My friend was excited to bring me here because she loves their ceviche. We were greeted right away with a friendly staff and service was quick. Me and my fiancé have been coming to Azul Tequila since we moved here in October. We have always loved it because the bartenders have supposedly been honest with specific questions about the menu and alterations associated with menu items. I have been vegan for 20+ years and the bartenders we've had in the past have given us menu options. My fiancé eats meat, so nothing is an issue for him. I asked about the salsa the first time I went there, because chicken bullion is used in certain salsas sometimes. The bartender said it did not have any. So I have been eating it for months. Which is highly against my belief systems and I get extremely sick. When I went there today I ate the salsa again, and I asked the bartender working if it had chicken bullion. She asked the kitchen and they said yes. I was lied to for months based off of employees either not caring, or not knowledgeable. I would not trust anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions to go here. They have a lack of organization when it comes to actually caring and being accurate if someone has questions. They do not know, so they lie. As a restaurant being on the square, near the Walton Museum, this is highly unprofessional. We spent $100 + there and I did not touch my supposedly vegan burrito. Would not recommend for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions, at all. I've worked in restaurants for 15 years, and this is highly unacceptable. If they don't want to alter their menu, then say that, don't lie. Especially in an environment with so many tourists, it is embarrassing. Will not be returning. read more

I came here on a Thursday with some coworkers. We came pretty early and had reservations for 10 people. We sat upstairs which was very spacious and had a large table to accomodate us. They served individual chips and salsa that was complimentary and also gave lots of refills. Unfortunately I filled up on the free chips and salsa and didn't get to fully enjoy my chimichanga meal, which was delicious, even though I only managed a few bites. I'd give this place a 3.5 but since that's not an option I couldn't quite move them to a 4. Love the location right in the square. Be sure to pop across the street to the ice cream truck after for dessert. We were seated quickly on the upper level. Service was proficient and pretty fast. Our waiter was friendly and the place wasn't too noisy or crowded at 6 on a Tuesday. All food and drinks were average in my opinion, with the exception that the guacamole was really think and chunky the way I like it. I had flautas, but wouldn't reorder. Good Mexican food at decent prices (house margarita for $7!) The hot salsa is excellent so be sure to ask for that one! Compared to this one, the mild reminded me of tomato sauce. Portions are large so you won't leave feeling hungry and likely will need a to go box. The avocado tacos were tasty as were the rice and beans. The place was not very busy on a Tuesday an hour before closing time and our server, Juan, was nice. The chicken enchilada was really good, the beef sope would've have been better if the beef had flavor, the beans and rice didn't have much flavor either. Chips and salsa bowls came out promptly, followed by drinks--except my husband's beer, but the waitress returned to apologize for the delay, and it soon arrived. Our meals came out pretty quickly. I had the taco salad with shredded chicken, and it was really good. Chicken is such a basic thing but it's so easy to serve dry and flavorless, and this was great. My teenage son ordered the flautas; he didn't expect, as he put it, "there to be a salad on top," but he scraped off the lettuce and toppings and still liked the flautas. I had part of one, too, and it was incredibly good. My husband enjoyed his beef street tacos, and my mother-in-law enjoyed her food, too; she's a local but had never been there before. Favorite Mexican restaurant in NWA. We love the chicken mole enchiladas. So their fajitas are great as well as the chicken flautas.

I must say I was surprised how good our meal was late on a Saturday at Azul Tequila. The decor is a little worn with ripped booths and scratched tables but don't let that discourage you. The chips are fresh and they offer both a house and spicy salsa. Enjoyed the shrimp enchiladas (toasty warm and shrimp cooked to perfection) and shrimp chimichanga (crunchy with yummy toppings such as guacamole). Service was nice and prompt. $$ read more

It always makes me laugh when I see the razorback fajitas on the menu. The fajitas are a mixture of steak, chicken, and shrimp. Staff asked me how's the food and I exclaimed it's very salty, another employee on break was eating the same thing and said it was salty as well.
