This company is now called Mavrix Data. I have completed a few studies with them, and they have always paid. Sometimes they pay quickly, and sometimes they pay slowly. However, recently, they booked me for an in-person study, then they cancelled at the last minute. They told me they would reschedule, and they never rescheduled. In addition, they asked me to refer friends for a toy research online survey. The survey was supposed to pay $25, but they paid my referral only $20. Rather than correct the mistake, they delayed paying her the remaining $5 for about 6 weeks. They acknowledged they they owed $5, but they gave various excuses to delay payment. It was only $5 but the principle is important. After many emails, they finally paid the $5. It was only $5. Why delay a $5 payment? We participants do our part, we are on time for them, and the research company should also do its part. read more

I am filing a formal fraud complaint against Mavrix Data and its representative, Minh Doan, for deceptive business practices, "ghosting," and refusal to pay for contracted work completed. I was hired to participate in a "Travel Study" managed by Mavrix Data. The study was scheduled to run through the last week of May, requiring 30-60 minutes of work per week. On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Project Coordinator, Minh Doan, sent me an email explicitly confirming that I had successfully completed the required tasks for that week. He stated: "I have some good news! From the client's end, they confirmed with me that you have completed all of the tasks for this week, nothing else is needed from your end." However, Mavrix Data failed to provide me with the necessary login credentials to continue the study. Between May 8 and May 12, I sent three separate emails and made a phone call requesting the login information so I could continue working, as well as an update on my status. After extracting my labor and data for the initial completed tasks, Mavrix Data ceased all communication. They completely "ghosted" me. On May 14, 2026, I sent a final notice demanding communication and compensation, which was also ignored. Mavrix Data operated under false pretenses to obtain free labor/data from me. I am owed $150.00 for the work that they acknowledged and confirmed as completed on May 8. I've done 2 marketing research studies and they do not pay as they promise. The first time, 3-7 business days turned into 3 weeks. Now, I've surpassed the 3-7 business day window and don't know when I will get my payout for completing the recent marketing study. I really don't appreciate being misled (lied to) about when I will receive my compensation. If they would be upfront, I would appreciate the honesty. I was contacted out of the blue by this company for a business related review. I advised I was too busy but cld do so over the weekend. The person pushed and advised it would only take me 10min to do so I did a quick google search and saw they were a legit company so took the timr out to do their review. 10 days later they are stalling about payment (via paypal) firstly saying they never got my response with preferred payment method, then saying they missed last rounds payments considering I was just replying to their original email is off. I own a market research agency and was asked to carry out a review. They offered low quality tools and very poor guidelines they were very pushy and didnt act at all on feedback, they changed the direction of the study a 5 days before the fieldwork ended and after they asked to do more visits they asked to pause the fieldwork two days before the agreed time line and denied to pay for surveys that were scheduled within the limit for obscure reasons. Their attitude was unethical and unprofessional, calling names and being very offensive. Stay away. read more
