First off, the hash browns are really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love hash browns and this one did not disappoint. I got a breakfast combo with eggs, avocado, ham and cinnamon French toast with strawberries and bananas. I thought the ham was going to be Canadian bacon but it was a big piece of ham. I didn't like the ham, but everything else was delicious. Their cinnamon French toast is made in like a cinnamon roll which was really good! The banana French toast was also a hit! Fluffy and sweet deliciousness! I forgot to take a picture, but we also got the pancakes with a side of strawberries and Nutella. All the food was homestyle comfort food that was simply delicious! A gem off of Sierra HWY in Lancaster, CA in a very inconspicuous building is the Morning Griddle Cafe. As you walk in you are greeted by a very friendly staff, the entry way also leads you to the bar top seating area facing the kitchen. Within the main building you will find many booths and table options, they have many interesting art pieces and decor. It's a classic diner atmosphere with friendly staff. The food options are many, from Mexican classics, Burgers, Sandwiches and many other options. The meals are all made to your liking without any pushback around extra costs. The food quality was very high, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, they were very authentic with a tomato sauce and sauteed onions and peppers, not spicy but I did ask for their home salsa and it brought up the spice level, the dish is served with homemade rice and beans, all well cooked. I also ordered a side of pancakes and bacon for my dad and they were perfectly cooked. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and worth the visit. The food and service was so good that I had to come back again today. Today my friendly and helpful server arrived at our table quickly to take a drink order which was delivered within minutes. Then came back a few minutes later to take the food order. I had the Eggs and Ham. Hash browns were extra crispy and the ham was flavorful and not too salty to taste. I'd definitely order them again. As always a pleasure coming here to have breakfast at the morning griddle. Stephanie is always so sweet and kind to us and the crew is always so welcoming. We love coming here atleast once a week . My hubby always orders the menudo, and I always order different items. I've had almost all of the menu but still have more to try. I had their fish taco platter and it was the bomb. Loved the flavors and the spicy green salsa on the side gave it a nice touch. I also recently had their birria chilaquiles and it was so flavorful. Love their cow decor, my daughter loves it . Was up to see the poppies, and found this place on yelp that was on the way home. We drive right past it because it's in an area that looks more industrial, like right by an autobody shop. You walk in and you feel like you're a guest in someone's home. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and helpful. It's not very big inside, but you can watch them move tables around to try to accommodate as many people as they can. The portions were very generous. We got the burritos and the chiliquilles. This restaurant was such a great find! We decided to find a brunch spot after visiting the Poppy Field Reserve and the Yelp review of 5-stars was on point! My friends both got breakfast burritos and our server was happy to do some modifications for them. I asked what the menu favorite was and she recommended the chilaquiles. I was stoked because that a favorite dish of mine. The best parts about their chilaquiles is you can get 1, 2, or all 3 of the sauces - red, green, and mole. Of course, I went for all three. OK, I've had LOTS of chilaquiles in my lifetime, but these were the best. It was served promptly so the chips were still crunchy. The three sauces were all amazing but the mole was some of the best I've ever had. Not overly thick and seasoned just right. I was in food heaven. The pic tells you everything else you need to know! It's a quaint little cafe with several tables and a small counter. Service was friendly and efficient. We went in late morning on Sunday and were seated promptly. So this is my go to for brunch. They have a full menu and personally my favorite is the tuna melt. I order it with seasoned fries and with a side of their homemade hot sauce. But warning it is very hot and I love it. If you're into spicy caliente I highly recommend it. They do have medium as well. I've become somewhat of a regular and I'm here at least once a week. They open daily from 6am to 2pm. The Morning Griddle shares their parking lot with The Tire Store and there is plenty of parking. I highly recommend The Morning Griddle. Stopped by before work since I've been craving hash browns. And I ordered it to go along with a vegetarian breakfast burrito for my coworker. I think it was the manager? He was so kind..he offered all kinds of veggies to be added to the burrito to make it filling. My coworker said it was one of the best burritos she's had in the AV! I finally got to try this place this morning! My brother's girlfriend (who doesn't live in the AV) send me a social media post on this place. So I have been wanting to try it for a bit. And must say, my husband and I loved it! All of it tasted fresh. Portions are big in my opinion. Everything was so good. Not just the food. Service was great. We did come in during the week, and wasn't crowded. Looks like they consistently have pick up orders and regular customers though. Definitely will come back to try something else. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming, we were seated pretty quickly and they took our order 5 min after we were seated. We ordered some French toast and menudo. Worst experience ever! Weekends, the wait is over an hour. Once we finally got seated the waitress completely forgot to bring our coffee and hot tea and never came back to check on us. We finally got served pork chop, and eggs. The pork chop was so tough, It was inedible. I ordered a poached egg. It tasted like butter flavored margarine, and the yolk was already broken. The food smelled weird and is low quality trash .A friend got a Montecristo sandwich, she said it just tasted like a bologna sandwich. They said they had homemade peach cobbler, so we decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. It was basically canned peaches with no flavor and some type of soggy crust. No cinnamon or brown sugar or vanilla just completely flavorless. I would never recommend this place and I will never return. I don't know how it gets such a good rating. Gross!! read more

Came to this cafe with my coworkers this morning around 10:30AM...I'll be honest we expected more of a fast food kind of joint but oh my god we were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by such friendly faces. The staff was so sweet and very attentive. We were originally going to take it to go because again we thought it was a fast food joint, but when we saw how busy the restaurant looked and seeing all of the yummy food come out we decided to have breakfast here.
