My last appointment was not the greatest experience it was a non- symmetrical polish job. Uneven nail file. But I decided to give them another chance, the poilsh change on my feet was good. Then the same lady starts to on the polish change on my hands. For starters, she couldn't speak English well at all. Had to get someone to translate for her. Then when she does get started filing my nails she cuts me twice. When she clipped my nails, one of them broke when I pointed it out to her and told her I wanted to go ahead and clip it all the way off and add a tip multiple times I repeated that and all she kept saying was "I glue, no tip" over and over. when I explained to her that it wasn't gonna hold up very long it would eventually break anyway it didn't matter she refused what I was asking. When she dI'd finally start painting my nails, she didn't put enough coats of polish, so you can see straight through it. And I'm assuming her UV light was very old because it didn't dry my nails properly. It made them look clumpy and bubbly. I know a polish change isn't that expensive, but I still expect a good job and I shouldn't get anything less than that! I've always loved that place but now after the second time of it being a horrible experience, I don't know if I will return. read more

The only thing I would say is ONLY GO TO ANNIE Super frustrated, I got a manicure not even 5 days ago, and it's already chipped. I am very good about not picking or touching my nails so Im kinda confused how this happened to a Gel and Dip manicure. They are super kind and patient with clients and I've had good experiences in the past but after paying $70 for a manicure and having it chip I'm super bummed. read more

I went today for a service. I wanted a full set and gel. And i just left now and I'm truly baffled by how bad the nails look and how badly i was treated... The lady who helped me was pregnant, I didn't catch her name unfortunately.. I showed the lady who was working on me a photo or what I wanted. Super simple nude nails with a matte top coat. And I got something completely different... on top of that she cut two of my cuticles and they stung and bled the entire time. She was incredibly rough with everything she did. Filling, buffing etc. everything was jerking my arm and being so rough. I expressed at the beginning of the service that the way she was shaping the nails was not what I wanted. And she completely ignored me. DIDNT respond. So I brought it up again and said like "hey I'm sorry but these don't look like the nails in the photo" and she dismissed me by saying "I haven't filed". But now that it's filed and done and I've left the salon.. they still are not what I asked for. The first photo is what I asked for. The rest of them are what I received. Really disappointed because this was my first time, and now my last time here. My friends all go to BABY nails. But I truly will never go back. Yes, the nails look decent. Ok not to be dramatic but BABY nails is the BEST salon I've ever been to in my life. They do an absolutely flawless acrylic full set every single time! I've gotten my nails done by almost every nail tech that works there and they're all incredible. They always finish my nails in under an hour and I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes without an appointment. PLUS of all the full sets I've gotten there I've only ever had ONE nail break and it was a set that was 3 weeks old so completely understandable. AND I've never had any nails lift until the set was over 4 weeks old, which is again completely understandable and honestly incredible that they last that long. 10/10 recommend baby nails for acrylic full set! BEST nail salon in the Tuscaloosa / Northport area. If you are a student like me and have been disappointed with the nail salons closer to campus, PLEASE come try BABY nail. I was seated straight away and my nails look beautiful for an extremely reasonable price. Very large color selection! I broke my nail a little less than a week after getting them done (not the fault of the nails- I accidentally dropped a 30 pound weight directly on my thumb in the gym), and they fixed it today quickly for no extra cost. The woman who helped me was so kind and helped me figure out which color I had gotten. Cannot recommend this place enough ! read more

I had an okay experience here.. was satisfied with the end result but not the process. My technician was very rough and rushed during my manicure and didn't stop after I made my pain known. Other people in the spa seemed very please with their service so it could have just been a one off experience. I had to remind her to go to the end of my nail with the dip so I didn't receive a grown out look. Lastly, it's a little pricey for the service you receive. read more

One of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. They pretended to not understand me and were very unhelpful. They would not seat my friend and I together. I had dip nails on already and they made me put my hands in a bowl of remover. My fingers were nicked multiple times by the nail file. The woman was so harsh on my fingers that they are in pain after the service. The dip is so thin that my nails can be seen through the red polish. The bright side, they do look good. Would not recommend this place. This is the first time I've been in almost 10 years due to my mom having two fungal infections in her toes after having pedicures here. If you like really thin dip and do not want something elaborate or care about the health of your nails, this is the place for you. read more

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon with 2 teens. I selected a pedi. The girls mani-pedi. Prices seemed reasonable. The location was easy to find, nice interior. One employee was napping in a chair. This was not a good look. We left happy. But, two days later the polish on the manicures was chipped and discolored. read more

I do not recommend this because I have never had a good experience here. One time I got a mani and pedi. My pedi was ok. They were really harsh on my. And when I didn't want my feet scrub (because there was a reason I could not) the lady looked at me like o did something wrong and did it anyway. After telling her. My mani was the worst. They just painted them. No fileling,trimming the extra things on my hand/nail, and no top coat or "clear stuff". And the polish can riff the next day!! I was very upset. I usually go to A Nail and Spa, but I decided to try this salon based on a friend's recommendation. I got a dip manicure, and I'm happy with the final result! The color (pink sparkle, #20) is really pretty, very even and smooth on top. The edge is a little rough, but their work is much better than A Nail- a lot more consistent across my nails, gel top coat, better shape. There are only a few things I didn't care for: they didn't have me pick my color out right away, so I had to look through the samples with the foils on my nails (not a big deal, just felt more rushed). My cousin, her daughter, and I came to this salon at 6pm today and had a great experience. The salon just opened and was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. We called and made an appointment but I believe they take walk-ins. I chose the deluxe manicure which meant I got a scented hand mask and lotion pairing, along with a hot towel over the hand mask. There are several different scents. The lavender and jasmine was very refreshing. For the month of March, they are offering 20% off all services, and students regularly can receive 10% with a valid ID! My cousin's daughter is 6 and she enjoyed her experience. DO NOT HAVE YOUR EYEBROWS DONE. I sent my daughter In To have her eyebrows done. It was quick, paid and walked out the door. I met her right outside the door and asked her how it went. She immediately told me that it was burning more than normal and it even made her cry. I asked her to let me see and the images below will make you cry. They allowed the wax to go down onto the eyelid and ripped off the tender skin on her eyelid. We immediately walked in and I brought this to their attention. The lady who met me tried to inform me that this was not the case and that it was just a mild blistering (still wrong) and did not apologize. She also did not seem disturbed. In fact she told me to come back in 4 days if it was worse. SERIOUSLY. I am Beyond disappointed, angry and contemplating looking into their licensure for this service. This is not ok. Paid for acrylic nails and pedicure with gel polish. Considerably long wait even with an appointment. Not clean. They prefer to pry off acrylic nails instead of soaking off or filling in, which damages the natural nail (and hurts). Final shape of nails was not accurate and gel polish on pedicure chipped after a few days. Several people who arrived after my daughter had their services and left before she did. In fact, she was the last customer to leave after about 2.5 hours. My daughter did not feel empowered to speak up about what they were doing, and I found out after we left. It was all going so well. The ambiance was cool, the staff was busy and the customers seemed content. I just went in for a basic manicure, something I used to get regularly. It wasn't my first rodeo as I've had countless manicures, but this was by far the most underwhelming manicure I've ever had in the history of me. I could barely feel her trimming away my cuticles and she never bothered to ask if I needed my nails clipped shorter or left alone. Overall, the experience was bare minimum good - but it got progressively worse as the following week revealed that my cuticles were still rough and growing back within days. My lil' splurge of clearcoat was frayed at the base of my nail. This manicure did not last 5 days and certainly not worth the money or tip I spent. The environment was cool and kudos for being super clean :) , but that means nothing when you core product/service dwindles. read more
