I do postcrossing and have lots of pen pals so I come here occasionally to send packages or restock on stamps. They've got stamps I can't even get online! If I could give zero stars I would…read more From the very beginning there was incompetence, and or poor training, leading to unprofessional and unacceptable handling of my account and mail. I tried to use the online notary several times to get the account authorized in the beginning, and each time I waited a long time, and no one ever became available. I then went and got the paperwork notarized in person and submitted it. It was only supposed to take 2 to 3 business days for acceptance. After I believe five days, I finally messaged to find out what the delay was and my account was approved the next day. A piece of mail, a significant check, arrived at Anytime Mailbox and I requested that it be held so I could pick it up. I then received a message saying that they had already mailed it by accident and tagged it with "my bad" instead of "I'm sorry". Very unprofessional. Photo attached. That item became lost in the mail, and I had to request a new check be sent, and I've only just received that new check from the original company after over two months from when I should have received it. While, I can't hold Anytime responsible for the Postal Service losing mail. My guess is that it was probably miss-handled in someway since all of my experiences with the company have been unprofessional and incompetent. I then got another piece of mail, another check at Anytime and requested several times that it be deposited. I even called into the location and spoke to someone and requested it be deposited. I was told that they had sent me a message, but I never received any kind of message, and there was no place to find messages on my dashboard within my account. At least not that I could find. I then asked that it be sent in the mail. I made this request with great apprehension since they had lost my previous one, but I felt like I had no choice since they were not following through on depositing the check as I requested, again several times. Even though part of the service The advertise is that they will deposit checks. That's why I signed up with them. They finally sent the check after several several weeks of practically having to beg them to take action. I finally closed the account due to the unprofessionalism, and/or lack of training and/or incompetence.

I have been going to Moon Valley Postal for 10+ years as I believe in supporting small local…read morebusinesses and I enjoyed the "mom and pop" atmosphere. I'm on my third set of owners and the previous 2 were friendly and very much created a community (Moon Valley) atmosphere in the store. Not so with the new owners who took over late last summer. I would now describe the store and owners as cold, unfriendly and definitely not helpful. Last week I attempted to drop off 2 packages to return to the original merchant. Several stores do this (Old Navy, Gap, Natural Life) ...the customer wants to return an item. The customer fills a form on the company website, prints out a receipt, and a mailing label, and is supposed to drop off the return package to a mailing facility. Usually, the returning package needs to be resealed, and the new mailing label taped on. I've been doing this for years at Moon Valley Postal and, in fact, did such a return about 4-6 weeks ago with no problem. Easy-peasy. This time when I dropped off my packages, the employee looked at me like I had just dumped a pile of dog poop on the counter. I was then informed that the packages could not be returned in the manner they were left. Yes...I told the employee that I needed the package to be sealed and the return label taped on. I was informed "We don't do that." When I pointed out that it was no problem on a return that I dropped off previously, I was informed "We don't do that anymore." Hmmm...I wondered why the change in service? Was the employee too busy? When I walked in, there was no one else in the store (in fact, the last couple of times I have been in the store, I was the only customer there.) And the employee was just standing behind the counter. So, I don't think that sealing my packages was really taking them away from a bigger task. Is it a cost issue because I would need them to seal the package and return label on using their mailing tape? How much does a roll of clear mailing tape cost? So, after I was told that they "no longer do that anymore" I scooped up my packages and headed out the door to the UPS store across the street. The employee called out a cheery "Have a Nice Day!" as I left the store. Yea...you too!

While I have visited the historic US Post Office Downtown on many occasions, the building is unique…read moreas it is also home to Arizona State University's Downtown Campus at the same time. I will review both at the same time along with the surrounding area. First, U.S. Post Office itself also known as the "Federal Building-U.S. Post Office" was built in the 1930s and was intentionally designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. I find all of the staff who have helped me at the post office portion of the building on the first floor have been very friendly and helpful though there is often a queue during the day. The line usually goes fast, and the post office area is kept rather clean. When Arizona State University opened the Downtown Phoenix Campus in 2006, ASU took over the upper floor, basement level, and part of the first floor. ASU has the Student Center @ the Post Office on the first floor and then additional offices and conference rooms on all three levels. I have spent a lot of time on the upper floor where the Dean of Students office is as well as offices for Counseling Services, Student Connection & Community, Student Accessibility & Inclusive Learning Services, TRIO programs, ASU Police, Human Resources, and Career Services. On the first floor is the Student Center @ the Post Office (including the Undergraduate Student Government offices for and Changemaker Central) along with Facilities Management. On the basement is a space for ASU clubs and organizations, the Program & Activities Board offices, classrooms, and additional ASU academic services and offices. While the building is open from 8 AM to 9 PM on weekdays when classes are in session and 8 AM to 5 PM during breaks including the Summer. ASU offices are closed during weekends and university holidays. The only negative to the U.S. Post Office building is the challenge with security as there seem to have been a number of situations nearby right outside the north side of the building or even in the Civic Space Park on the south side of the building. Otherwise, the safety within the building is just fine, and the students, faculty, and staff at ASU still frequent the building. With a long history already between the post office itself and now ASU being there, I look forward to seeing what comes up next in the historic building!

I brought in 8 packages--6 were already labeled and only needed to be scanned, and 2 needed labels printed. The employee/owner was on a personal phone call the entire time, didn't greet me when I walked in, and was trying to work with one hand while staying on the phone. What bothered me most was watching her scan my packages and then throw them onto the floor. USPS handling guidance specifically states that packages should not be thrown or otherwise mistreated. Regardless of what is inside, customers should be able to trust that their packages will be handled with reasonable care after dropping them off. As the owner, I would expect a higher level of professionalism and much better care when handling customers' packages. I had planned on using this location regularly, but after seeing how my packages were handled, I don't feel comfortable bringing them here again.
