Our son has been going to Ayala MMA for about a year and a half now and I have nothing but good things to say about Coach Jorge and the gym. The kids classes are really great and Coach Jorge does an amazing job working the kids out while still keeping it fun. In fact there are a few autistic kids in my son's class and I have been incredibly impressed with Coach Jorge's ability to work with these kids and keep them engaged. I feel our son has improved his skillset and attitude exponetially since he has been attending the class. My wife also attends the Women's only boot camp and loves it. In fact it has worked out perfectly as she can attend boot camp while our son does his class. This is a small local owned business and you can see that Coach Jorge cares about all of his customers. In fact, he did not discontinue any classes during the COVID quarantine. He held daily zoom training sessions with the kids so they got some activity while at home. My wife's boot camp also had regular zoom training sessions which I even took part in. Overall, Coach Jorge is an amazing guy so if you are thinking about signing up for MMA training or even the Women's bootcamp I would very highly recommend! read more

If I could rate this facility 10 stars I would. Coach Jorge is a master in his niche. He trained both of my younger cousins in the past and is now training my seven-year-old son. He's only been training for a month now and I can already see a difference with him getting out of his comfort zone and gaining confidence little by little with every class. Coach Jorge structures the classes perfectly so the kids stay engaged and focused throughout. He not only teaches them great discipline but also talks to them to build them up emotionally and mentally. The program is not only teaching my son physical skills but also building his character. I can only say that this gym is amazing! From the first time I called, the person on the phone was super friendly, making it easy to feel comfortable from the get-go. FFA is unlike any other martial arts academy I have been to. They offered a 30 Day FREE Trial, that is what got me in the door. Sounded to go to be true but it was legit. Logic is they know you will like it and after a month you definitely become part of the team. Well it worked, the martial arts gym and culture is great and i became part of the team. Facility: The gym is very nice and clean. They have an awesome cage and two different training spaces. The gym has a variety of different bags, training dummies, giant tires, ext to train with. Everything I feel I need to train is here. Instructors: The instructors are the best part. They knew my name immediately and always call when I miss class which is something I have never heard of. Personally it keeps me motivated to not miss class! The class environment is awesome, very friendly environment and a variety of students. Many started with no experience like me. Technique: The technique is solid and explained very thoroughly. The classes cover Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, and Self Defense situations. Price: There are a variety of options but I feel Im getting plenty of worth. before I even decided to do it, I tried the 30 Day Trial and it helped ease any hesitations I might have. I personally liked the 30 days cause must places offer a free class or week and I don't think that enough to determine if a martial arts dojo is the right one for you. This is a tremendous gym - Coach Jorge provides world class instruction in an inviting, supportive enviroment within a very nice facility. As far as instruction goes Coach Jorge has it all - he comes from a great lineage (google the Avellan brothers), patience, kindness, and a great memory, all back by years of martial arts expierience. All ages, body types, and expierience levels are represented here, I found this place perfect for a beginner like myself. Coach Jorge makes sure to foster a friendly enviroment, no knuckleheads here. Classes are great, any given class you are learning jujitsu, wrestling, boxing, or muay thai technique. Very hard to plateau. Classes begin with a challenging warm up but nothing too strenuous for the average joe. There is a 30 day trial that poses ZERO risk to you but the upside is tremendous: you can get in shape, learn how to defend yourself, and meet nice people along the way. read more

This a great gym. Love the intimate environment. Freestyle Fighting Academy & Women Only Bootcamp is definitely the best gym in Broward County. The staff here make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The gym is very versatile teaching martial arts for kids as young as 3 years old and adults and have a great Women Only Fitness Program. What I love most is the Women Only Bootcamp. I get to workout out with other like minded motivated ladies in a great environment. The instructors keep me motivated and sweating. I have lost weight and kept it off this time. Coaches genuinely care about me and since I have been attending this gym it has made a tremendous positive impact on my life and my body. We've been members for 2 1/2 years now. My son is in the kid's program and I'm in the women's bootcamp program. We love it and always feel at home. All the parents are so friendly to each other (stuck-up soccer moms, this is not the place for you) Everyone is so down to earth; we are truly a family. The coaches are sincere and always there if you need them. At times I've had issues with my son (at school and at home) and have approached his coach. He speaks to him and motivates him to do better in such a way that I can't even think of and I'm a mom!!! Oh and btw, when they say free, it really is free! This is the best gym I've ever been to! I brought my kids here to train and they LOVE it. I had my children in other sports and it was like pulling teeth to get them out the door and to practice. With FFA Weston, my children are ready to go WAY before class starts and are dragging me out the door because they're so excited to get to class. The adult martial arts classes are also a lot of fun. I thought training would be strange for me since I had no experience, but Coach Jorge makes it very easy for a beginner to feel comfortable right away in the intro classes. From the moment I walked into the FFA in Weston, Fl I immediately felt welcomed. Although mixed martial arts is a very competitive sport, there were no egos involved, everyone is there for the same purpose which is to get in shape and learn how to better defend themselves. The coaches are very detailed in how hey they instruct us and i've learned so much in just the 2 weeks that I've been there, I also lost 5 pounds in the first week so that was encouraging! My son has Autism and didn't do well in organized sports. From the 1st day training with Coach Carlos he was hooked. After a few short months we are happy and proud to say he has graduated to the regular kids classes. My fingers are crossed that he does as well as he did in privates but with GREAT coaches like Coach Carlos and Coach Jorge I'm sure he'll be fine. This Bootcamp team rocks. It's family owned and operated with a dedicated friendly staff. Workouts can be adjusted to fit someone's needs but the basic schedule of workouts is meant to challenge you and build strength. They also have an amazing kickboxing class day. The coaches are top notch! FFA Weston really focuses on making your whole family better. My son who is 6 and myself (37) both attend. My son is doing great and I am amazed at the amount of 1 on 1 they give him. As for myself I had no mma experience and I am competing is a friendly tournament 2/8/14. I cannot compliment the commitment of time I have been given from the coaches, to the people in the class. This is the friendliest and most fun gym in Weston. If you are looking for an amazing gym that services the entire family then look no further; FFA in Weston is that place. I have been going to the gym with my family for almost two years. My oldest son absolutely loves the place and looks forward to going and attending his class. His self confidence has improved as a result of the classes and he is learning self control an area he struggles with. Coach George is firm but loving with him. My four year old twin boys recently started taking classes and love it too. The coach is fantastic with working with them and helping them to stay focus as they train. I love the way the coaches nurture but train them to fight and be respectful all at the same time. Did I mention they offer a 30 day free trial. This was helpful especially when my twins started training. This trial period ensured that my boys enjoyed the class before I signed them up. I also like that I got a considerable discount given that I have three kids training. I also love that the gym offers a family training day twice a month where the entire family participates at the same time. They also offer social events through out the year for the kids and adults. This sets Ffa apart from other gyms. Most places don't do anything like this. FFA is not all about the kids for me. I started training there about 6 months ago in the woman's bootcamp class. It can't get any better than this, I get to work out at the same time my kids are training. No more excuses for not getting my workout in. Coach Peter is truly an amazing instructor. He pushes you to work your hardest but he is sensitive to any limitations or medical concerns you may have. He is able to adjust the workout to still be effective but safe for you and your needs. I love that about him. The workouts are never the same which keeps it interesting. Coach Peter is extremely knowledgeable about the workouts and nutrition. His focus is on technique to make sure you don't get hurt and you get the expected results. I love that he models the exercises and he watches to make sure you have good form. I also love that he makes the classes fun and that he encourages us no matter what. FFA is the place you want to be if you are looking for professionals with knowledge of mixed martial arts. read more
