When we arrived--within what I understood to be the standard 15-minute grace period--we were told they would not be seeing us. I asked if they could make an exception, given our long-standing relationship and the fact that we did call ahead, but was told very firmly, "We only see patients who arrive on time." What was most surprising was how unprofessional the interaction felt. The receptionist told us we could sit in the lobby, but there was no guarantee when or if they'd be able to fit us in. She also stated that the decision came directly from the head doctor of the practice which was especially disappointing after over a decade of care. We understand that schedules are tight and policies are necessary, but there was no flexibility, compassion, or consideration shown--not even a reasonable explanation that we called ahead of time. It's unfortunate to be treated this way after so many years, and we're now re-evaluating whether this is the kind of practice we want to continue trusting with our child's healthcare.

It took a few calls to realise she meant that sick visits were only being held at Libertyville! Which is fine, but just communicate that somehow other than a mass email which will get sent to junk! But this call left me feeling disappointed at the level of service being offered and so a lot of my kids' needs went to a local urgent care because they could actually get seen. The doctors are overall good although I resent being patronised and I have left a few appts with my kids, expecting for that appt to be the last. One doctor has been outstanding though and that is Dr Nelson. Unfortunately she is moving out of state. That's a true loss to the practice. I understand 2 new doctors arrive in a few weeks.

She is always responsive and available no matter the hour. She is the most well networked doctor I've ever met. My daughter needed to see a plastic surgeon for a birthmark removal and I had trouble getting an appointment. Dr. Weems called the surgeon directly and I had an appointment the next day.
