First impression is everything. Needed a new barber, closer to me. How did I not realize they're in the same plaza where Costco is, where I'm always basically at. But I was a walk in, needed a taper. Have had a couple cuts from Carlos - he's consistent, fast, friendly, and I've never had to wait when I get there. I haven't had cuts from anyone else yet. It's a comfortable space, solid haircut, and very reasonable price. You won't get all the bells and whistles that some other shops have, but you won't pay for all those extras either. All depends what you want in a barbershop. This works perfect for me and would recommend it to anyone else who just wants a solid cut at a reasonable price. read more

I am going through chemo and my hair started falling out by the handfuls while traveling through Phoenix. I looked for someplace near my hotel to get it shaved. I called and told them what I needed and they told me to come in as a walk-in. I really wanted to have the woman and luck would have it she finished in time to see me. She made what was difficult for me into a relaxed and almost pleasant experience. So I know I'm not their typical client but I saw the care they took with everyone while I waited. I've never been in a barber shop before but I can say I was very impressed with the time they took and making sure that each of their diverse clientele left satisfied. read more

This place was average. I gave 3 stars because of their prices, which are really high compared to other barbers right near by who would give the same cuts and trims for half the cost. I got a hair cut and beard trim and it was $50. The people were really nice and the facility was so-so. If the prices drop I would come back but until then I will go somewhere else. read more

After 6months of searching for a barber here in Phoenix, I've finally found one. I had my barber in california but when I moved out here it was tough trusting someone to not mess my hair up. Carlos and Yadira have been nothing but great. One of the few Barbershops that I've been too that take and accept credit/debit cards. Ok this place seems to be a new place since there is only one barber (Carlos) and it seems empty when I was there. I was a little skeptical since I hate hate hate going to a new place to get a hair cut cause I can never explain myself right and I look like an idiot but after a few cuts the barber remembers me. So currently I got to another barber for almost 2 years, which I love. But I won't name who or where so it doesn't take anything away from Carlos. So I gave Carlos a chance and let me tell you he cuts hair fast, I was first worried but he was very detailed and went back at the same spot over and over again and he did a few techniques that my current barber doesn't do and it seemed a little cleaner. Not much but still if I can get a great haircut a little better I'm down for that. I have some weird hair too and he was able to get it the way I like it and evened everything out as well. The great thing now is I have a barber I can go to on the east side and now here with Carlos. Don't let the low reviews and new shop scare you, Carlos will give you a good cut and you won't wait long and for $15 bucks for a cut, that's a steal. read more

I don't ever post reviews on here good or bad but this was probably my worst haircut experience ever. You walk in it's not busy no one acknowledges you for a few minutes. I only made eye contact with the woman who cut my hair, while they discussed who was going to cut my hair. The haircut took about 45 minutes, she kept on changing clippers brushing get different clippers brush and so on. At this point I had a feeling it wasn't going well I ask to look in the mirror she hesitated. I obviously don't like what I see I tell her please clean up the sides. Blah blah beyond irritated I could go on but whatever literally going to another barbershop right now to get corrected. I don't see this place lasting long unfortunately. read more

I'm originally from uptown Manhattan and almost every barber I go to knows how to cut great. Since moving to Phoenix about 5 years ago I've been hesitant to get a haircut cut, especially because my hair was thinning on top and so I would just shave it off. I've been to multiple barbers in Phoenix and Scottsdale and wasn't really happy with the fade cut and faded beard. Since I'm moving out of here and heading back to NY next week, I decided to get one last haircut and Carlos did an excellent job, bar-none!!! No short-cuts whatsoever. He took his time to make it perfect (like the barbers you see on YouTube!). I was very pleased with the service and sharp look!! Also, the price and service compared to other barbers was phenomenal and just right. I've also seen the patience they have with each one of the individuals in their chair. Before Carlos and his shop, I've never been to a shop outside of the "clips" (sports clips, great clips, whateverclips) My fiancée has been going exclusively to Carlos for over 3 years now. At first, he went to his shop out of convenience as we lived close by at the time, and over the years, we have moved farther and farther away (Ahwatukee now), but that does not stop us from coming to see Carlos. As of late, Carlos incorporated an appointment system, & we have grew fond of it, as it speeds up the process and reduces the wait time. Over the years, the shop has altered majorly, (I'd say for the better) but Carlos hasn't changed the professional-style job that he does every single time, no matter what type of style we wanted, letting my fiancée have his relaxation time while making him look so handsome. I love to tag along when I can, as his shop welcomes anyone. The fact that this is a family-ran shop, makes me love it even more, as I've never felt uncomfortable, even though I don't get the haircut, I still enjoy the experience that Carlos and his wife gives us every time!
