My colleague got tacos for his dinner
    Patrick P.

We were in town for a meeting at the largest employer in NW Arkansas, I'm sure you can guess who that is. When we arrived at the hotel late, we wanted to grab a quick dinner and I had eaten at an Abuelo's in Orlando many times. Felt like that was a solid choice for us since we knew it was not a gamble. Rick was our server and he was helpful and friendly. He brought out their trio of salsas with hot tortilla chips that felt like they were made minutes before. Not sure if they are, but they did taste fantastic! I love their queso here, and they had a Diablo one that I hadn't had before but we decided to get the dip trio- queso, Diablo queso, and guacamole. What an epic decision! They came with more tortilla chips but also chicharrones which was sturdier and could hold up to the thicker Diablo queso and guacamole. I couldn't stop eating the salsa and dips. I chose to get a combination plate, with an enchilada, taco, and tamale. Rick mentioned they had a mashed potato side that was tasty- not expected for a Mexican restaurant but I decided to take the recommendation. Rick came through, honestly I could've eaten just the dips and potatoes and had been super happy about it. I overate, which was a problem but in a good way because I fell asleep immediately after we got back to the hotel. We were doing a crazy travel week where we were in 5 states, two countries for meetings, so not a lot of rest. It's part of a chain but this one was clean, friendly, with great execution on the food. Rick was clutch with more salsa and chips which in the end was my undoing but I didn't care. Visit here and make sure you try their dips, and the mashed potato side which may have been one of the best things I had all week. Dead serious! The next time I go I'm going to ask for no rice and beans and just get these crazy mashed potatoes. Thank you Rick and Abuelo's for reminding me that every now and then, going to eat at a chain spot is still a good thing.

Always great food and great service! Love that you are able to order cheese enchiladas and tacos la cart.

First of all, we love the atmosphere! Staff is always pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and out, including the bathrooms! There is something for everyone on the menu! You can order a la cart, or even share a dish or two...and did I mention the desserts?! They are so good and big enough to share! We love the tres leche cake! WOW! You always get plenty of food...usually enough to take home for another meal! Complimentary chips and 3 dipping salsas are always a hit! Now for Mexican food, it is a bit pricey, but overall it's a great family place to enjoy some yummy food and good company!

First off a place that calls itself a Mexican Restaurant Embassy is pretty darn pretentious. Perhaps that is why it feels it can charge what I found to be some of the highest prices for typical Mexican fare at a chain restaurant. We skipped the drinks since they had no prices for any of them - really annoying. The complimentary chips and the salsa sampler were very good. We both ordered the two piece enchilada platter. I got the cheese and beef and my wife the chicken and avocado enchiladas. All were very tasty. One nit - I did not like that they pretty much mixed the rice into the refried beans which made it hard to separate them (I did not care to eat all of the beans). Our server was friendly and efficient. This was a good choice given the typical chain options that were in the neighborhood of our hotel.

Yes, a tray carrying robot at Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant, Rogers

Fancy and not cheap Mexican food with a glossy menu and lots of Americanized items listed. Service was super friendly as I was early for my dinner meeting and spent a half hour at the bar with a beer where the bartender brought me warm chips and their three salsas while I waited. It wasn't busy but I did their call-ahead seating and it did a great job of keeping me informed and texted when the table was ready. We were seated in a corner booth that was quite comfortable. A friendly waiter took our orders and brought drinks. Dinner didn't take too long to be prepared and was served with help from a tray-carrying robot. Pretty slick! Enchiladas in rachero sauce and served with what they call "Papas con Chile" but is basically spicy mashed potatoes. The plate was tasty and definitely hot from the broiler. Overall, a filling meal and I enjoyed the company. I'd eat here again. [Review 19791 overall - 268 in Arkansas - 763 of 2023.]

I was seated at the bar which I don't normally like. However, I came when it was busy and I didn't feel like waiting. The red salsa here is really good. I loved the tomato salsa. You can taste the peppers that were ground up in the salsa and it had just the right amount of heat. The green Chile salsa was good too. Though I thought it has a little sugar in it which was ok I ordered the three beef tamales with refried beans and cilantro lime rice. The three tamales were excellent. They were a little small but the texture of the beef was smooth and ground up. I actually liked the texture. It also had just the right amount of heat. What I didn't like was that they melted cheese over the top, which made them dry. However, I put that amazing salsa over the top of it which made them taste really good! I think if this has some enchilada or Chile verde sauce on top it would take it to another level. I wasn't a fan of the Chile lime rice or the refried beans. They just didn't go with my tamales. Overall I think this place was pretty good and I would try something else on their menu.

It was my first time here a couple of weeks ago and I was wowed right when I walked in the door. I loved the aesthetic of the place. It feels like you're in a courtyard in Playa Del Carmen! They have a huge menu, but I was excited to try the dip trio which included queso, salsa and guacamole. Their spicy salsa was fantastic!! I ordered the vegetarian chile rellenos and was so happy with my choice. This is a spot I will remember when I come back often. Such great food and amazingly friendly staff.

I ordered this and it was smothered in cheese sauce.
    Cindy L.

I ordered the Fajita Chimichanga and it looked nothing like the picture in the menu , it was smothered in cheese sauce and very bland. The beans were very dry like they were a fee days old, Albueno's has been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Rogers for several years but is now at the bottom of my list. sorry to say. I probably will not be returning.

Overload of cream cheese sauce over enchiladas at times. It should not cover all 4 different enchiladas.

It seemed like it was a little pricey for a Mexican restaurant $8.50 for a tap beer. The food was OK.

We had nice and attentive service. I ordered the Santa Monica club, which is actually a wrap. But was delicious and was able to swap out my side of fries for the Esquites which were also good. My husband ordered the pork tacos with black beans and rice, also delicious. Very pleased with this choice. And it's in a lovely setting right on the town square.

Literally across the street from the very first Walmart (Walton's), and whether you love 'em or hate 'em, it's pretty cool history. The food, you ask? Fabulous!!! The chips were homemade and crispy, with the house salsa being fabulous, we got their HOT salsa as well, which was super flavorful, but certainly not hot. Of course we started with Margaritas (The Hollywood), which infused pineapple into the drink and I could have downed 5. Had to drive back to the hotel, so one was sufficient. Yum! I had the Curry Chicken Burrito... what???! Curry in a burrito?? Incredible!! My compadre had some sort of chicken tostada thing that was also a hit. The ambience was upscale modern, but not too flashy with plenty of room between the tables. A gigantic thanks to Rosa for turning the 4.5 stars into 5! She was friendly, funny and efficient with a smile that brightened the night! Highly recommended if you are in Bentonville, Arkansas! Cheers

The high ceilings and plenty of light along with comfortable seating helped create a welcoming atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and personable. As for the food: we tried a carne asada burrito, avocado tacos, and al cilantro enchiladas which included freshly made rice and refried black beans and a fresh salad. Everything was delicious. All of the ingredients were fresh. The food was well seasoned and beautifully presented on the plate. We greatly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend this restaurant.

TLDR - don't go!…read more First sign this wasn't going to be a great restaurant... how many words do I need to look up to read the menu? One is too many and I'd say more like 5 here! Random words with no explanation- one word I never found a translation for. Here are examples you might want to look them up in advance LOL: Palatero: Cochinita Pibil: Campestre; Esquites Maybe you know these words. I did not. Maybe I could have asked but we were already being given attitude. The waitress started acting like we were a burden from the first interaction- a request for water with no ice (they bring ice water to the table on the first trip - I'm not sure how it's MY fault that I don't like ice - but the huff and rolled eyes were my clue to her annoyance). Confusion at ordering - one of my companions wanting clarification- even pointing to what they wanted and asking questions. The waitress was obviously already frustrated and instead of explaining and making sure everything was clear just walked away. Items came but didn't match what was ordered and the pushback included a huffy manager. Finally got what was ordered but.... Now to the food- cheese dip was ok but certainly not worthy of the price. Rice and beans were fine. But the Bland guacamole was an insult to the avocado. The chips are hard and too thick. Perhaps stale too? They do a dip sampler - emphasis on sampler as there might be 2 Tablespoons of each dip! The worst dish was the tortilla soup. Pros - lots of chicken. Cons - very bland! A little too much heat but no flavor, no seasoning. Most tortilla soups have some freshness - cilantro, maybe some pico de gallo or at least some diced tomato. Nope, chicken, cheese, chips and some crema drizzled over the top. Soooooo - staff that acted like they were doing us a favor. Food that was just better than edible, The highlight? The decor is nice. Ok - NW Arkansas does not have a lot of great Mexican places. Or Tex Mex. But this place is permanently off my list! Too pricey, bad food and rude staff!
