They are as good as it gets. We just received a preview of our wedding album and it takes my breath away! Can't wait to get the final album. No doubt is Azzura the best photographer in Wa. I've promised Tania from Azzura to write a truthful review for them because she had done so much and such a great job for our wedding photography on July 12, 2014! so... where do I start? In short: Choosing Azzura Photography as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we've made for our wedding, and the money were so well spent and what we got from them are so much worthy of the money! long version: we are a couple from China, I been here for 8 years and my fiancée has been here for 4 years. we knew each since 2012 and we decided to get married in July this year. And we decided to do a wedding in Seattle, where we knew each other and currently living. we could say we knew very little about how to plan and prepare for a wedding when we started in the beginning of this year (2014). we don't have families in US that could give us advice or share their experience. and we did not have close friends who got married in US either so we were basically did not how how to start! we went to the Seattle wedding show in Seattle convention center in January ( if I remembered it correctly) hoping to get a sense of how to plan a wedding ... but we ended up collecting a few gadgets/swags and a lot of brochures for all kind of services ... but we did not really got the essence of how we could started planning our wedding. and I wished I had stopped by Azzura's booth and got a chance talking to Tania at that time. if we had been able to hired Azzura earlier, then we would have a much easier job in our whole wedding planning. but anyway, we did not do anything after the wedding show, and we started finding a venue for our wedding at the end of February. after more than 1 months of searching , we did find our place, a nice church for the ceremony and a nice water front restaurant for our reception. but it was really stressful and a lot of comparisons and it was tough job. if we've hired Tania from Azzura before we started searching for a location, I am sure we would find a more "picture-perfect" place with her suggestion. anyway. after securing the venue, we started shopping for our photographer. we asked around our friends, and search online (from weddingwire, from yelp etc) , and called almost every studios from the wedding show catalog we've got. there were just too many choices - and some of them were booked at the date we chose, we ended up narrow down to 5 ~ 6 of them. and Azzura was in the shortlist. after we sent the links of their works to our various friends and family members to gather feedback, we got a lot more votes for Azzura - to quote some of our family members/friends' feedback - "Azzura's pictures tell the store vividly" , "I think Azzura has better sense of the whole surrounding for the picture", "look at the light, it feel so classy and so natural..." anyway, we talked to Tania over the phone, met with her once between we decided to hire her. I have to say, comparing to many photographers (including one who were from Hong Kong - considering as our own people) we've talked to, Tania just feel right and very professional. Tania is the co-owner of Azzura Photography Studio (another owner is her husband), they were both professional photographers before they met more than 10 years ago and owned their own studio already (it was a concern to me that some studio owned by a couple, only one of them are originally a photographer and the other just learned to do that under the coaching of the other) . Tania won a lot of awards with her own works. After we started working with Tania, we got so much help and advice from her. We are like from almost knew nothing and had no clue what the proceeding it would be like for our wedding to knowing almost every details. Tania told us everything, she suggested the timeline for us, shared with us a lot of connections and resources to choose from whenever we need a referral (and she was not concerned about whether we hire those or not - because her goal was to help us not to make money for her connections). Thank God we hired Tania! Everybody in our families love her! even the guest were very impressive by her. She came 15 minutes early in our wedding day and leave later then the time we have paid for. She is very energetic and ending up we getting so many photos in the hours of coverage we've paid for - which are so much more beyond our expectation! All of our guest are Chinese, and our whole wedding were carried out in Chinese; Tania were quite experienced with Asian wedding and that did not cause a problem to her (she told us that a high percentage of her clients are Asian). and of course ,the most important thing, we love our photos!!! Not only are our wedding photos beyond gorgeous, Ken from Azzura went above and beyond on our wedding day. They were by far the best vendor that we worked with. They are worth every penny! The day of Ken and Amber were prepared, organized, & kept everyone moving. They took the perfect combination of traditional photos and candids, while always checking in to see if there was anything else that they could do. Ken put me at ease in what was an overwhelming situation and made it fun and enjoyable which shines through our photos. AMAZING! So I'm a little unorthodox: I'm writing a review before I see the final product. We won't see our photos for another month, but I was so blown away by the experience we had with Tania and Stephanie on our wedding day that I had to write a review. I knew I wanted to pay whatever it took to get a great photographer for our wedding because I have a very long history of taking very bad photographs. Azzura is one of the photographers we had been gawking at in all of the wedding magazines, so I reached out to them thinking it was a long shot, but at least I'd try. We booked Azzura two years ago, and shortly after we discovered we were expecting our second child. They were very patient and allowed us to move our wedding date, and then Tania checked in on us when our date was finally approaching to meet with us and chat about our day. She accommodated our two very young children with patience when we didn't have a sitter for our design meeting, and was able to get through it quickly. We knew every bit what to expect over the coming year, and there were no surprises. Tania even gave me a pep talk on my way out because I seemed nervous about my upcoming wedding. The day of our wedding Tania and her assistant, Stephanie, were right on time. Tania and our wedding planner had already coordinated schedules so that we could get through everything on time, and I never felt rushed or anxious about the time throughout the day. There were a lot of photos. The cameras were always going. I felt a bit like a movie star. Every now and again she'd make comments on how excited she was for the photos or she'd show me one that she had captured that she thought I would like. She made me feel confident and at ease in front of the camera, which is not something I have EVER been. She flattered me endlessly, but not in an insincere way. She genuinely seemed pleased with the way everything was going. :) She is GREAT with kid photos, making our two sons laugh and getting through the family photos extremely quickly (our family was late to the venue and arrived JUST before the ceremony). They even made our families feel the love; my mom told me about how great Tania had been with her as well. Tania always seemed to be there when I walked into a room, ready to snap the next important moment of the wedding. Having two photographers meant that they were literally always in two places at once and I can't WAIT to see what they were able to capture. I felt like I had a friend there with me, cheering me on throughout the day and making me feel my most beautiful. I have no doubt that our images will be absolutely stunning, and I'm pretty sure I'll be booking Tania again in the future to capture other big moments in our life. Azzura photography was worth every penny we spent and Tania and Stephanie absolutely MADE the entire experience magical for us. Believe the hype! You won't regret it! read more

This review has been long overdue but I feel so strongly about this company, I should write it just the same. In my opinion, Azzura is one of the best wedding photographers in the area and worth every cent! Our experience was nothing short of perfect with them. We had an unusual winter wedding and Ken was the perfect match for us. He handled everything from making sure I was personally taken care of, quickly organizing large family groups, photographing our guests' sleigh rides, and being able to ski while snapping pictures of my husband and I skiing down the hill in our wedding attire. Another positive about Ken and Tania (owners) is you will always have one of them as your lead photographer. This is much different than some other companies who have a pool of photographers who you may or may not have a choice in who is shooting your wedding. They truly were our favorite vendor and captured all the moments in our wedding beautifully. It would not have been the same with anyone else. My heart will always have a special place for Azzura Photography. From the first interaction with Tania, I knew she was the one who would make our day one that we could remember 50 years from now by capturing our memories so beautifully. She called me on the phone to discuss photography options and I can't even tell you the positive impression she left from that very first greeting. Most vendors responded by email. SHe picked up the phone and called! It set the bar for the entire experience. Communications were outstanding throughout the entire process and her recommendations were so professional and made all the difference in this experience for us. We managed to squeeze into a cancellation Tania had (we planned our wedding impossibly late), and could not be happier with our pictures! We held the ceremony on a tiny platform on the edge of a hillside - which meant that there was no place for them to stand - and we only invited ten people. Despite the challenging setting, they managed to catch fantastic shots of us and our families without once breaking the intimacy of the ceremony. We love the shots she got of everyone, making perfect use of a beautiful sunset. Watching the slideshow for the first time absolutely took our breath away. Tania and company were a pleasure to work with every step of the way, and we couldn't have asked for more beautiful reminders of our wedding day. We chose Azzura Photography to do our wedding photos for our wedding June 9, 2012. My (now) husband is a professional photographer, so photography was probably the most important to us. Azzura Photography has the best reviews in Seattle and was voted as the best photographer in Seattle, and my husband said their photos really proved that. I was unable to attend the initial meeting with them. When he returned from Tania's house he could not stop talking about how amazing their pictures and albums were! He always has some type of critique for other photographers, but he loved them. So we chose them for our wedding. We probably spent 30% of our total budget on photography - that's the Satin Package (we decided to upgrade to get the photo book and full rights CD) + 9.5% tax + (optional) tip + extra pages for the photo book. You must realize going in, that they are not a low budget wedding photographer. But I do think you get what you pay for. And actually, we did shop around in the Seattle area a little, and a lot of the professional photographers run around that price range. It's hard to find a lower priced, good photographer. Anyways! Tania was fantastic to work with. She was super friendly and personable, which makes her fun to work with. She makes you feel like a model! She gives you tons of positive feed back while taking photos. She'll say "Beautiful" "Gorgeous" "Perfect" so you really feel encouraged to keep on going, even though you really are getting tired :P She's great with children. When they are pouty, she's not afraid at being a little silly to make them smile. She knows some great tricks so you get more natural beautiful photos. She was patient with me (who was stressing at times) and with the family. She was very organized and worked well with the vendors and both our families. She was also super flexible, which I REALLY appreciated. She let me change one part of the package (the engagement shoot which we couldn't use) for something else that we did need - more hours and a couple more pages in our book. She had fast turn around for pictures, in about 3 weeks they called us to set up our appointment for the premiere show. We are very glad we went with Azzura Photography. We really loved our photographs. I think I have only 2 criticisms. The first is the meetings. Tania asks for two meetings before the wedding, then the Premiere show after the wedding, then if you get a photo book, 1 more meeting to pick it up. Tania lives in Eastgate and I'm coming from Seattle, so it was a little frustrating arranging that at times. Because Tania works weekends, she was not available to meet Friday-Sunday, and I did not want to cross the bridge during rush hour after work, so we had to meet during the morning or afternoon. It may be easier to meet with her after 5pm if you live on the Eastside, but for us it was not. We made it work out though, and did not have to miss too much work (I work part time). It's just something to realize, since she holds her meetings at her house, it can be a little inconvenient if you are working full time. The second criticism, some people may not see as a problem. She gave us over 1500 photos, and a lot of those photos were so similar you couldn't tell the difference from one to another. I feel like it helps the average Joe a little bit by taking out those repeats, but that's my opinion. It makes picking out photos for your album slightly easier, and picking out photos for FB. She said she left nearly all the photos in, unless there were a weird face or something, because there may be some significance to us that they don't know. But, I feel like some narrowing down can be useful. Anyways, I would definitely recommend them to a friend. I love that we have all rights to our pictures, so I can make as many photo albums or prints for my friends or family as I want. She also gives you a thumb drive with watermarked lower resolution photos for FB, which is also pretty cool :D So you can get those uploaded ASAP. And she posts them online for a few weeks as well. So you have many viewing options. They are very professional in the end, and I loved working with them. read more

Without exaggerating, every single venue we checked out for our wedding had an Azzura photograph to showcase their weddings. After seeing his gorgeous work on the 10th one, we told ourselves we HAD to get him to do our wedding. After seeing our own pictures, we are SO thrilled we were able to get him! First of all, the quality of the pictures was amazing. He would take a few pictures and then show it to us, and each one looked amazing, even before touch ups! He would scout out locations around the venues, and would always find the perfect lighting and landscape... It was perfect! When I posted one picture online all of our friends started asking who had taken them, so that they could contact him, too. Secondly, he was very easy to work with, both during the shoots and during the meetings. He had our family and friends laughing and smiling during the whole shoot and then had us natural, comfortable, and smiling brightly for our personal shots! During the meetings he was professional and courteous and SO knowledgable... We had no idea what we were doing, but had bad experiences with other photographers in the past. He smiled knowingly and said it wouldn't be a problem, and then suggested a ton of helpful ideas. He was great!! Finally, he made the wedding itself flow so smoothly! We would have been lost without him (and I mean that literally because we had the wedding on the weekend when they closed 405 and the 520 bridge). He drove my wife and I through traffic in his own Tahoe to make sure we got the pictures we wanted and then made it to the reception with plenty of time. Then he helped guide the reception itself to make sure we got all the pictures and event schedule like cake cutting, garter toss, bouquet toss, etc. He was invaluable on our wedding day, and might as well have been our personal wedding coordinator as well as the photographer, and was SO kind and friendly during the whole thing. In short, Azzura has state-of-art, professional user experience. Just as our wedding planner Wendy promised, we got the best photography for our wedding. :-) Though our other vendors were all beyond our expectations, I would say Azzura ranks #1 among our entire wedding experience. In short, this is the best investment we made for our wedding. We were thinking to hire both photographer from craigslist or somewhere offering deals because we were pretty tight on budget. But then we learned that photography should count 30% of the wedding budget, because it is THE MOST IMPORTANT artifact that may even outlast our memory. We decided to cut off on other aspects and, rely our big day on real PROFESSIONAL hands. We're glad that we made the correct choice! Hiring Azzura is not just about getting pictures taken. It is getting us confident and comfortable, not missing any little moment or corner that could be a scene, thoughtful help and tips throughout the session (even prepared energy bars!), and most important, those gorgeous photo works. So here are a couple highlights: Every interactive session (consulting, email, day of wedding session) was professionally structured and streamlined. So every minute with them was worthy. No awkward silence or redundant procedures at all. The technologies (not just referring to the lens) and tools they use are all professional and efficient. Even details like paperwork (forms, portfolio, worksheets, info) were and simple but aesthetically pleasing. They way they introduce customer what to expect, how-to make the session efficient and smooth, The presentation/delivery of the final works (premiere show, archival disks, compressed size for sharing, online album, etc.) was very well-designed and easy to "use". Long before I even got engaged, I knew that I HAD to have "Azzura Photography" shoot my wedding. I had seen Azzura's photos on every Pinterest page, wedding site, and Facebook album, and, as a picture lover (obsessor?) knew that they were the ones for me. As soon as I got engaged, I called Azzura- my first vendor phone call. As fate would have it, the only two dates available were the two that my fiance and I were considering. As soon as I went in for my consultation, "Azzura" became so much more than a company name. It became a team of professionals who demonstrate a clear passion for their work, every step of the way. The moment that Tania welcomed me into her cozy studio, I knew it was a match. We quickly got to chatting about life, love, and everything in between. When it came to wedding talk, it was clear that Tania and her team were leagues above the rest. Yes- they do carry a hefty price tag, but the moment you experience the professionalism and see the portraits of the most amazing day of your life, you will agree that it is well worth the cost. Azzura has been in the game for a long time, and it shows. From consults along the way to getting even the most reluctant subject to take stunning photos (see: my fiance), Tania and team really knock it out of the park. We were fortunate enough to get our engagement pictures done with Tania, as well, and she was able to remember even small details about me and my husband throughout the journey, which made it feel like a truly personalized experience, even with their insane (yet warranted) demand. Come the day of the wedding, Tania and her team were beyond patient, amazing, and perfect! She was punctual (as she was throughout the entire process) and made sure we got to all of our requested pictures, but was flexible and patient as the weather threw us some curve balls. Tania was always thinking on her feet- considering what else could be done to get the very best photos for us. My wedding day was nothing short of perfect, and Tania perfectly captured every single detail of it. We got to enjoy a beautiful slideshow of photographs with our parents after the wedding, and each photograph felt better than the last. Not only did she capture the images, but she captured the energy, love, and fun that surrounded us on our big day. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe our eternal gratitude to Tania and Azzura for giving us the ability to relive our wedding day through these stunning photographs whenever we please. We used Azzura for our engagement photos and wedding. Our photographer Ken was amazing and his assistant were amazing. The photos he took were absolutely beautiful and the album they put together was amazing. We really feel like it tells the story of our wedding day. In addition to the wonderful photos, Ken really went above and beyond. The person who did my make up, pretty much made me look orange and Ken jumped right in to help me fix it, so that it wouldn't look horrible in all of our wedding photos. We were also concerned about the rain and I had to make a split decision about an inside or outside wedding. Ken recommended continuing with the outdoor ceremony and it was the best decision ever! We returned to use them for family photos after the wedding and those were amazing too! He did a great job of getting excellent photos with wiggly two and three year olds in the mix. read more

Tania and Amber covered our wedding at Salish Lodge on 05/24/2014. I had been working with them to plan for almost a year before that to help plan for the day-of. As a somewhat a-typical groom-zilla, I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. Ken and Tania were PHENOMENAL! I was finalizing a business website and needed some professional photos and I couldn't have asked for a better experience working with them both. Ken took hundreds of pictures, moving around to multiple nearby locations looking for the perfect background and lighting. He was extremely professional, and an absolute joy to be around. When it was time to review the pics, Tania took over and walked us through a slide show that was masterfully done. I didn't know a photographer in the area. I had called one solo photographer who seems prominent on the Eastside. It took 2 emails to get his attention. And when we spoke, he said he'd call me back with a day/time for the shoot. But never called back. Oh yeah, he also quoted a price that would have been approx twice that of Azzura's. I'm so happy he never called back. The quality of Ken's pictures and the touch up work by Tania was top shelf; an incredible value. If you are in need of a Seattle/Eastside area photographer, go with Ken & Tania. I knew I was going to write a review for Tania right in the middle of my reception when I was drunk and having a blast and realized how incredibly professional she is. I believe, in my drunken state, that I managed to tell her that I appreciated her professionalism. Our reception was back in August of 2012 and I had forgotten I wanted to write a review for her... what reminded me was seeing the pictures the other night with a few friends... oh my! BEAUTIFUL and breathtaking. I am not sure how one can put a price on excellent and artistic pictures that are supposed to remind me of the most important day of my life, however, lucky for us, it turned out to be quite affordable and reasonable. I have to say I am rather shocked by some of the negative comments on here. I am not sure what else these folks are expecting from her. We were SOOOO happy that Tania photographed our wedding day! She and her assistant were very professional and considerate! Before the wedding day, she met with us twice to go over the details on the schedule and our requirements. We had ~10 kids attending our wedding. Tania was very good at "managing" those kids:). Fairy Godmothers couldn't top the service that Tania provides!!! Whenever there was a hiccup to my plans for the day, she was right there with a solution. We didn't have a toss bouquet and before we could blink, she had found flowers and was tying them together for me to use. Somehow she is able to organize two huge families into being on time for everything, and all with a smile and polite way of doing so. That one time when 48hrs before your clients wedding you learn that their venue has been closed (temporarily) and you are about to start their Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner. While it is every planners nightmare I am so blessed in this community as within two hours I had a venue lined up and after spending the entire next day (aka day before the wedding) mapping out plan B with the new venue and 15+ vendors their wedding turned out to be by far one of the best weddings to date! From tableside tea service to amazing floral and yes, even Carson the Butler, the Downtown Abbey inspired wedding was one magical event! Azzura Photography is amazing! After browsing through many different wedding photographer portfolios, we were blown away by Azzura's quality and style. We consider ourselves very lucky that they had our date available. Ken was our photographer and Tania handled all the scheduling details. We chose Azzura to photograph our wedding and could not be more thrilled with our choice. Tania was a class act from the moment we met her. She worked very hard to listen to what we wanted and to plan ahead to make sure we got all the shots we wanted. She was friendly, enthusiastic, warm, and extremely knowledgeable. She clearly knows exactly what she is doing, so much so that she makes it look effortless. There was a little snafu (not Tania's fault) that threw off the timeline for pre-wedding photos, and Tania handled the situation extremely competently, readjusting her plans on the fly while staying calm, cheerful, and focused. She was extremely efficient and, despite the condensed time period, managed to snap a very impressive number of photos in a variety of beautiful locations throughout the venue, without sacrificing quality or causing stress. She and her excellent assistant, Mike, worked very hard throughout our wedding, snapping photos constantly without getting in the way. They shoveled down their dinner in minutes to maximize their time behind the camera. Their effort and energy level were very impressive. And it showed in their photos, which were absolutely STUNNING. Even after removing the photos with blinks, we received more than 1,000 pictures. I was a little bit nervous about the photos, knowing we had a pretty un-photogenic group, but Tania managed to make everyone look great. She is an extremely skilled artist, and the photos are more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. A few weeks after our wedding, Tania prepared a slide show set to music with all of our photos. It lasted about an hour, and it was so much fun to see them on a big screen and re-live the special day. We received both high- and low-resolution versions of all our photos, and they were also posted online for a limited time, so we had a number of viewing and printing options. I cannot stress enough what an amazing job Tania did. We will absolutely cherish her photos, and I would hire them again in a flash. read more

SO easy and FUN to work with, Ken and Kramer kept everyone moving along, made each moment special and memorable! Ken is so tenured in wedding photography, he acted partly as a wedding coordinator, as he knows exactly when everything needs to happen, and he was so kind as to help keep things moving along!
