line was rude and told me it was my fault and refused to help or even say 'I'm sorry that that happened to you' and have some empathy like a normal human, when I explained my situation and the fact that I wasn't comfortable parking a nice new loaner car from a dealership on the street and couldn't call the rental office to inform them of my situation and that I had been in a car accident because there was nobody there to answer my call. Wouldn't recommend living here. read more
