They have a challenge keeping appointments and are often overbooked so people have to wait. Was waiting for an hour and then they couldn't work on my problem. Dentist is nice but have to go there a lot for repeat visits. So quality is questionable. Fillings not lasting very long and color matching on filling isn't good. I've been coming here for several years now and always had a good experience. I brought my daughter in for a wisdom tooth extraction, which went well. It wasn't as bad as we all thought. The care she received and that I've received over the years has always been great. My last appointment was a month back. I had a general cleaning. A year back, I had a filling. I recently came in having some question, and got a cleaning. I had an extraction that was necessary 6 months back, and wanted to weigh my options with a bridge, implant and all that. When I came in for my cleaning, I feel they were quick, thorough. I had no insurance, so the price was reasonable. Worse new patient experience at a dental office. I went onto the website to book an appointment, made an appt for today 5/9/24 at 10am. I get a phone call to confirm I will be there at 10am. I get there, after 15 mins of waiting I get called up to the front desk by a lady with short hair (she didn't even tell me her name or greet me) again, my first time ever at this office. she stated that they can't see me at 10am and I did mention to her that I had received a call confirming as well as me mentioning to the gentleman who called to confirm that i have a 2 month old at home and want to make sure I do get seen and I even ask how long would the appt take so i can prepare for that: so I wasn't seen at 10, the same lady asked if I wanted 11am or 3pm, I said okay I'll wait for 11am (meanwhile i went to grab breakfast) I go back 5 mins before 11, I saw the lady with the short hair leave and I'm waiting, at 11:25 I ask how much longer? the lady in glasses and scrubs said she'd check. Comes back, sits dow, and I wait another 5 mins and ask her what time? she said they don't know because we have a lot of patients right now. The lack of respect for people's time, their disorganized schedule, and first impression was terrible. The lady in the short hair which I'm guessing is a manager is rude and very unprofessiona. I will not be going back. Aall of this and I received no apology either, NOTHING. read more

Update: New office Manager is very rude. I got Invisalign with them and Durning my Invisalign treatment I became pregnant and oh my having them made me sick. Old office manager mention to me when I was ready just come back and start my treatment. I called to see when I can come in and they said, new manager was in a car accident and would call me when she got back. She called me while being out of the office and told me she will call the Invisalign company to see if they can work with me. I PAID!! In full for my treatment. I never received a phone call I kept calling and the staff would tell me she was to busy to talk and would call me back. Never got a call back.. I received a letter saying the days they called me to come for appointment for my Invisalign and that's not true. I have every voicemail and never once talked about my Invisalign. Just to come in for a cleaning. This dental office got paid and I didn't get my full Invisalign's. Never got a call to tell me that if I didn't come to finish my treatment they would cancel treatment. I was told due to my pregnancy I was able to come back and finish my treatment. My teeth are straight only thing I was working on was closing my middle gap. This dental office got paid and kept my other Invisalign's. I asked for them and they won't give them to me. read more

We are disappointed at the lack of communication between locations - especially if one location refers us to another within AZ dental because they is a specialist at the other location. I called several times to our "home" az dental to confirm the other location was aware of what teeth to pull, that they were actually ready to do the work (and it wasn't just going to be a consult), and confirmed with them we wanted to go the anesthetic route (not nitrogen). I called them 3 times over 2 weeks to confirm all of this (asking same questions several time - including up to the day before) We take time off work only to get the location to realize they had no information about her until an hour before. They also were not prepared to do the anaesthetic. They didn't know what teeth to pull until they read her file at that moment. And then realized she is under the age of 10 so they need an anaesthetian to come and be present on site. Very upset. read more

She told me I needed to remove some fillings and put in white ones, then she referred me to oral surgery when I told her I already had my wisdom teeth removed and braces, I had jaw pain not tooth pain!!!! This doctor was all over the places making stuff up!! I went to (Bright now!)in the same shopping center, treated me so nice and professional. They took x trays and looked at my mouth, no cavities, no needed fillings, no TMJ all I needed was a simple night grinding mouth guard!!! I got a deep clean completed at the Monterey Location, sometime in May of this year (2022). I had insurance through my company at the time so the insurance paid most of the bill and I paid the rest. A couple of months down the line I moved companies so my old insurance provider was no longer my provider. I was under the impression that my insurance, back in May, covered the cost and I paid the difference. But I keep getting mail to my home address that I am late on a payment. SO, I went to the office and spoke with an extremely rude front office woman named Sandra. I actually called earlier this month about it and spoke with Sandra who assured me, at the time, that she would handle it. But I still received a second notice of that same bill. Which is why I went down to the office. Sandra told me she emailed the insurance provider and gave them what they needed but they didn't respond. I think Sandra forgot about it until I actually came into the office. She said "she's done everything she could do" which is why I asked for her supervisor's contact info. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked for that and even told me that I HAD to deal with her. She made it seem like I was at fault for this issue. So I felt like I was on my own with this problem and now I am on the hook for some payment that should have been paid through my insurance provider back in May. I love this AZ dental location because the staff is super friendly! This is located right by house so it's also very convenient. I've been scared to go to the dentist because i haven't gone since I was a teenager (I'm well into my twenties now) and was afraid of judgement, but a bad toothache caused me to come to the dentist and it was a judgement free experience! The dentist office is very clean and they do temp checks for every customer. I love that they are open weekends and send text reminders for appointments. read more

They were very efficient and friendly. I was able to have everything done in one visit which is nice when you have a busy schedule. I didn't feel like they were trying to hustle you more to get products like at other dental locations that I've been at. A lot of their complaints here is from billing which is out of their control depending on insurance coverage. I went to this please because I have seen ads all over the place promoting it, I thought i'd give it a try. I went to the location at the plant and at first it seems small but in the inside they really make it work. I just kinda don't like that they don't have individual rooms for each patient, all the workers seem to be running around and passing you and each other. So I did not like that I did not have privacy. In the lobby they play this annoying video loudly promoting invisaline. I have been there a few times and I already hate this video and song. I wish they would put the volume lower or play the news sometimes. Don't get me wrong, they have a nice facility with state of the art technology. I loved to be able to watch the screen above my face, showing me pictures and following along with my dentist. That part is what inspired me to give some positive feedback, but that is mostly it. The dentist I saw was an Indian lady who was very nice and informative. She basically told me what I have been told by numerous dentists but showed me the images on the flat screen above my head. What really pissed me off though is first they sent in the receptionist to talk to me about financials. She tried to get me to go a certain route, claiming she has done this before herself, yada yada and that the other way that I wanted to go, is not so great. The receptionist leaves to talk to my dentist really quick and then comes back and tries to sell me what she just tried to talk me out of! She literally was just talking trash about the route I wanted to go and then came back and did a 180. I couldn't believe her and felt like they just wanted my money. Also, they charged me all this money for my X-rays and now I find out I can't even have the procedure done there. So they are probably not going to let me take the x-rays that I paid for to get this procedure done that I have been wanting/waiting to get for some time. Forget this place, they just want to take your money. read more

As if my previous review wasn't bad enough, that was before I got a crown. The crown they made was improperly sized that they had to use the drill to change the size so much so that they ended up with a *hole* in the crown! They didn't tell me though. When I went to my regular dentist for a follow-up, they noticed. The crown they placed was also completely off in color. Instead of going back to AZ dental to re-do the crown I went to my regular dentist because he has been far more competent. When he removed the crown with a hole he noted that the post they created to put the crown on was enormous, and that's why the crown didn't fit right. Needless to say my regular dentist fixed things and I have a new crown that is perfect. I called AZ dental to get my money back for the crown since they botched the job, but the manager is never able to take my call. And I have never received a call back. Talk about poor customer service. Please save your money and your time and go somewhere else. You will be glad you did! read more

*BEST DENTIST OFFICE IN SAN JOSE.* My family and I all get our dental work done here and we have been there for almost 3 years. Every-time we go in its always an amazing experience the pain is minimal(I have gotten wisdom teeth pulled and cavities filled) and everyone there is always friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. I officially started the process of braces today and this is a huge deal...I have needed braces for many years now but because of money issues and them being really expensive I never got a chance too.Pia is an incredible woman and broke everything down for me and I am now able to afford them and I am so grateful for that:] I 100% recommend this Dentist Office, professional friendly staff who actually knows what they're doing and won't over charge you for what needs to be done. read more

Excellent service with state of the art equipment. The office in very clean and is located in the plant shopping center minutes away from my work which makes it very convenient. Its great that they are open on Saturdays because most other dental places are not. Their staff is very helpful and were willing to work with me when I needed to change my appointment. I love how you can stream Netflix and watch your favorite shows while the dentist is performing her procedure. This makes trips to the dentist more bearable and gives me something else to do besides stare at the ceiling. read more

I picked AZ Dental because I needed a new dentist. I was very impressed that they found 7 cavities, and addressed my problem of needing braces. At the time they were having a special on Invisalign with $2000. Saved me a bunch, and my teeth are looking great! Love my normal dentist, but it seems like every time I go there I have a different one! The receptionists are nice, but sometimes they can be a bit bossy with scheduling. I'm a private school teacher, and we can't always get subs. I really need my appointments during the later hours, but they always get exasperated when I can't schedule early in the morning. It's like, what do you want me to do?? Oy. Love that my teeth are being taken care of, and they are prompt about getting back to you if you have a problem. I gotta say, though, the rooms where you are have cameras in them, and it's open for everyone to hear everything you're saying. Sometimes it's embarrassing. Could they not have a curtain???? Best part? When I have fillings I get to watch Netflix. I love me some Cake Boss. Cavities are a breeze there. Overall, like this place, but privacy is a little lacking. read more

Had to come in because my wisdom teeth had a cavity and it was killing me. I paid something around 600 or so for eating one tooth pulled. After they told me the price I was on the maybe end and then they told me if I came the day of the oral surgeon would be there and would give me a discount if I paid cash. The office was very clean ... However everyone there was trying to up sell me or sell me other service. I just want one freaking tooth pulled. They estimated all these "problems" that would cost around 4k ... Yeah no. Finally I got it trough their thick skulls that I just want the single tooth pulled ... Afterwards they had the audacity to tell me to pull my other there wisdom teeth (which all grew in straight and doesn't bother me) because it's "no use" GTFO, the office manager lady was really annoying 1 star for cleanliness 1 star for taking me in on short notice 1 star for the oral surgeon because I didn't feel a thing .. Heard so many bad things about wisdom teeth pulling but I just felt pressure and 5 minutes it was out .. Also probably because my teeth was like another other one in my mouth and grew in straight, just a cavity Minus stars for constant upselling, annoying front desk manager lady ugh she is not the face of customer service read more

Great facility and staff! Our daughter is getting her braces done with them and so far everything has been great. All procedures are explained to us prior to getting it done. The orthodontist, dr. Lee, was kind enough to explain thoroughly all the steps we were taking and what to expect. Too bad, we were just informed that he recently left and would be replaced by a new dr. Lee! Anyway, the staff is always great at welcoming us no matter which branch we go to. Matt, is really good at what he does and so are the rest of the staff. Dr. Patel is really good at tooth extractions. He was so patient and so gentle at doing my daughter's extraction that she's not dreading coming back for the next 2 that we have to do.
