Best Mexican Food in Monroe We have always liked their food and their service has always been exceptional. Today I went out on a limb and ordered something totally new. Filete Relleno. Two fish filets fried and sandwiched between....grilled shrimp. It came the rice and veggies but I substituted the charro beans for rice. Have mercy. Probably the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant in Ouachita parish. I hope they can manage to stay open. Business was somewhat slow today, maybe due to holidays. Highly recommended. read more

We found this place on the road traveling to Texas we stopped for lunch based on its locality from the highway. The ambiance is authentic and very clean. The service was exceptionally friendly and very attentive to our needs. (Thank you Jennifer:)The food was delicious and generous portions. We ordered a side of the refried pinto beans that brought that nostalgic flavor of how grandma used to make them. The pork carnitas were excellent! They also have some of the best salsa in the country. Highly recommend this place.

the last two times I ordered the Southwest Egg Rolls they were mushy and under cooked. When I ordered them on DoorDash today I asked that they cook them properly. They sent them undercooked again. Plius FoorDash only wanted to refund me $5.00, that was the drivers tip. read more

Chips are unsalted salsa is very bland and has zero spice I rank it a 2.8/10. Service is good and food came out very fast. Beans that came with my burrito are tasty I give them a 5.7/10. I got the chipotle burrito and it is very tasty the avocado is a little over powering but I give it an 7.8/10. My gf got chicken and rice it's nothing special but it's not bad I give it a 4.3. The fried ice cream blew my socks off it was the first time I've ever had fried ice cream so I have nothing to compare it to but I give it a 9/10. I'm sorry I didn't get more pictures I didn't think about it until I was half way done with the entree. I give it an overall score of 4 stars because of how fast the service was how good the ice cream was and the burrito and and beans the chips and chicken were the only things that kept this from being a five star. I have officially found my taco home in Monroe, LA! This is the place you need to get Vitamin T- tacos, tortas, tortillas and tamales. The asada street tacos were very flavorful and the vegetables were fresh. Nice char on the steak. but juicy at the same time. The tortillas were smaller than I usually eat, but everything stayed intact. The a la crate fried tamale was absolutely delightful with a generous helping of cheese dip on top. The guacamole had the perfect balance of ingredients giving it a consistent taste and texture. The cheese dip was excellent as well. Next time, I want to try the torta that way I get the full vitamin T experience. The service was good. Everyone in my clan got the correct food and all sang high praises of their meals. My only complaint was that I wanted Juan more bite of each item. I hope this establishment continues to live long and prosper! read more
