5 Stars all Day Long!!!! I found Ela by pure luck. While I was purchasing a new foundation at Saks fifth Avenue in Greenwich, I spotted one of the ladies that works there. Her hair was perfection, each strand of hair was in its place and the cut was so flattering as well as her color. I asked for the referral. I called Ela and scheduled 2 appointments for myself and my daughter. Last time I had a haircut this good was 17 years ago when I lived in NYC. Coincidentally, turned out we both lived in the same neighborhood and Ela knows my former stylist. She has the same training and background, we had a lot in common and our conversation was fun. . It's been 3 days since my haircut and I received so many compliments. My husband NEVER says anything about how I look, EVER!but he actually complimented my new look this time and that alone says a lot. I am very pleased and scheduled my color appointment soon. I have very sensitive skin and it did not irritate me at all. She really took her time doing everything too. Ela knows hair & color! Ela just did my blonde highlight touchups and a cut. Amazing work. I aksed for cool/platinum blonde shade. And she delivered! I love the color. It is perfect. I have been to 20+ salons in New York, New Jersey and CT over past 10 years and I have always asked for cool platinum blonde. I never ever received it. I always ended up with yellow hair. Yellow warm tones do not match my skin tone. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found Ela! She also did an amazing trim with slight layers. I came to AZ beauty lounge for some much needed pampering. I got a facial with Ania (the owner) and a wash, blow dry and style with Natasha! The beauty lounge is a girls one stop shop! I saw that aside from hair needs and facials they also offered manicure, pedicures and eye lash extensions! What else does a girl need to feel her absolute best??? Ania's facial was amazing! I left the facial room feeling very relaxed and my skin rejuvenated. She took her time and gave my skin exactly what it needed! I even bought a facial gift card as a Christmas present! Natasha was also amazing! The washing process is important to me because its almost like a mini scalp massage and thats exactly what Natasha made it feel like! I have a ton of hair that is also frizzy, so it can be hard for me to find someone who knows how to smooth out my hair and make it look the way i want it to! Thank God for this place. I came here after an eyelash extension disaster and couldn't have chosen a better place. My lashes now look better than ever (super natural and fabulous) and I have a standing appointment every three weeks. The best part, the eyelash technician is so gentle you can prepare yourself for the best power nap while she is working on you . I took a chance on this place after being throughly fed up with every other spa in the area and I am so glad that I did! I got a facial last weekend and my face still feels like a baby's bottom. Smooth, refreshed and clear. Loved Anna's patience, professionalism and the way she explained everything that she was doing as well as how she described all the products that she applied on my face. This is the place I go to get pampered from head to toe without breaking the bank. I would recommend it 100% to everyone. A GEM ON THE WEST SIDE OF STAMFORD! I came to Ela to get a sombre done in my hair and was told by many other hair salons it can't be done because I used black store box dye a while back. But Ela didn't seem to have any problem with it at all! She made my hair exactly how I told her to do it! I'm soooooo happy with my experience here, and so happy with Ela! From my previous experience at this place, I can say that the services I received were decent. However, I had a rather unfortunate experience today when I went in to get a spray tan. I'm not one to write a bad review, but I feel like this is warrants it. I arrived with a warm welcome and didn't have to wait long until they brought me into the room to get a spray tan. Once I was ready and undressed, the l beauty tech came in and immediately criticized me on my weight, telling me that I had gained weight since the last time she saw me. With a smile on her face, nonetheless, she said, "I see you've gained weight since the last you've been here." After, she proceeded to tell me that they have a new treatment that will help me, "sweat off the fat by laying in a bed in a plastic bag" and it would make me lose weight without working out. As if things couldn't get worse, I then had to stand there while she gave me my spray tan feeling more than uncomfortable with the conversation that had just taken place. Overall I thought this was incredibly poor customer service and I don't think any woman deserves to go into a beauty salon, with the intent to feel beautiful, and come out feeling more degraded than ever. read more
