I've gotten my nails done here a couple of times over the past few months, and I'm always very happy with the results. This salon stands out compared to others I've tried in the Stamford and Darien area. While the prices are a bit high, the quality makes it completely worth it. My nails have always lasted a long time after each visit. I've gotten gel extensions and fill-ins, and both have held up really well. They also offer a free rewards card, which lets you earn a free service after a few visits, which is a really nice bonus! The staff has always been friendly, and the salon itself is peaceful and very clean. Overall, I've had consistently great experiences here and will definitely be coming back again soon! read more

I have heard great things about this location. Most likely they do great with clients that get more pricey services (ie, spa services, builder gel, etc). I made an appt for a spa manicure and pedicure. I was seated with a nail technician who became visibly annoyed when I said I was not getting a gel manicure. I was then moved to another technician. I spoke to her about what I was looking for- she convinced me to try an organic gel polish that lasts longer than the regular (at least 3 weeks). It was a very fast service. I was then escorted out to pay without my pedicure. I spent so much money on my manicure that I let it be. And my manicure has already chipped and I'm only on day 6. In general I'm very disappointed because I have heard such wonderful reviews. It may be the type of salon that caters to its regular clientele. I would have become one of them if it was a better experience and my manicure actually lasted the appropriate amount of time. I can get 6 days out of a regular polish. read more

It is a factory with young kids yelling to each other and zero effort to be spa like or relaxing. They charged me $10 to remove color gel from my hands even though I was getting a manicure. I understand $5 but $10 was ridiculous. I used to come here regularly, but will never go back. There are so many better options. read more

Donna is the best eyelash technician there if you want to get eyelash extensions. I drive close to 2 hours to and from to see her monthly. SF Donna takes her time and is expert at what looks good and fits your eye just right. read more

I was charged 10 extra dollars for organic gel polish. Nobody told me it was extra 10 dollars or that it was organic. I was not given an option for regular gel polish. Staff was extremely rude. While I was getting a pedicure there was a cockroach crawling next to my seat. The person doing my nails was rushing and did not even acknowledge she made mistakes. I received a gift card here for a mani & pedi and i finally got around to using it.. This wasn't my usual spot, so I was apprehensive at first. I made an appointment and they accommodated me flawlessly when i requested to come earlier (on a busy saturday morning). I was greeted right away, and as soon as i selected a color, the woman (Donna) started with my pedicure. I didnt want the manicure so i asked if i could add a 10 minute massage to the pedicure in its place. There was no issue with that, which was nice! The pedicure was great and the leg massage was relaxing. My toes came out perfectly. I will absolutely come here again for a pedicure and maybe even a massage. I saw they have some kind of yearly perks program, so I may even look into that. The only thing is that I wish they had more bright barbie pink colors. There is a parking lot in the back. read more

When I entered the building, it looked fantastic, with everything on the second floor lit with a good mix of Neon and creative lighting choices I had never seen in a spa place. After looking at my options, I went for the $30 pedicure. Mina, my Nail Technician, was fantastic. She was super friendly and did a great job on the pedicure. I feel they did a way better job than my last place, Happy Nails, where the nail person was terrible and gave me the wrong pedicure despite multiple times requesting it. To preface, I rarely give reviews. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with posh. I came here by the reviews of yelp for the first time because I haven't been enjoying my previous places and asked for Mina (from everyone else's experience) for both gel fill in and gel pedicure. The woman on the phone told me she wouldn't have time to do both so I explained to the woman on the phone that I said how how about this - you can give someone else for a gel pedicure, but just know that I am VERY PICKY. That being said, I am extremely happy with the service, how well I was taken care of, the quality time that both Mina and John took on me. I definitely felt like a princess. The vibe was also really relaxing. I'm usually super nervous and I was actually able to relax. Also, I called on the Tuesday before Christmas at 4:45 and they squeezed me in for 6 with Mina. I got there about 5:15 for my gel pedicure. I am so happy with Posh. Yes, they are a little bit pricier, but at the end of the day, I would rather put a little bit more money on a service I'm happy with then pay almost the same somewhere else and not be satisfied. read more

My friend goes to Posh for her manicures and suggested I try it since I was in town visiting. I was able to walk in on a Saturday (early afternoon) and did not have to wait long at all. The place is large and there is a lot of staff. I can't remember ever seeing any salon that busy. But all clients were looking happy and relaxed. I sat and observed the revolving door of people as I sat and had my dip manicure soaked off. Tom did my nails and he did a great job. I had the dip manicure and was very happy with the results. Once Jenny left I went to Steven, who was a great technician but less gifted artistically. And since Steven left along with a few others, everything is "off" at my old favorite place. I've had mixed experiences recently with Posh. I've been when it's not super busy (like a weekday) and it's been terrific. I've also been when it's busy on a weekend and the service lacks significantly. The last time I went I had an amazing pedicure from Grace (amazing!). When I went to get a regular manicure, I was moved to someone else so Grace could go work on someone else. That was very disappointing since she was so good! The manicure felt rushed. I had bubbles everywhere (I asked them to fix 1 nail while I was there since it was embarrassing to walk out with it looking the way it did). It got half fixed, but not well. I was going away so ended up doing my own manicure the next day given all the chips and bubbles. It looks like on the weekends, they try to cram in as many walk-ins as possible (no judgment - gotta run a business) but the service is terrible when they do that and the manager constantly walks around breathing down the technicians necks... uncomfortable. I've been searching for over 8 years in the Norwalk, Westport and Darien area for a salon that provides consistent service and I can honestly say that Posh Darien is the type of salon I've been looking for. I have long gel nails yet my hands are not large and some salons in my past experience have provided a manicure where my nails don't fit my hands and look too think or too wide in proportion to my nail bed. I like Posh Darien because I don't feel like I'm part of an assembly line with technicians who "yes yes" you and then do exactly as they please. I have to compliment the lovely technician whom I've been seeing for several months now, Clara, because she takes the time to listen to my preferences and works carefully to provide a beautiful mani/pedi. I used to go to posh until they had me enroll in their VIP card which essentially charges you more money each time you get your nails done and they claim it's so if your nails chip within a certain time frame you can get it fixed. It's basically a way to get more money from you and I didn't realize this until after. They have always been so rude and they would harass me about who did my lash extensions because I went somewhere else. I told myself I would never go back but I really needed a pedicure so decided to give them another chance. Again, upon arriving they are extremely unfriendly and although I had made an appointment I sat in the pedicure chair for 20 minutes. Finally the girl comes and walks right by me to another customer who was there after me. I asked if they still had time for my pedicure or if I should come back and Rita rudely comes over and goes I didn't know you were waiting and grabs my feet to start the pedicure. The water was so hot it practically burned me, she barely cut any of my cuticles and she might as well not even have bothered to scrub my feet. My pedicure took her 10 minutes to do, it was so rushed and she did an awful job. I will never go back. The two stars is for the cleanliness and large polish selection. read more

I have been going to Posh in Darien for many years. I think the management is great and I have always had a good experience. Yumi is my lash girl love her! Good luck trying to get an appointment she's that good! And i most recently had a new girl her name is JUNA She has the most amazing hands she should be giving full body massages you can tell she knows what she is doing and has her own technique. I have really been disappointed in Posh recently. I've been a loyal and frequent customer for years but recently the management has gotten very rude and rushes you out the door. My regular person is gone now because she spent too much time with her clients. Last week I went for a manicure and they switched out my manicurist when it came to color to an eyelash specialist for the polish part!!! I got the Dazzle Dry and it's chipping now after 4 days. I've been going to Posh for years now for my nails and massages. I usually get the Spa Pedi and for the most part it's very good especially if you want to "upgrade" your pedi experience. Yesterday I had one of the best ones in a while. The foot massage and quick upper back and neck massage that you get with the package were excellent! They took their time and actually massaged you instead of just rubbing lotion on you. My nails came out great as well. I wish they were more consistent when you get the Spa Pedi but either way I have gotten great service coming here. Plus they are clean and sanitary. read more

I have been having massages for years but today I had the best one I have ever had. I had a 90 minute hot stone massage my therapist Mimi was incredible. Usually have a great experience at Posh over the years but this past visit has left me a little upset. It's been exactly two weeks since my 50 dollar dip and 50 dollar pedicure. Pedicure is holding up well but my nail dip is quite the opposite. Knowing I had 3 back to back business trips, I paid extra to have dip. It usually last 3.5-4 weeks. I went for the second time to get a fill on eyelashes. The first time paying with a card and was charged $81. This time around I was informed that I would be charged $85 since I wasn't paying with cash but with a card. I Told the lady that I didn't have to pay $85 the last time I had gone. June is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, always greets me with a smile and always is friendly! Jenny does the most FANTASTIC job on my nails. STEVEN is rough and has a horrible disposition. He did my nails and had an attitude when i told him lengths of the middle fingers didn't match. First he suggests to make the other shorter when I'm clearly annoyed about the shorter length. Then he said my finger is shorter. I came here because of the reviews from South Norwalk and was highly disappointed. The nails were ok but STEVEN needs to be nicer. Especially when he messed up. Update - after coming here for almost a full year I've finally decided not to come back. I typically go to Jenny every single time. Every time i was there I was either waiting 15-20 minutes, they are not respectful of appointment times and two times I've gone in there and they just let someone walk in before and made me wait. Considering their price is higher then a majority of salons around i expect at least a bit of respect and kindness. I found myself being stressed out, over spending, and quite frankly have gotten rude comments from them. Unfortunately i LOVE Reina for my pedicures but I will not be back after spending almost 300 monthly as I go every two weeks and tip very well. I went there yesterday and let me tell you: salon looks all cute and stuff but service is a bit ify. Went there to remove my existing gel and do another also to just remove nail polish from my toes and just FILE THEM. Ended up paying $58 for gel manicure and not even entirely filed toe nails since they didn't even cut the cuticles on my toes. It took a bit longer to take off the gel off of my fingers and the technician kept on using the emery board that made my nails too hot and it started hurting. Told her that she can use the machine to take a layer off so it's easier and less painful but she didn't listen and now i have very sensitive nails. Also they have very limited types of gel. Asked for OPI and they told me they only have two colors from OPI and had small collection from Shellac. So yea won't be going there anymore to be honest. read more

I got the MOST amazing ombré gel manicure by, (I believe his name was Russell?) on March 28th, it has been almost a FULL month, almost FOUR weeks! And my nails still look amazing! I have not gotten as many compliments on my nails EVER! I am HARD on my nails, I'm a fitness instructor, I wait tables and I have very thick, curly hair... keeping a manicure intact is NOT easy. I was going to posh for over a year, my friend suggested to go to Emma which I did. I never had a problem with her she was very good with doing my eyelashes we always had a plesant visit. The front desk is not customer friendly, Sarah would call me up and say Emma left to go home she was sick when this was not true, they treated me horrible and I did not do anything to Emma or anyone there. She called me last minute one day to say not to come when i was walking out the door to go to my appointment with Emma which i thought was very rude and unkind. I NEVER COMPLAINED... i had lashes done which i loved and just asked if Emma could look at one side of the lashes (LOOK) that is not a complaint they took it as a complaint.... Sarah was always lying to me which is very unprofessional. The owner Jason was screaming me on the phone which is a horrible way to run a business. I lived here for over 10 years never had a problem with anyone.. I went there to ask why Emma would not do my eyelashes and they said i complained Never complained ....... i was always happy and paid and gave a good tip!!!! I went out of my way and bought Emma a card and brough it to Posh.. I called up and Sarah answered and she HUNG UP IN MY FACE!!!!!!!!!!! never did anything to anyone there.. I do not know why Emma is such a unkind person when i was always nice ...... I never had an argument with anyone left happy ... I wanted to see Emma again they told me she will not take me as a client .. as of today I do not know ... Very rude and unkind people in front desk and I never did anything to Emma....... I have been to Posh Spa 5+ times while I was home visiting my parents. Their manicures and pedicures are perfect every time, and the entire spa is extremely clean. I most recently had a 1 hour massage with Madison, and she was AMAZING. She knew exactly where to put pressure, and stretched me out in ways I did not think possible! That was booked last week on my last visit. Went there for a few times until a new person did my eyelash extensions. I was so not happy. Before I sat on the bed I kindly told her Id like my lashes up and out. Simple. She says, "yeah yeah yeah". RUDE. Then I asked her could i please have a blanket. She just plopped on my knees.When done, which a long time, she gave me a mirror. My eyes were stinging still but it looked good until I cam home. One eye has more lashes than the other and both have gaps. Then I got an irritation in my eyes. The place has gone down hill.
