I lived at tgm willowbrook apartments for five years and loved living there. The location is right off of kingery highway but it isn't loud and you don't hear a lot of highway noises. I love how there is so much open yard space and trees by every apartment. There is even a park nextdoor with a walking path, fishing pond with fountain, and playground. Pets are allowed so you will often see neighbors walking their dogs. They have lots of different types of apartments but I lived first in a one bedroom and then switched to a two bedroom- both had gas stoves and remodeled/great quality kitchen. The shelves and everything were sturdy and things rarely broke. If something did break or not work I could call maintenance and they were so nice and usually there by the next day. The only problems I ever had were a few times in the spring I got ants in the kitchen and you have to wait til wednesday when their exterminator can come but if you ask in the mean time they will drop off traps. Also it's coin laundry in each building ($1.25 load), and sometimes those machines broke but if they did you call the number on the machine- they do take a few days to come but if you ask they will refund the money you wasted on that load and you can ask tgm for a temp key for the day for other buildings to use their laundry (you just give them an id while you have the key). Tgm uses comcast or at&t I believe and allow dishes but it depends on if they can put it in certain locations by your specific apartment. The walls are white or this light brown color that I'm not a fan of (you can paint but must paint it back before move out) and there is a light brown carpet. The carpet is like any apartment complex, kind of cheap- but every year only if you ask, you can request a free carpet cleaning when you sign your new lease. They have a 24hr gym that is spacious and not often too busy. There is a trainer Tim that works there that is amazing! They have a two tennis courts that are kept somewhat in good condition. There are gated areas to let dogs run free around the complex and tons of free poop pickup bag stands. They have two pools- one is right by the gym but it is very very very tiny. The other larger one is by the clubhouse and is a decent size and only a few times in the summer will you have trouble getting a lawnchair spot. The clubhouse has key fob entrance (just like gym and pool) and you can bring however many guests you want. The clubhouse and gym have free wifi. The clubhouse sometimes has your packages to sign out or the driver may just leave them in your mailroom by your apt, but I've never had anything stolen. The clubhouse has nice mac computers but you can only access them at certain times and I often had problems with them- I couldn't login, I couldn't print (no ink or paper), a mouse was missing, etc. if you ask sometimes they can fix the problem. The staff are hit or miss- some are super friendly and helpful, others are flat out mean/rude and act annoyed if you ask any question. You just learn who to go to for assistance. When we resigned our lease or moved out we never had any issues. We even got some of our deposit back. Parking is free for you and guests and there are always spots available. You can grill if you keep the grill a good distance from your patio. Your bills are nicor gas, aum, commed, your internet/cable, and rent only. The train station is about two miles away in clarendon hills which is a cute little town with nice restaurants and things to walk to in the summer. There is a jewel within walking distance as well just a few blocks away. Tgm is great about plowing and salting in the winter. There are large outside dumpsters for trash close to every apartment. I honestly loved living here. We only moved because of a nearby plant that the news shared was putting out extra pollutants and chemicals in the air, but I heard it recently closed. I would definitely recommend Tgm to friends and family. read more

You're looking at about 2,000 for a one bedroom one bath with W/D (around 800sqft) and about 2,700 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath with W/D (abt 1,100 sqft). The high prices are because of the area and supposed amenities. For the location near grocery stores, the hwy, and the train on top of the amenities it makes sense, but to be honest it not worth it for the money anymore. Amenities are not maintained well and/or have very restrictive hours. The apartments are not well insulated so your utilities are typically really high no matter the season. The increasing amount of prohibited items on patios is getting out of hand. No rugs (even outdoor ones I guess), lights, bikes, storage items, drapes, or grills are allowed on your patio. You are however allowed to grill if you are 100ft away from the building. For 2,700 a month the inability to decorate your patio or store your bike out there(because the storage included with most patios is no where near big enough) is very disappointing. They put in communal grills to make up for the change of no longer allowing grills on patios, but theyre only close to the leasing office, so you'll have to walk a ways to get to one. They try to offset many downsides with outdoor movies and free donut day every once in a while. In regards to amenities: Gym is 24/7 and equipment is fine, but I really don't thinking its cleaned very well. Every time I go there is hair and dust all over the floor, which is disgusting because they have an area with yoga mats where you are very close to the ground doing your work out. The bathroom in the gym is connected to the pool and its not well maintained either, everything in there is falling apart. Pool next to the gym should be heated when weather drops below a certain temp, however it's not. The main pool was "down for maintenance" the first day it was advertised to be open for the season. They gave no notice other than a small sign taped on the gate. It was down for a while, which is interesting since they had plenty of time prior to it opening for the season for things to get fixed, as the weather had been good for a bit over a month. Sand volleyball area is not maintained at all. There is always goose poop, garbage, or other stuff in there that makes it unusable. There is a dog park that is again not maintained. There are tons patches where there is no grass just dirt, so when its slightly damp out your dog will be a muddy mess. There is supposed to be two tennis courts but one is always locked. Feels like the movie theater is just for show. You really can only use it on the weekends because it's only open during business hours and trying to get a hold of people in the leasing office to make an appointment is next to impossible, I suppose if you email them or go in person you might have better luck. read more

Worst management EVER, don't ever think to move here, they don't care about tenants at all, they are rude, not answering the phone, if you send a email wait for replay next year , when you file a request for something (always was for something), they will come maybe or in the next few days, all appliances are older then me (more then 50y) they force us to buy our own dishwasher, I was left without AC more than 10 days in end of April and excuse was that outside must be more than 68 f and it was 78f !!!! There is many many more ....We must contacted their main office in New York because it was not possible to deal with this management here ... Happy to move out finally and I will make sure everyone know about unpleasant living here !! read more

The shower pool is only held up by paint, they don't do anything about loud neighbors or the the ones who smoke heavily and it gets into the apartments. Some of the maintenance people are rude. I don't recommend this place to rent or buy. Also it's super expensive to live here. read more

Given options in surrounding areas, TGM willowbrook is probably your best bet. I enjoyed making this my home for 2 years, but with a $100 increase in rent, (when I pay on time, Everytime) is a bummer. However, understandable with the market. I did find nicer places for what my rent was going to cost... Maintenance is very friendly and usually responsive. Some ladies in the leasing office seem rude, almost as if you're bothering them. I love Ieva though! The buildings and surroundings have been getting SUPER filthy. It was not like that before. They NEVER wash the outside windows of each complex and the door outside looks like someone vomited on them. Please clean the hallways and outside of the building better. There has been some spores of mold or mildew seeping in that I have reported multiple times, yet it's still there. So gross! It is a bit dirty, when I moved in it looked like there was s**t caked up in the corners of the floor. Decent, but find elsewhere now for price. It used to be way better for the price. read more

I have been living in the TGM Willowbrook for 6 years . I love the area , the schools and the location . The Apartments are not perfect with kind of old windows and mild working AC .. but in totally it is ok ! I love TGM ! I was ok with rent raise . I was ok with the long wait to fix basic things like oven , dishwasher.. I was ok that I have to call more than once to be helped .. as there are a lot more "urgent " requests have to be helped before mine !! But I am not ok and I will never be ok to be disrespected by a leasing center employee!! So What made me write this review is my last incident.. I came back home to find all my patio and the furniture covered with white dust because they were renovating the apartment above ours . It took me long time to clean and wash everything.. but I had to wake up to the same thing next morning and it is going on till the moment I am writing this review ! I called the leasing center.. for two day in a raw ., in my last call a " gentleman"answered me and told me they can't help me with this and I have to wait till all the dust will be cleaned up "naturally " from the apartment above me on my patio !!!!!! and they have nobody to help me with this !! I told him so they raise the rent 300 $ per month but in return can't provide a good service to the residents .. and he simply HANG UP!!! the phone call !!! I am glad that this call supposed to be monitored.. because I think this is Unrespectful and unprofessional to treat your clients this way .. So now my kids and me have to breathe this dust till it ends up naturally!!!! I read the latest reviews and a lot of people are complaining about the employees in the leasing center.. I have to mention that the maintenance guys are very nice and helpful always especially Chris! When I went on a tour with my boyfriend and 2 year old daughter the lady was all friendly saying it's okay my daughter was loud, she understood cause she had children. My boyfriend signed the lease and at the time with my new job I didn't have check stubs. She was fine with only him being on the lease as well and aware that me and my daughter would be living there. However when I took my daughter to watch a movie in the community theater that they advertised as a place where "you can just pop in whenever and watch a movie" , that lady wasn't working in the adjacent office any more and the ladies who were there aren't tolerant of toddlers at all. They advertise that they have a theatre with Encanto showing and I thought that going to the theatre on snowy winter nights would be a good activity to do with my daughter so we can stay home and have entertainment when the roads are bad. We signed the lease in November but by December apparently the projector was broken. They didnt have the projector repaired until about July. So 7 months into a 12 month lease we finally get the amenity. When I finally get a chance to take my toddler to watch a movie, they come telling me that "she too loud" "if she doesn't quiet down we will have to leave" cause "that's an office area where they work" and she thought "I was hurting my daughter" because my daughter is making noise and being a kid doing what kids do, in what I thought was a community rec center, that's how they advertise when they want folks to sign a 12 month lease paying $2,000 a month they are good with kids and it's a rec center, sign the lease and give em some money, story changes you must be quiet it's an office. If you don't quiet some you must leave. Oh and order to see a movie you need to set an appointment like 24 hours in advance and can't be in the theatre after like 6pm and she was "doing me a favor" by playing me a movie without an appointment. So there's no weekend movies or evening movies with your family, it has to be done within their office hours and you just keep the volume to a minimum cause they're a few feet away and don't want to hear you or your kids. Meanwhile every time I would walk by, they got on HGTV for themselves so they can have the background noise of the shows they like. But I never once saw them play encanto. So I went to complain to the manager. Next thing we know, we're getting a slip on the door, a violation cause we were noisy and not on the lease. It's crazy how they don't care about people, and are just out to get money and screw people over basically. I left and never went back to the rec center cause I got a feeling they were going to call the police and try to get me for trespassing or something else next. I think it's a shame, once they get your money and a legal contract that you have to pay them they don't care about the family or the individual. Rent is too high. It's all a facade, half the equipment in the gym doesn't work. There's like 10 elliptical and 10 treadmills but only one or 2 of each work, so if there's one other per swim you basically have to take turns with them. Looks like it could hold a capacity of 20 something people but can only hold like 5 cause most of the electronic equipment is broken. Rude women who probably don't have kids or boyfriends and they're single and mad. read more

Only lived here a year, lived facing the highway which was actually very loud. Gym area fairly dirty, during the summer there was always sand/dirt so it was clear it was not cleaned often (weekly at most?). AC/heater issues. AC broke twice - took 2-3 weeks to fix each time. Halfway through, they provide temporary cooling unit which uses a ton of electricity. Heater broke twice in the winter. Even after COVID hit common areas for each building (stair handrails, door handles, washer/dryer) were still really dirty/dusty. Even worse prior to COVID. After leaving, charged me for broken window shades despite me marking it was broken at time of move in. 2 stars because the location and relatively safe - would recommend living nearby but not at TGM. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The apartments look good, but that's it. They charge hidden fees and they extort you when you leave. There are many issues we had, but the stand out was when our refrigerator broke. We lost hundreds of dollars of food and then they didn't fix it for over a week! You would think a refrigerator would be a high priority. They didn't even look until days after we reported it, and then the part was ordered and here we were with no options other than takeout and canned food. We left early and broke our lease for which we paid a huge sum. Then they inspect our apartment (WITHOUT US THERE) and come up with over $700 worth of charges?! They are extortionists. In the one page letter without any pictures or proof of damages they list expenses and don't even add things up correctly. They charged us for a fridge drawer. Seriously look elsewhere. read more

Current resident of 5 years. They raised rent $250 in 2022 with no upgrades/incentives so I'm paying $2k+ NOT INCLUDING UTILITES for a small 2 bedroom. The rules apply to some people and not others. They have a list of what dog breeds are not allowed (which I think is dumb) and a combined weight limit (also dumb) and I abide by these rules and yet other residents are allowed to have multiple dogs whose breeds are on the list and well over double the weight limit. I love dogs and normally wouldn't care but they complained about my dog who wouldn't hurt a fly. It is their dogs that are reactive and when I inquired at the office they told me to mind my business. When i pressed the issue she said they make certain accommodations implying they were service dogs. No way these untrained dogs are service animals so the renters must be friends or family and are therefore above the rules and allowed to make everyone else miserable. Jennifer in the office is incredibly rude. I switched apartments and they tried saying I never paid my last rent. I called 3 times before I got ahold of her and she said very snarkily to just send her the check stubs so she can do her job. If she had done her job I wouldn't have had to call 3 times to get it sorted out. The maintenance guys are super nice if a little over worked. The apartments look nice but the materials are cheap (especially the outlets and switches) the "upgrades" are sloppy and I have very little storage in my 2 bedroom. Seriously there isn't even a pantry i have to keep my dry goods in the laundry room and pots and pans in the oven. All the reviews about the poor insulation is spot on and if you complain, you're told that putting up plastic is the tenants responsibility. "Luxury" apartment living is hilarious. TGM Associates has a D- rating on better business bureau so good luck going that route. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it was owned by Jared Kushner for all they care about their tenants. And I wouldn't have left a review if they hadn't messed with my dog. read more

So glad I moved. I wish I could write a better review to compliment my other reviews but this is the final straw. The rent is extremely high and once they take your money if you need anything, forget it. I received a final bill from them and I was charged for replacing the carpet, blinds and final utilities. Which is fine but I have tried to get ahold of the business manager to get the difference from my deposit back for the last 4 days and have been blown off every single time!! There is ALWAYS an excuse!! I would highly recommend looking some where else to live. read more

Do NOT!!! move to this community. A lot of long-time residents moved out through the rent increases around the end of 2022, and the high prices have kept units vacant. To "lure" tenants, they used to offer many promotions, which indeed attracted some people. However, you will find that things that threaten your life and property will happen. For example, someone upstairs threw still-burning cigarette butts and ashes onto the grass on my balcony (my surveillance camera captured it), and I couldn't sleep all night and kept getting up to check, worried that there might be a fire!!! But the leasing office took no action to stop this behavior, even though the lease contract mentions that they will evict tenants who engage in such behavior. They only care about making money and do not care about managing the property. They just want you to move in and then fend for yourself. There are many other choices nearby - do not be deceived into renting here!!! Be careful and do not regret it!!! They cannot solve any problems!!! They do not care about the health and safety of you and your family!!! There are many options in this area!!! A gruesome experience is in front of you!!! Do not move in!!! I moved in January of 2023, as I believe it was a good deal as they get you with the move in specials. My lease is up end of January 2024 and they sent me documents to renew and you tell me how does my rent go from $1650.00 to $2300.00 per month if I want to renew otherwise I have to give 60 days notice to vacate. They are a LOT of vacant units as they would prefer it that way then to make money...its a bunch of B.S not to mention they charge you monthly for water, sewerage and garbage that runs you an extra $100 a month on top of your electric bill, gas and cable, plus washer and dryer are $2.00 bucks per load but remember you are already paying for the water bill?? This is luxury living however the leasing staff is only NICE when you come to sign the lease agreement after that they don't give a RATS arse...I have complained numerous times as they claim to be a NON smoking building but my walls are Yellow from the cigarette smoke from the tenant above. They did not do anything about it. ' see how they feel when I send my lawyer on them for my daughters aggravated asthma. Not to mention the mold by the heater I am sure cannot be good for us....oh and you also have to carry RENTERS insurance naming TGM on policy as beneficiaries................DO NOT MOVE HERE there are a lot of other units around for way cheaper rent and much nicer people..... read more

If you're scrolling and wondering if you should listen to these reviews, take this as a sign or divine intervention. This was hands down the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. Really thrilled to be out, and paying $300 more at a new apartment which is like night and day compared to TGM. It's my own fault for signing the lease after we were offered smiles and discounts at the leasing office, (which happens to be the nicest building on the complex which really says something.) From that day forward the staff was rude, unprofessional, or just unavailable 75% of the time. Not to mention the technicians and repairmen who are notoriously creepy and perverted. Our AC broke three times, and when we decided not to renew our lease due to the insane $300 price hike in rent (with no improvements to the complex or unit) they never fixed our AC. Just dropped off a giant window unit which increased our electric bill by $100. This was for a month and a half. This complex does not care about its tenants, and only cares that your rent is paid and that you stay quiet. Their bottom line is what matters. Here's what you should know before preceding any further with this place. - The pools may seem attractive but they are generally overcrowded and not taken care of. - The gym is okay for what it is. - The hallways of the units constantly smell of sewage - The doors to the buildings are rarely kept locked in a secure fashion. We had numerous solicitors knock on our apartment doors and the leasing office blamed the tenants - You will pay all the bills. Including waste. TGM covers nothing. Expect at least an extra 200-300 in bills. - The leasing office manager Jennifer hall seems unhinged or in need of psychiatric medical intervention. She's been nothing but rude to the tenants or downright belligerent in some cases. TGM would do well to replace her role with someone who wants to provide a good experience, especially if they want to fill all that vacant space - Snow removal was very good and timely. About the only thing I can give them credit for. - Leasing office is rarely open and they keep it locked even when people are there. I get the impression they are hiding from their tenants. Came by to pay rent one time and was hit with "what?" When I knocked on the door. - AC is not reliable at all. A ton of units lost their AC once things warmed up, so it's luck of the draw whether you will too. - When you move out, they will nickel and dime you. You better have the apartment spotless. hired a crew of people to clean the place and still didn't get our deposit. - Carpet is disgusting, so if you have allergies please avoid this place. At the end of the day it's your choice. But this place is nowhere near "luxury" especially for being in the affluent area it's in. If you want to overpay at the dumpiest complex in Willowbrook, go ahead but there are much better options. read more

I wanted to wait 24 hours to calm down before I wrote this review. I have/had been a resident of TGM for almost a year and a half. I wish I had read the reviews prior and trusted in them. To sum it up: My fiance and I found out we were expecting and in order to cut down on expenses, I decided to move out (end my lease early) and move in with him. I'm now 5 months pregnant and have no time for BS, however the office manager, Jennifer Hall, was not going to let that happen. I called 30 days before I was going to move out and indicated that I was going to move out. The person that I spoke to (I wish I remember their name, but I don't), said that I was good to go and to just turn my keys in when I vacated the property. Well, October 5th came around (I had not paid my October rent) and I decided to call and find out how I can return my keys since I don't live in the vicinity anymore. When I called I got a young woman on the phone who said that was not their policy and that she would have their office/business manager call me back later but in the meantime I could drop my keys off in the drop box. OK. Well...a week and a half go by and Jennifer Hall FINALLY finds time to give me a call (10/16/17) in regards to my apartment. NOW, it is clearly too late to pay my rent as it is considered defaulting. She notifies me that I did not follow their policy in their lease and that whoever I spoke to was wrong. She was completely rude, not understanding, harsh, and quite frankly belittling on the phone. She stated that I am responsible for every month's rent until July 2018 even though I am no longer in possession of the apartment. She also threw out words like court, evictions, collections...you get the picture. For being 5 months pregnant, this is NOT the stress that I need right now. If you're looking to rent in this area, look elsewhere! The leasing agents are only nice to you until you lease a place then you become annoying to you and anytime you have a problem financially with your apartment where you got charged a late fee and it wasn't necessary you HAVE to deal with Jennifer, which I would NEVER recommend even to my worst enemy. read more

Lived here these past two years and I'm super satisfied. The staff are nothing but polite and attentive to your needs. We had a problem with our washer dryer combo and they replaced it with a new one within a couple of days. Whenever we call the office for a work order they quickly send maintenance staff, who are always so nice, to take care of it. The management office and amenities are wonderful, and I'd expect no less for the location of these apartments. They have two separate swimming pool areas that I take my little one to and we love them both. The equipment at the fitness center is new and nice, and it's kept clean. They have a business facility for the residents located at the leasing office that I've found ultra convenient whenever my home printer runs out of ink. Parking has never been an issue...ever. Recently while still on a current lease, we wanted to transfer units. I came to the leasing office fingers crossed to ask if they would be flexible. Anthony was not only able to accommodate my request but immediately showed me the properties that were available. We filled up applications within an hour. Not only did they accommodate me but they turned a seemingly complicated situation into a smooth transition and I cannot be more grateful. read more

First let me say Sabrina and Liz are the two most nicest leasing agents in that office. Everyone else is dismissive and rush you off the phone. I just moved in this week and I have a ant problem. Yes I spoke to my leasing agent and she put a work ordering for me but I called again on today on 12/17/23 because I saw more ants on my bedroom carpet and whomever she was, she was dismissive and did not say hold on the holding music just started playing. For the amount of money that I am paying customer service needs to be immaculate. How are you rude to your tenants but you want your rent on time! I sprayed my unit and their still ants. Even when I came to pick up my keys Renee was not the friendliness. At this point first impressions are everything and so far I am not please. Been here for 4 months. In less then 4 days I have caught 3 mouses. I have found mouse poop in my and at the bottom of my oven. I literally cannot explain the feelin of disappointment I have for this facility. Even when I called them to explain the situation they where giving me this type of attitude like they were annoyed I was calling in the first place. I caught the 1st one Friday night , 2nd Saturday night and 3rd Sunday night. They told me the exterminator will be coming on Wednesday & that's the earliest they can do. Horrible staff. Prior to moving in here, I read the bad reviews. I was in a hurry to find somewhere to live (relocated for work), so I chose to trust that the reviews were not actually indicative of the apartment and staff. I was incorrect! This is a horrible place to live! I lived here for roughly 1 year. This place acts like it is "luxury" apartment, but it is not. There was a hole in the wall of the staircase area when I moved in that had been patched over and not repainted. The wall was never fixed in the entire year that I lived there. When you move in, the people tell you that you can paint the walls any color you like. They do not mention that you will have to repaint or pay to paint it back to the normal color when you move out. This would have been good information to disclose when they tell you that you can paint. Instead, they tell you this when you go to tell them you are moving out. Very helpful of them! Especially helpful that they make you pay to paint your apartment, but they do not paint the damaged common areas! They do many similar things to nickel and dime you out of every dollar possible. Do not expect to get any of your security deposit back. The office staff is dysfunctional and unorganized. When I originally leased this apartment, they told my mother (I was moving from out of state and she was helping me) that if she came back next week the apartment would still be available. She comes in the next week and one person says it is unavailable. After further research, another office person said it is available. During this time, I also attempted to communicate with the one of the office staff members through email and phone calls multiple times and none were answered. About a month after I moved in the staff member emailed me apologizing and apparently unaware that I actually had moved in. After I moved out, I was sent a summary of my final expenses that stated that they would send me to a collection agency if I did not pay by XX/XX/XX date and the letter was dated with the same date! I was supposed to somehow read their minds and pay them before the letter was even mailed or else get sent to a collection agency. When I emailed the office about this, they corrected the mistake, but from reading other reviews it seems like typos are a VERY common mistake for them and they often do not get resolved as easily as this one. They advertise that there is a "dog run" area, but the fenced in area is extremely small and not adequate for dogs to run. I lived in an apartment on the outskirts of the property that faced a small wooded area separating the apartment complex and the nearby houses. There would often be shady looking people who came walking through the woods from the nearby houses/apartments at night. Any car is allowed to park in the parking lot which is great when I had friends come over, but there would often be trucks parked in the exact same spot in the lot for weeks at a time which was concerning to me. People who did not live in the apartments were clearly using the parking lot for their truck. The value you get for your rent each month is absolutely not worth it in my opinion. I hated living here so much that I moved out prior to the end of my 1-year lease. Also the fact that a positive review from 2014 comes up first when you search them on Yelp is hilarious! Been living here for a year now and the place is well maintained. Garbage is outside, not inside, which is good because no bugs will come inside your apartment. There are occasional spiders and other insects that you'll come across but they have pest control people that come by every Monday. Mail packages usually get delivered to your mailbox area for your building... there have been a few occasions where packages have been missing. There is a park nearby for families and restaurant and shopping nearby! Great location right by route 83. We have not moved out yet, but after reading reviews about problems with moving out, we will be cautious. Maybe get yourself a lawyer during the move out process. One major suggestion I have for management is to separate some apartments for people with animals and some without. Some dogs will just bark nonstop all day when we are trying to sleep (being night shift workers). I am giving three stars due to the rent being very high.. close to 1450 per month for a 1bedroom, 1 bathroom. It doesn't include utilities. You have to split water bill with the other people in your building and the ComEd and Nicor are separate bills. You can probably pay a mortgage for a house with that money. read more

We haven't even moved in yet and I'm already regretting picking this place. We signed our lease days ago and just get a call that they want to push our move in date back by a full week! But we need to be out of our current place before then. They offered to move it up a few days but it is still a huge inconvenience! We have specific days picked for move in as I work in a school and don't have weekdays off and it completely through all that off. We have to reschedule for a charge all our moving stuff and now we have less then 24 hours to move into the new apartment and out of the the old apartment and deep clean it. They claim there is nothing legally binding in our lease, yet if I tried to break the lease early I promise there would be a fee to pay. We just want it to be acknowledged that they are causing us a big inconvenience and stress and have some compensation and sympathy. read more

Terrible place to live. They will turn off your hot/cold water to force payment of trivial revenue streams. They only want your money and if you start asking questions about their failure to adhere to their own written contract verbiage. Finally when you move they will wait 4 months and without warning, attack your credit by sending the 3 credit companies false debts claiming you owe them (as they did to me). I still await a call back from TGM about my 1750$ security deposit check they have failed to return and answers to why they think I owe additional monies. Run from this location!! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. The apartment community is extremely poor! In 2022, as many people mentioned, they raised the rent excessively, causing lots of long-term residents to move out, but because the price was too high, not many people moved in during the last year 2022. The apartment tried to attract customers by offering free rent for a few months, but this has brought many problems. For example, you got a high probability that the neighbors around you do not follow the apartment's policies. As many old residents mentioned those problems you will encounter. Such as 1. TGM will raise the rent dramatically with no reason after your first leasing; 2. Some neighbors casually throw cigarette butts (even though the apartment claims to be non-smoking but it's obviously just for show); 3. Some of your neighbors are blowing the music out of the water (Google Reviews can't upload videos) and it's affecting your life; 4. People will park in handicapped spaces even if they don't have a special parking permit sign; 5. Some people will throw lit cigarette butts into the dump which can cause fire hazards; and so on... Do you really want to be bothered by this noise every day? And other disgusting things? I can only describe this apartment as dirty, messy, and terrible. I would say living here you will suffer from lots of problems. Before you decide to move in, read the reviews before you make a careful decision! read more

Cons: Extremely overpriced - $1230 a month for 700 sqft (no washer and dryer have to pay with coins) You pay for everything, nothing is included Terrible apartments (not even close to "premium") Hallways are disgusting there is different colored paint Impossible to get the maintenance guys to come out. My ice cube machine didn't work for months and still doesn't The UPS guy will often drop stuff in other apartment buildings and the office won't get it for you Overall an absolute awful experience and not worth your money. You're going to regret it. The location isn't all that great, not sure why people keep saying that. Absolutely nothing is close, 83 is a nightmare and almost always packed. read more

I wanted to thank the wonderful leasing/management staff at TGM! I have been a resident since 2014 and I never want to leave. No matter how busy the staff is or if they are about to close I'm always taken care of! Right now I'm in the hospital my son called yesterday as said the air was out i was in a panic! Michelle calmed me down instantly she knew who i was and said "are you ok?" Then told me to focus on getting better and not to worry. Michelle's next question was is your son at home and immediately sprung into action with only 30 min till close and many work orders. Within 30 min all was resolved. Michelle was fast efficient and calming and took care of everything working with the wonderful maintenance staff! My mind is at rest although I'm in the hospital. This is what sets TGM Willowbrook apart and above other leasing offices. The make a personalised human connection. Thanks Michelle for all you do for us residents at TGM Willowbrook. Also another special mention to Jennifer! Always available and when contacted gets right back to me with options and solutions. Even when I'm in panic mode Jennifer is always courteous professional and kind and is such a helpful person. I have now moved out and only have positive experiences and opinions of TGM. Move out was super easy, NOTHING was taken off my security deposit tho all I did was clean and kept pushing back move out date. I received my check back in the same amount of time they told me. I love TGM! The apartments are nice and cozy and they are great with taking care of their residents! Lets not forget all the great amenities! The gym is my favorite - out of all the other apartments I have researched and looked at TGM has one of the best gyms I have seen due to it's larger size and wide variety of equipment and is 24 hours! read more

I moved out of TGM 9 months ago. I've been waiting to write my review until I've calmed down a bit. If I had written my review upon moving out it would have been a string of expletives. First of all, DO NOT MOVE HERE, DO NOT LIVE HERE, DO NOT LET YOUR WORST ENEMY LIVE HERE. The place is absolutely infested with ants. Everywhere. Ants in bed, ants in the sink, ants crawling on the couch, ants in my kid's sippee cup. Everywhere. BITING FIRE ANTS. At first we tried putting out ant traps. That worked temporarily. Then we called the office. They came and sprayed. The ants got worse. We called and told them the ants were worse. They said they can't spray again so we put out more traps. The ants persisted. I was pissed because I had a two year old son and didn't want to live in a house full of chemicals and ants. Next: This place is SO EXPENSIVE. Right now I am renting a 4 bedroom house for LESS than I paid to live at TGM. Next: You have to give 60 days notice before you move out, even if you do not plan to renew your lease. A few months before our lease was up they left us a friendly reminder note saying that we had 60 days to notify. So we notified them. Then they called and said we didn't give them enough notice. They said that THEY made a typo and that due to THEIR typo - OOPS! - we actually didn't notify them in time and that we were going to have to pay for an entire additional month's rent - $1600 - after we moved out. Clearly their fault but they didn't care. I went to the office to try and explain the situation to the manager figuring that maybe she might be an actual human person and be understanding of THEIR mistake. She wanted nothing to do with me and just kept telling me she'd send me to collections and that my credit was about to be ruined. I told her there was no way I was paying an extra $1600 for an ant infested apartment that I wasn't living in due to THEIR typo. They couldn't care less. So I moved out January 31st. Sometime in February they sent me to collections for not paying February rent EVEN THOUGH I MOVED OUT ON JANUARY 31. They sent me to collections for $1600. I'm still completely in shock at the shittiness of this entire situation and robot-like nature of the management. read more

I had a fairly positive view of TGM prior to moving out, even wrote a 3 star review; however the handling of our move out was, in my opinion, unprofessional and disrespectful. When we turned in our intent to not renew our lease, we provided the TGM staff with our forwarding address. We understood that it took about 45 days to process the return of our security deposit. 6 weeks came and went and we hadn't heard anything so we gave them a call. The office staff informed us that they had sent out a bill - to our apartment (SERIOUSLY, WE MOVED OUT) and it had been returned (SHOCKER) so we could come pick it up. We did, and saw there was a balance of $720, so they would be keeping our $500 security deposit, and we owed an additional $220 that coincidentally was due within a week, or would be promptly sent to collections. Real nice, huh? My main issue (asides not attempting to contact us, and just moving forward to collections) is that they did not include any proof of why we were incurring charges. I think it is a basic courtesy to include pictures to show why I am being charged to replace carpet. I called TGM and was directed to Jennifer. I'm guessing she deals with many of these calls because her immediate tone was rude and defensive. Fine. The way I am looking at it, I just paid $20,000 to live here for one year, you can humor me with a semi-pleasant explanation. Or not. I spent about 8 minutes explaining to her that I would like to see photos to prove that we had caused enough damage to warrant replacing the carpet. She snapped that when they were pulling up the carpet, they found stains on the padding, so that justified it. Sorry, but it doesn't sit well with me that you are pulling up carpet in order to find any damage. Meaning it looked fine, they did not mention that there was an odor, apparently it is part of their process, to check under the carpet. I asked multiple times to see photos, etc. She just kept telling me that I had no choice but to pay because that's their judgement. Literally, after 10 minutes, she offered to show us photos. Great. Honestly, that's what i wanted, to feel some sort of proof that I was not being fleeced to pay for new carpet, when I'm guessing depreciation of assets is figured into my already exorbitant rent. My husband went into the office to review the photos, he texted me that Jennifer was potentially the rudest person he had ever met, not a total surprise, He let me know there were stains on the bottom of the carpet, but that there was no note of visible damage or odors. Sorry, but I still feel charging us is unjustified. I like to think I can be objective, for instance they charged us $80 for cleaning the oven, which admittedly I forgot to clean, no problem. But it just does not sit well with me that we are paying to replace carpet that was in fine condition, especially after paying $1620/month for a basic apartment. Honestly, the money bothers me, but the lack of professionalism and respect bothers me more. I am about to be sent into collections for something I feel is unjustified, and because the office staff could not be bothered to find our correct forwarding address to send the bill to provide us ample time to pay. Perhaps Jennifer should take a bit of time and put herself in a tenants shoes, someone who is paying top dollar to live on your property, makes up TGM's revenue, and therefore provides your paycheck deserves a basic amount of respect and consideration. If you can't bear to have a civil, objective call with people who have legitimate concerns about why they are being charged hundreds of dollars, and subsequently threatened with collections, then you are in clearly in the wrong job. read more

Worst apartment ever. Not worth the money at all. They have "saftey hazard" lights all around. three pointing at my room other than the other 3 pointing my balcony which is connected to my room so basically I have all light going to my room. Which is not letting me sleep. I have tried everything nothing is working as there is lights coming in from each way. I have contacted them to fix the issue and they basically said they won't do anything because it's "saftey hazard" how come these saftey hazard were never there the past 5 years of me living here. Also we need THREE saftey hazard in one location? If they truly wanted to help me they could've atleast shut down one of the three that is pointing right through my room like a sun at night. Last time I checked this is a residential area, not commercial. Never ever live in these apartments. It's really crazy to me that I can't sleep in my own comfort of my home because of them not doing what I'm asking and paying for. read more
