More often than not my orders begin with me walking into Mike's office and saying "I know this is really short notice, but can we do it?" Most recently I was tasked with outfitting approximately 25 employees with customized uniforms, including embroidery, heat press and patches. The deadline I had to work with was very short notice. I explained the situation to Mike and he got me a quote within 24hrs. When he identified issues, such as hard to find sizes or back ordered items, he worked closely with me to identify and implement solutions. When my deadline was shortened due to contractual obligations, Mike began heat pressing shirts himself to help me make my new, even shorter deadline. Through the entire process on multiple occasions, and multiple orders, Mike has helped me accomplish tasks that seemed impossible at first. I will be certainly be doing more business with On The Job in the future and can, without hesitation, recommend them to anyone. Thanks Mike and Team for all of your hard work!

As I was looking at the immense number of grips to choose from, I asked a younger girl who worked there which she would suggest and she just pointed and said any. So I was still confused-so I asked another associate who was stringing a tennis racket and he also sort of gave a half ass answer and called for another associate. The employees were not very friendly or helpful-hence I am not giving five stars. However, I finally got the right person-seemed like the manager and she was fantastic. She spent about 20 minutes trying to peal apart my old grip--using all sorts of tools and it was disintegrating in her hands, so I felt really bad. Once she managed to get it off she put on the new grip for me, which was so nice--she really went out of her way to make sure it worked, so I appreciated that. Also-their selection is fabulous--at least in the pickleball area where I was looking--tons of rackets to demo, grips, bags, tennis/pickleball attire etc. I will definitely will go back in the future, if I need other pickleball items, just hoping the employees won't look so annoyed and disinterested if I ask a question.

Instead of going back for more abuse, I found Miller's. The store has a classic look from when it first opened decades ago. Inside the store, I also experienced old fashioned courtesy and professionalism. I originally entered the store on Mamaroneck Avenue and went downstairs with my bicycle. Martín tested out a pump I considered purchasing by pumping air into both of my flat bicycle tires. It was a great experience I'd highly recommend. After my purchase, Martin raised the big door for me (which opened onto Phillips Park Road). I rolled out of there a happy customer!

Having much experience with bicycle shops over my 50 plus years plus I was surprised when they had an advertisement in a Bicycle trade paper for a floor manager. I went in for the ''interview'' during Covid and was given a Half Attention dialog/interview with the owner and concluded they are guilty of ageism pure and simple. To make matters more egregious, i subsequently stopped by to pay a token visit as a customer to actually purchase a maintenance product and was given that same blank stare. Rather than trying to sell me a service, the gentleman took the time to explain how it should be measured, where it should be shortened (from the buckle end), and what the correct finished length should be. He never once pressured me into leaving the belt. I left, thought about it, and came back simply to thank him. When I offered him $20 for his time, he initially refused. I insisted and told him, in my best northern English accent, to "have a beer on me." He was genuinely delighted. That interaction told me everything I needed to know. Integrity, craftsmanship, and old-fashioned customer service are becoming rare, and this shop has all three. If you have quality shoes, belts, or leather goods, this is the sort of place you want looking after them. They've earned a customer for life.

Especially when the establishment is being trusted to handle high value and sentimental items. This is unfortunately what we experienced at Crestwood Shoe Repair. The lack of communication and care for my shoes was not acceptable and truly upsetting. The condition in which I got my shoes back was horrific and the worst part is that the employee who was assisting me made it his mission to hide the condition when handing back my item. What I have experienced makes me question the "skills" & "customer service" that so many of the positive reviews mentioned and I strongly encourage you to take your items elsewhere if you care about them.
