He showed us how we would be painting our bears, and left us to it so we could enjoy our time together, but still nearby for any questions we might have. I only wish we had the time to do the blacklight session, but sadly it didn't work out for us this time. We really enjoyed our session! At first, I didn't think it would take 45 minutes to paint the bear, but that is exactly the perfect amount of time you will need. Something to keep in mind is that you will need to leave your bear at the studio to dry to be picked up in 15 days (he will email you once ready), so don't expect to bring it home same day. Autumn and her daughter were so kind to even offer to blow up some balloons for the birthday occasion. One of the other perks of this event was that you can bring whatever you want to eat and drink, which made the night even more special. My high school best friends went all out, catering my favorite Filipino dish, Pancit Palabok, alongside their own delicious culinary appetizers like steak crostini. Since I was celebrating such a milestone birthday, my friends from all walks of life contributed to the potluck feast. We also had Korean Kimbap, Greek hummus & chips, flaky Baklava, creamy Leche Flan, and so much more. The mix of flavors, cultures, and homemade dishes made the night feel even more personal and heartwarming. It was great coming back to Westwood Village which brought me instant memories while I was at UCLA. There is something definitely vibrant about Westwood Village and I love feeling its energy. I do have to give the biggest shoutout to the amazing owner, Autumn Flynn, who was so patient with all of us. She walked us through the step by step process of painting the "Inner Goddess within Ourselves," which made the experience so great. The instructor goes through the whole process in the beginning, but we couldn't hear much because of another group that was in another section. The acoustics of the place does not play well with multiple parties having conversations. However, the instructor was kind enough to answer our questions and assist with our mistakes. After you make your bowl, you get to choose different colors. You will not get your end product until several weeks. Overall, it was a great experience which is what you are paying for (not for my amateur oddly shaped bowl!).

Not sure why unwind.studio lists them as a Stockist but alas, it was great to finally have a reason to check this place out. It is a maker's collective so there are various forms of art available for purchase. But, also, they have a variety of classes that I am definitely going to explore their schedule because I am interested in the Dubai Chocolate Bar class and candle making, among others.
