I bought the used 2012 Volvo s60 there at 2022. I don't want to mention how many times I need to fix the car regarding engine failure, cooling system, transmission issue. The horn, tires, battery, windshield refill, car key...... all shows problems right after I bought the car. ( within a month). The most ironic thing was they haven't remove the illegal window films(too dark compared the standard) when they sell the car. I didn't know it was prohibited until I got pulled over once. The policeman told me they need to remove it for me without charging me wherever I bought the car, when I call to book appointment to remove this screen protector by their mistake, Azro told me they need to charge 80 bucks. After I told them it's an order by the policeman and policeman says they should remove that for me for free since they sold the car with the illegal condition, they finally admitted to deal that for me without charging extra. Of course I need to drive over 18Kilo from my home towards there to get rid of this films. Recently my car is finally broken by transmission and I truly want to warn the customers to think before you buy cars from here. I shared these on google views and get super ridiculous replies by the owner too, but I can't reply again after owner's comments. I spend over 10k on this car because I like to drive the same car. But the owner was teasing me why don't I buy another new car and it's not realistic if I could drive for 3 years by the bad condition like I described. But I only fixing my car on another places since I don't trust them. That's why it could drive for 3 years. Not Azro's contribution and you really need to be warned about their irresponsible attitude before you spend any money there. read more

We bought a car from Azro, initially based on online reviews. Records looked reasonably clean except what they called a minor surface scratch incident. We didn't care about surface level issues, their mechanic and owner, Zohar said the engine was fine. But, within a few months of owning the car, it started having issues with weak starts, and also grinding noises on the highway at turns at higher speeds. We took it in to them, and they said it was fine. We knew likely it wasn't the case, but their mechanics said it checked out. Well, go another few months out from then, and we've had the car completely stall out and not start a couple of times within a month. We ended up taking it to a secondary mechanic for a second opinion. They confirmed the vehicle had less than 10% brake pad left (we have only driven for leisure on occasional weekends, and had the car for less than 8 months, which means they sold it to us essentially without brake pads), wheel bearing issues, alongside battery issues and others, totaling $2000 in fixes. To note, the car was less than 5 years old when we purchased it. When we purchased, we actually asked Azro whether brake pads need changing or if there are any issues because we were willing to pay more for a well-running car - but they said everything was squeaky clean, which was just untrue. For future buyers, I would be wary of how this business operates and what conditions of vehicles this establishment purchases and sells. They don't create official receipts either, everything is through paper and 'word of mouth' like including oil changes. If you're looking for professionalism and integrity with services, I would look elsewhere. read more

We bought a 2011 Subaru Outback from Azro Tireland at the end of July and our purchasing experience was super smooth, the guys were really helpful and gave us the time we needed to look over the car etc. Thanks to having an ICBC broker onsite, we were able to drive away the same day. After buying the car we noticed a couple of mechanical issues so we called Zohar to explain. He was really understanding and asked us to bring it in the next day. They not only understood the issue and fixed it really quickly but they fixed it at no extra cost which we're so thankful for. We've just returned from a 2 week, 5000kms road trip where we had absolutely no issues with the car, it ran and still does run great. My boyfriend and I recently bought a 2008 Subaru Forester from Zohar and couldn't be happier with the service we received. We were originally set to buy a 2003 Volvo from an independent seller, but after a really pleasant exchange with Zohar at Azro Motors, we decided to take the deal he offered us on the Forester. The day we bought the car, Zohar and his team went above and beyond. His mechanic Peter made sure that all of the details for the car were in place - including getting us a rubber mat for the trunk. Zohar arranged for an ICBC representative to meet us at his shop so we could seamlessly transition the insurance, and let he us leave our old car in his lot to be scrapped! We started to get concerned when there were some minor issues with the car in the first month, but after calling Zohar to discuss, he quickly got us in with his stellar mechanics who fixed up the issues within a day! They even fixed up minor inconveniences like a broken cigarette lighter and the CD player. Overall we are so happy with our decision to buy from Zohar! Went to visit Azro to buy a used car. On the phone beforehand I was assured I could have the car looked at by my mechanic. Upon arrival I was told taking the car to my mechanic would be "a waste of everyone's time". I politely insisted that I will have to take it to my mechanic first before I would purchase the car. When I told the salesman where I was planning to take the car (a rival Subaru mechanic) he freaked out, had what can only be described as a mini temper tantrum, and told me I could not take the car to this mechanic. Then he threw the car keys onto his desk. So I left. Only person whose time got wasted was MINE. Sorry, but anyone who buys a used car without taking it to a third party mechanic 1st is an idiot. And the fact that he wouldn't let me do that tells me he is a swindler. I would never go back here. read more

I mentioned bringing it to my mechanic and they were very defensive. "you won't get a warranty through us anymore if you take it to a mechanic. You get their warranty." Went back today to have Zohar look at my car as it's been almost a year since I bought it. Although I've had the oil and transmission fluid changed I wanted to make sure all is good as it's a 2001. He suggested I bring it in for a tune-up next week and agreed that it's time to get the timing belt changed. Other than that he said it really didn't need anything. Bought a Volvo about 7 months ago and it completely broke down. I have been trying to make an appointment for over a month now and they keep saying they are too busy. I am willing to wait because they are the ones that know my car best. After calling once a week for 5 weeks finally the guy said "it's out of his hands once you buy it". I do understand that it's not their fault it broke down I would just like an appointment to try and get it fixed and he said he will not work on the vehicle. It doesn't make sense to treat customers that have been going there for years like this. I was absolutely in love with a car from his shop and wanted it so badly but he refused a third party inspection. I cannot spend $8000 on something based purely on his word... and a rude word at that. He was fine when I wanted the car and the moment I asked about an inspection the tone changed drastically saying I was insulting him and that he is a mechanic and he doesn't want other mechanics touching his cars. For a middle aged man, he was certainly acting childish... I cannot believe he makes a living at all with his horrible attitude and extremely rude tone towards me. I would not recommend this. I also feel that he was profiling me heavily when talking about price - which I am sure is common. Asking me where I am from, what I do, what my parents do.. sounds like small talk, or figuring out how much to charge me. As a female by myself I felt he thought he could pressure me into something i didn't feel comfortable with and not knowing much about cars it almost worked. Shame on him. He told me to go online and look at all his good reviews but I am finding not too many good ones and here's one less. I would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

I am going to try to keep this simple since I have too many good stories of how great Zohar has been to me. I have been with Azro for almost eight years. From first bring my car over for oil change and repairs, to buying Volvo's from him after my old car got total'ed after getting hit by a van. At the time I needed a cheap car since I just started working. He sold me a 240 for a grand and I drove that car for over 3 years before upgrading to a 740 Turbo from him for about $1500. That car also lasted more than 3 years but unfortunately the tranny died. Would've gotten it fixed but I was traveling up north and it was too expensive to tow it back. It was an easy decision to leave it behind as I already got more than my money's worth from that car. I am now driving a 940 from, you guessed it, Zohar and it runs amazing. In the low-end range, his cars might (understandably) look a little rough cosmetically, but still mechanically sound and incredibly reliable (especially Volvo's); this is speaking from experience. From mid to high end, his cars look and drive great. When I feel it's time to upgrade once more in a few years, I will be looking at his selection again. All the maintenance work and repairs over the years were done well and the cost was fair. Zohar is Volvo specialist, and what's more, he's an honest businessman, very rare in this field, as he's the only mechanic I've ever met that told me I didn't have to fix some of the things I asked him to, just needed some adjustments! I have recommended my family and friends to this place and will continue to do so. If you need your car serviced, sell/trade in your existing vehicle, looking for a quality used car, you must check this place out. read more

Bought a 2000 Volvo C70 for a really good price... only problem was that the car was cosmetically very maltreated by the previous owner - tons of deep scratches and a very bruised front bumper, even the convertible roof was marked up, scuffed all over, and even had a small tear. Mechanically everything seemed fine, though it had a lifter tick that was at least not constant. Took a gamble because the price was low, so I bought it. I took it to two other Volvo shops to have it combed over mechanically with a fine tooth comb. Over the next 2 months, I narrowed all down all mechanical work to one shop - Allvo in Burnaby, and I had them look at everything again - fuel pump, gaskets, shocks, clutch, transmission, brakes, even did 2 compression tests. The compression tests came out very good, and the only thing that needed to get fixed was an old hose that had cracked. However, the front shocks were going and so were the brakes, and the tires were old - so I got new shocks, new brakes, and new tires. I kept my eye on the lifter tick and religiously did my oil change once a month, also adding engine cleaner each time. It's been a 11 months now, and lots of highway miles between Vancouver and Portland Oregon, as well as to work each day to Langley and back. The lifter tick is gone and the car has never had one problem whatsoever! This month I decided to spend the money on a new top ($2000) because it looks like this car is very mechanically sound and reliable, and repainted the body panels and bumper. Azro is a great personal guy who is honest and likes to make a deal. I would not hesitate to buy a 2nd car from him. Also, Allvo in Burnaby is a really good shop for fixing your volvo - they really really know what they are doing. read more

This is a great place to buy a car or to have your car repaired. We bought our SUV here and they made the small adjustments/repairs we asked for without any extra charge. However, our new SUV could have been a little cleaner when we picked it up (e.g. typical mechanic hand grease on driver side interior door handle). On our truck we got a $35 basic oil change and front brake pads replaced for $80. Honest, decent owner who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. As such, he's got some really loyal customers and that's always a good sign when dealing with a used car place and mechanic. read more

I am sad to write this review, however, I don't want anyone to face what I have since purchasing a car from Azro. I was turned on to Azro by a friend that had nothing but good things to say about this dealership. I bought a car from him a year ago just after a one ton truck rolled over my car and it was written off by ICBC. I was in a state as to how I would get to all the things without the use of a vehicle. The owner assured me that he would be my mechanic and support me as I got familiar with my new car. (I typically drove Toyotas') He said the car had been routinely maintained at his dealership and that it was in perfect shape. He answered all my questions and I left with a car. Right after the 3 month warranty there was a warning light coming on. I called several times only to get a worker and he assured me that the owner would call me back. Never did! Finally I went down there to be told by him that he is no longer fixing cars only selling them. When I questioned him on our agreement at time of purchase which was only months prior he then said I could bring it in. Of course it was only during the times I work leaving me high and dry. I started doing my own investigation under the hood to discover there was not even a drop of oil in the car. I immediately went and bought several liters to fill it up. I have discovered the car leaks oil and now not even a year later it is blowing out smoke . I took it to my old mechanic to get his advice (he is retired) he said not to spend money on this car as it is burning oil. I went to Azro , saw the owner, but when I went inside to talk with him he mysteriously disappeared, left my number with his worker and of course I have heard nothing. Not worth the headache. I was looking at a Subaru Impreza, & the car looked and drove great. Knowing that cylinder heads were a major issue with these vehicles I asked about the small oil accumulation in the engine bay & if the cylinder head gaskets were in good condition. Zohar assured me the car was in perfect mechanical condition & that he wouldn't sell anything that wasn't mechanically sound. The check engine light was on but he said it was a faulty sensor. He 'replaced it' and sure enough the light was off next time I saw the car. After viewing & test driving the vehicle 3 times I told Zohar I'd like to have it mechanically checked, he seemed very offended by this and refused the garages I suggested taking it to. He said the only place he'd "trust with his car" was the Minit-Tune up the road. He made me feel very uncomfortable that I didn't trust his 'guarantees' & his initial friendliness was gone. Thankfully the guys at Minit-Tune were very honest and found the cylinder head gasket was in-fact blown, the clutch needed replacing, the brakes were worn out and two of the shocks were shot. Had I bought this car these repairs would have cost me thousands above the purchase price. In short, don't take anything Zohar says as truth. THIRD PARTY CHECK ALL THESE VEHICLES. The Minit-Tune check costs $100 but the guys there are very trustworthy. I would never even consider buying a vehicle from here again. read more

Zohar sold my wife and I a clean, well maintained 2005 S 60 with 160K in July.. It runs beautifully....ran well all summer, including a Vancouver Island holiday. Took it back for a regular oil change/service last week and Zohar did a complete service and inspection including flash and test drive all for the price of a drive in oil/lube. I would recommend Zohar, his service, and his lot full of great deals to anyone looking for a dependable used car from a nice guy who services what he sells. read more

Update: He tends to be inexpensive because he only repairs little bits at a time. This may be a good thing, but a bit of a pain when you actually do need a major overhaul. I still like the guy, but after 20 years, I have now given up on Volvo.( I've had enough of the rear-wheel drive you find on older used Volvos, which is all I can afford.) read more

BIIIG DISAPPOINTMENT! I bought turbocharged Subaru from Zohar, didn't test it on highway. One day after purchase drove it 90kmh and discovered steering wheel shakes a lot above 80kmh and is too hard to turn(judging by 7 previous subarus I have owned). Took it back, needed 2 hours to convince him to balance 2 tires, which did not fix the problem. Then another 3 hours to convince them to balance another 2. Did not fix the problem either. All that post-purchase hustle was spiced up with 'We are busy', 'take the car to Canadian tire to fix it up', 'I can not feel anything(when they drove it)' and lots of uncomfortable looks from staff. I gave up and took of to Kelowna, check engine light came on half way there and engine lost half power in big winter blizzard with a long standing lineup on coquihalla(pretty scarry). Made it to Kelowna, towed the car back to them and had to wait 3 days to have them check whats wrong. They said its just turbo and I should take it elsewhere to fix it. He still REFUSES TO FIX THE CAR or give money back(I even offered to give him 500$, and he wont take it). What a great start of my 2 month holiday in Canada! Thank you, Zohar!:(( read more

I was looking for a car about a year ago, and my friend recommended here. I know nothing about cars, but I happened to know some people who work in this industry, and you know stories I hear are sometimes not so good.. Anyhow, my friend and her dad have been buying cars from Azro for ages, so I thought I should give it a try. The owner was friendly, and most importantly, he was not pushy at all, gave me some space & time to think over. Funny thing was that the car I had my eye on was Volvo. Since I never owned a Volvo before, I asked a guy I know through work, he is older and someone I can trust, and he goes, oh, if you are interested in Volvo, there is a good shop on Canada Way over the town, and I am like I think that's the same shop! I could not be happier that I bought my car from Azro. Their after service has been awesome. I am a single parent with a little boy & full time job. I went to Azro thinking that buying a car from a mechanic would be safe: hardly. The Volvo was clean, yet there have been problems with the front end that I went back to have him fix via the warranty, and he did nothing to fix the part but told me it was fixed. As well the computer system was compromised, yet he said it wasn't and refused to do work. If you are looking to drive away happy, this is not the place to buy a car. read more

I have been taking my Volvo sedan and my wife's Volvo station wagon to Azro Tireland for going on 10 years. We have received excellent service. We have especially appreciated the honesty of the owner. Case in point, I took my previous Volvo 240 sedan to an auto repair shop on the west side of Vancouver to assess and repair an "engine needs service" light that went on, on my dashboard. The shop charged me $750.00 CAD. About a year later the "engine needs service" light went on again. I took it to Azro Tireland and the charge was $50.00 CAD. The owner explained that it was a simple matter of changing a part that regulates oxygen levels to the engine. I have heard other such stories from the many satisfied customers who rely on Azro Tireland for honest and excellent service to our cars. read more
