Expect to stand in line, but worth the wait. Friendly and family run service. The meatballs were so light and flavorful. Highly recommend! The Arribiatta had just the right amount of spice and the gnocchi was excellent. We saw many plates of lasagna being served and it looked delicious! Quaint interior and slightly intimate ambiance.

We went on the earlier side, and I'm glad we did. The line got sooo long after we got seated. But once the food started coming we understood why. Everything was delicious. We ordered pizza, lasagna, meatball, ravioli, bruschetta, burrata, and T-bone. Everything was delicious. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the T-bone that needed a little bit of salt and was a bit overdone for my husband's taste. Otherwise, we were extremely happy to have dined there. The staff was also very kind, and their mascot, Nino, was pretty funny!

Loved it so much that we came back for a second meal! Not only is the food superb but it is a family owned restaurant where the people are so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very homey and all the dishes are beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

The wait is worth every moment! We had the meatballs (best in Italy) and I had the cacio e pepe which was mouth watering! The place is adorable inside and out.

Was in Italy in September 2025. Azz! is located on the main street in Sorrento, Italy. If you happen to be visiting Sorrento for a few days and are not sure where to eat, this place is a MUST! The food is fresh, homemade, and made with care and love. The owner is really kind and made sure my parents and I were taken care of. There is a bit of a wait in line if you're going to have dinner here, and that really speaks to how good the food is here. I had the Parmesan Alfredo pasta, my mom had the Gnocchi (which I typically don't eat, but specific dish was just soooo delicious!) and my Dad had a fish dish of some sort that I can't remember. It was all really tasty and I wish I had taken a picture of the food! We were seated outside and the vibe makes you feel like you're eating a home cooked meal.

The lasagna special was fantastic. We ordered the garlic bread and caprise salad and both were excellent. Staff was friendly and prompt. Would highly recommend

Azz! Is a small restaurant just off the main drag through the town of Sorrento, Italy. We'd heard a lot of positive things about the place, so we decided to go and check the place out for dinner. When we got there, we realized how small it was, and there was already a small line outside, waiting to be seated. It's rare that I'd line up for food, but I was on holiday and was keeping my initial chances of food in Sorrento high for quality. After a 15mins wait, myself and my two sons were seated. We browsed the menu, which was small but had decent variety. As we looked through the choices of food, a small dog was mulling around the restaurant. It had a sign on it, which said not to feed it (still not sure if it was the owners dog, or some rando off the street). My boys loved trying to get its attention as it passed near our table. In the menu, it pointed out that everything is cooked fresh, so there'll be a longer wait than most places. Please look elsewhere if you want something quick. I'd take that as a good sign. I ordered the Pappardelle ai Funghi Porchini, basically a very wide, thin pasta with a mushroom sauce. One of my boys ordered the Margherita pizza, the other a simple grilled chicken breast and side potatoes. I was surprised at the punch of the mushroom flavour of the sauce, and the pasta was cooked just right. I was very tasty. The son who ordered the Pizza, really enjoyed his, too. Coming to the end days of our trip, he recalled this as being the best pizza he had ever tasted We enjoyed Azz! so much, that we returned again a few days later. It was the only restaurant that we visited twice during our stay in Sorrento. The second time I tried the Penne all'Arrabbiata...which was tomatoey and spicy sauce with penne pasta. Another simple, but very tasty dish. I'd suggest getting there early in the day, say 3 or 4 for dinner, as it can get busy from 6pm onwards. Well worth a visit, and merits it's good scores and reviews.

Kick Azz food!!!! No but for real, we had the gnocchi, caprese salad and calabrese pizza...I wanted to lick eat plate clean! The food was full of flavor, not heavy at all. Rich, clean flavors! Love that it's a family owned business. The mom and daughter take orders and bring out food and the dad cooks. Oh and their cute dog is the best greeter! Loved eating here and will definitely be back for more!

We have been in Italy for 10 days and we have eaten some good Italian food but this was by far the best. I just had a simple penne and red arribiatta sauce but it was absolutely perfect. My little boy gave his chicken a 10 out of 10 and ate the entire thing which is unheard of. What an amazing meal!

My husband and I returned to Sorrento from a long day trip. We were tired and didn't have any reservations. We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant that had seating indoors and outdoors. That sat us right away. We shared our meal because we had a big lunch in the Amalfi Coast. I ordered the Italian Vine tomato soup and it was delicious. The flavor of the tomatoes with the mixture of seasoning and cheese was just what I wanted. We shared the meatballs which were flavorful and tender. The sauce that covered them was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe. The sauce was rich and delicious my husband had the lasagna and it was so good. Sometimes you can get lasagna and it's dry. Not this place! I would definitely come back to this place. The service was great and the restaurant was a great find.

This was my first dinner stop in Sorrento and it set the bar high! I waited about 20-30 minutes, but it was totally worth it. The carbonara pizza with a Coke was hearty and delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for people-watching. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is in a back alley and made for a private experience. We had three servers taking care of us and making sure we were enjoying our dining experience. The focaccia was better than any I have had. It had fresh veggies and the olive oil blended the flavors perfectly. I had the lasagna, not as good as mine at home but delicious. My daughter had the special, a lemon shrimp pasta. She said it was heavy on the lemon but fresh and delightful. I would recommend the restaurant if you have time to slow down and enjoy your food. We didn't have dessert because the serving size was just right.

To make it worse the manager tries to argue that you ate both and need to pay. Challenging since all the staff saw the waiter take it back. The waiter then corrected the bill, but the damage was done. Being insulted and called a liar is poor hospitality. Simply avoid, the positive reviews must be fake. A table of 4 next to us got up after no one went to them, after waiting for 15-20 minutes. They went across the street- wish I did the same. Incredibly awful experience. From food, to rude and ignorant staff, to bugs all over. A must miss place.

There are other items in the menu ranging from pizza to panini to some anti pasta. id Stick with the drinks, espress, gelato and pastry. Having visited multiple places in Italy and Sicily the last time, this place stood out as one of the favorite spots on our trip. Of course we had to stop by again, and we were not disappointed. When in Sorrento, lemon pasta is a must, but I have the say that the true star was La Genovese pasta, which was recommended by our server. My husband still liked lemon pasta best, which means you really can't go wrong. Their bread was also delicious, particularly the white bread and the breadsticks, and they give you balsamic vinegar and olive oil for it. Considering most of the bread we had in Italy was surprisingly disappointing, it's exciting to eat somewhere that the food is good from start to finish. They also gave us one scoop of limoncello and one scoop of lemon gelato for dessert. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the lemon gelato. This is our second time back, and we would not hesitate to eat here again the next time we're in Sorrento. Servers were also friendly and helpful. The food does take a while, but that goes to show that it all is freshly made. This place is great whether it's for a casual dining experience or for date night. They also have free WiFi, just ask them for the info. I love that it's also a family establishment, and family members work at the restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.
