They…read moretalked about looking for an assisted living community were they could get the help they needed but also a facility that had a skilled nursing unit for those times when one of them needed a bit more care when needed. After visiting a few of the communities in the Moorestown Area they found that they really liked Brandywine because of the people that worked there treated them like family from the very first visit. Brandywine had everything they were looking for to live like they wanted. The daily schedule is full of activities, onsite services for beauty and healthcare were plentiful. The food is amazing with a great selection at every meal. My parents also like that they could still be independent by venturing out of the community almost everyday to grab a meal, go shopping, visit friends and attend church functions. Brandywine made this easy for them by providing a reserved parking spot close to the main entrance. If they were not able to drive they could arrange for the chauffer to take them to a Doctor appointment or other appointments. What really makes Brandywine great is the people that work there. They become part of the family and they treat the residents just like they are family. A few years ago my mother was diagnosed with cancer and it was determined that she would need hospice care. The hospice team and the Brandywine team worked together to make sure that my mother had everything she needed for her to live out the last few months of her life at her Brandywine home. The round the clock nursing staff was always making sure that my mother and father had everything they needed and kept my mother comfortable. When mom finally went home to be with the Lord, the Brandywine family came to the church to help celebrate her life and made sure that our family was aware that they would continue to care for my father like family. It is easy to see why I give Brandywine a 5 Star Rating. It is not only a great community but the people that they employ are the real reason for their success.

My husband and I moved my mom (Mercedes) into Brandywine in August of 2019 and everyone at Brandywine made mom feel so at home. She was very happy living at Brandywine and she built a lot of great relationships. But more importantly, several months after mom's move into the she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Mom was placed in their hospice program which was exceptional. The nurses, aides and management were so attentive and cared for her in such a loving way. Arden Courts of Cherry Hill did a fantastic job of taking care of my mother for a 4 years period…read morebetween 2019 and 2023. My mother had failed to adapt to another facility and Arden turned out to be the perfect place for her. During my time there I met many other families in similar situations where other facilities had been unable to "handle" their loved ones, but Arden always had the magic touch. From a day to day perspective the care was superb, the food was good and the activities were varied and covered a wide range of ability levels. Unlike other nearby "luxury" facilities, Arden focuses on what the residents actually need and not what looks nice to the families. The residents who are mobile have free run of the facility and access to outdoors weather permitting. Use of a resident's room are limited as much as possible to keep them engaged in social activities. The professional staff were all top notch, with the facility director and nursing staff worthy of particular praise for both their everyday professionalism and going above and beyond when needed. Also worthy of note is that Arden Courts avoids requiring costly additional 1-on-1 care and will only send residents to the hospital when absolutely necessary. If a resident does end up at the hospital, it is literally located across the street minimizing the need for transport. Arden Courts is currently under the umbrella of a non-profit so as far as I am aware there is no private equity firm behind the curtain pushing to drive down costs. The Cherry Hill facility in particular is also very supportive of family members with access to numerous eat in/cook out activities, parties and field trips. At the end of my mother's journey they offered ample time to wrap up her room and have an open door policy for said family members to return interact with any persons they may have bonded with. Arden Courts of Cherry Hill 5/5, 10/10, 100% would recommend to a friend or family.

She was so very happy there. From the Maintenance man Louis (who also loves and cares for the residents as family), to the aides, nurses, and administrators the care was phenomenal! They give each resident individualized care, and in my mother in laws death they had beautiful music playing and were all loving on her as if it was their own family. I was told she would get PT three to four times a week. Despite the fact that there's a physical therapy room, it's always empty every time I visit. My mother did not recieve any PT at all. She was put back on a drug that she had been taken off of months ago for a bad reaction she had to it. She doesn't drink anything and eats very little because she knows she will sit in a dirty diaper all day if she does. She has significantly deteriorated from being able to walk and use stairs with assistance when she arrived to not even being able to stand now. I paid 2,500 for her to sit in a bed for ten days and deteriorate. When I call and try to speak to anyone at this facility I get a machine saying their mailbox is full. When I go in person every office door I knock on is locked and nobody answers. I have hired a lawyer and I will reporting this facility to the state for neglect.

I send him care packages every week because he says he doesn't get what he wants to eat and he is always hungry. He asks for his food to be hot and they don't know how to make it hot and it sits in a cold transport box getting colder every morning he says their budget is $2400.00 per month for food cost to fee 100 guests 3 meals plus snacks if there is such a thing. He asks for ketchup for his eggs, nope they ran out, he asks for syrup for his pancakes, nope they ran out. Really! He said they liquidated all his assets and hired Elderguide to assist with going on Medicaid. He thinks he will someday get better and be released and he thinks he can get better, but they do not want to give him PT because there is no money for treatments. He wants to move from there and they keep saying he will be there for at least 5 months to get his Medicaid approved. He had a stroke in April. He complains to me all the time, o when I went to visit (2 hours from me) I noticed there is a nice section, in the front of the facility, newly renovated rooms, public spaces and with a cafeteria overlooking the Delaware river, it looks grand. They have him in the back section, dirty, dingy, old furnishings, small dining room, and he has been told he is only allowed to dine in the front dining room on Wednesdays. WTH! They treat everyone in the back section like second class citizens and more than one resident has told me so. He told me that the workers get into physical altercations with each other and the police have been called. He says the workers are ghetto and bullies. He has not had a good experience. He also asked to have his room changed because his roommate constantly plays the TV too loud but they will not oblige. I got him an Ombudsman from the State , but he said when they came they were buddy buddy with the administrative staff, so nothing ever became of his complaints. He also requests access to a handicap bathroom and they will not let him have access. He is just not a happy guy and he was always so happy and carefree. I hate him being there and I am trying very hard to get him moved.
