Lamentablemente en dos ocasiones he ido a comer a este lugar y el establecimiento sin aire acondicionado. Afuera con una temperatura de más de 100 grados. ¿Quién va a querer comer en un restaurante donde te asas junto con el pollo? Antes de ordenar pregunté "¿hay Ac?" La señora con una seguridad "sí hay". Ordené y pagué la comida y voy a las mesas y un calorón horrible. Miro la ventilación , por donde sale el aire y estaban repletas de polvo, horriblemente llenas de polvo, solo se veía el polvo gris y ningún movimiento de aire del AC. El polvo no se movía. Pedí la devolución del dinero. En un restaurante hay tres cosas muy importantes que tiene que cumplir: LIMPIEZA, BUENA COMIDA Y BUEN SERVICIO AL CLIENTE. Parte del buen servicio al cliente es un restaurante con AC funcionando en donde las temperaturas afuera rebasan los 100 grados Fahrenheit. I ordered and paid for the food and I go to the tables and a horrible heat. I look at the ventilation, where the air comes out and they were full of dust, horribly full of dust, you could only see the gray dust and no air movement of the AC. The dust didn't move. I asked for a refund. In a restaurant there are three very important things that you have to fulfill: CLEANING, GOOD FOOD AND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Normally, I would not ever write a bad review for a restaurant unless I had a very bad experience. Which I consider this a very bad experience ! We have been ordering food for takeout from this restaurant for over a year at least every two weeks. We always order the half a chicken and the pork ribs. The chicken has never disappointed us. The last couple of times the pork ribs have been pretty dry and I have not complained. Last night I picked up the pork ribs as soon as I opened the box and I noticed the ribs were burned, not only burned but dry. I immediately called. The girl that answered said I needed to return them so they can see. I told her I live 25 minutes away. Can I send you a picture. She gave me a phone number which I sent the picture immediately. She never responded. I immediately called the restaurant back to ask what the outcome was. No one answered. I literally called five times and they did not answer, me clearly they could see my name on the screen. That was very unprofessional. I called back this morning, and I spoke to a girl that was not working there last night and in all fairness to her I did jump all over her before she did tell me that she wasn't working last night, but that she would find out what happened. I called her back. She said I need the receipt and I need the ribs back. I said I can't believe this. What are you going to re sell the ribs to someone else because I think that's what you did to me? I said I don't have the receipt but the girl last night found my order and was very aware of it. She began to yell at me telling me that I was raising my voice and that I was not respecting her. Like I said it was not her fault but the answer that she gave me that she needed me to bring the ribs back so that they could see them when I clearly sent a photo showing them. I told her I was not going to return the ribs so that she can resell them to someone else. At this point, I don't trust them. Where does customer service come first at this restaurant. All I wanted was them to give me credit for future ribs, but even if I had accepted that which they were not willing to do, unless I showed them a receipt and brought the ribs back. They probably would have spit on it. After really liking this restaurant for their chicken and the ribs prior to this I will not be returning. I have attached a picture of what the ribs look like. They were burned on both sides, charred and salty and very dry. So disappointing.!! read more

El Pollo Loco is across the street half the cost and twice as better. Unfortunately, very few quality restaurants for Palmdale visitors- the locals have no choice. I spent close to $100 and had to throw away a steak due to its high fatty content. We ordered a whole chicken that looked like a Cornish hen - most of the pieces were dry. Love this place! The best fire grilled chicken in the area. The plates come with black or pinto beans, roasted jalapeño, rice and tortillas. It's a lot of food great for lunch then second lunch lol. On the older side of town off Palmdale blvd. Many years ago it used to be ihop. Indoor tables and waiting area with bench seats by the entrance. Order over the phone for pick up to avoid the wait. Got the 1/2 chicken combo. Came with about two breasts, a drumstick, and a wing. It also had a side of rice and beans, a couple of small tortillas, as well as a jalapeno and a small cup of green salsa. Came out to $15 plus tax. Was worth it to me. Chicken had great texture, slightly salty (not a problem for me, maybe for others), charred well, and was tender. Would have preferred more salsa but no worries. The takeout was packaged well, food was still hot after a fifteen minute drive. Service was pretty fast and the interior was quite busy from the Sunday post-church rush. Overall would recommend. I was up in Palmdale for business and saw this place in passing to the destination. Of course it was an easy decision for lunch. This one has the nicest (largest too) indoor seating; second is the Van Nuys original. Gosh I always get the family meal but since I knew I was taking that back for dinner I tried something different "light"-cuban club sandwich. It was great and hit the spot. I ate half and took the rest for dinner. I needed something sweet to end so I got the pineapple pastry (instead of guava roll) just out of curiosity and it was good. The menu is simple and offers a variety of choices. I opted for their 1/2 chicken non combo. After tax and tip I paid $12. Considering the area I think it's a little pricey with no sides or a drink. I like to keep my lunch under $10 with a side and or drink. The chicken is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Very juicy and tasty. They grill outside so you know it's fresh. I'm not sure I'll return. I can go across the street to pollo loco and get a 2 piece meal with sides and a drink for under $9. This was my first of what will be many visits. Today's order had to be what appears to be their specialty - the grilled/smoked 1/2 chicken combo which comes with black or pinto beans and yellow rice all for $13.99. First, the drumstick. Skin on, moist dark meat with a wonderfully mild, not at all too strong smokey flavor. The smoke is there but it doesn't overpower the meat. PERFECT. Next the breast. Skin on, solid 7.8 - 8.2 in juiciness, excellent texture, same smoke and that wonderful flavor you expect from the white meat breast. This was a delight to eat. It also came with a wing and a thigh, which I'm saving for a late night snack. This 1/2 chicken isn't a giant bird. The breasts you see in the supermaekets are nearly double the size. So this 1/2 bird fit cozily in an 8 inch by 8 inch container. A grilled pepper is included. What I appreciated was the chicken was covered inside the container which seemed to retain the heat and moisture for the ride home. Nice touch! One thing that positions a restaurant for long term success is a menu that offers enough variety so as not to bore the customer. The menu here is extensive!! Its big. I always like to take a shot at something that isn't an obvious specialty item, so I also orderd the Asada sandwich $13.49. This sandwich will cure anyone's hunger standing in at 12 inches. The perfect sandwich has the appropriate amout of fixings for the amount of bread. These folks totally nailed it. On what I assune is a ln Italian roll, might be french as I am not a bread expert, you are given a good amount of asada, cooked onions, and lettuce. This flavorful monster was a wonderful surprise. In a world that is seemingly short on hot sandwiches, this one is a standout. I greedily ate half without hesitation and kept the other half for tomorrow's lunch! I also ordered onion rings $5.99 and was happy with the large portion provided. They are a good standard battered onion ring and not extreamly crunchy. If you like a good safe large portion of this style of onion ring, you won't be disappointed. All in all, I am very happy and inspired to return! read more
