I went through the drive-thru today, and the girl at the window was so kind and so patient even though there was a 5 car deep line behind me. We ordered to go and my boss had her husband pick up so I still have no clue what the restaurant looks like. I bagel with the lox combo was tasty. I have had this combo in the past with capers and other additions but the simple additions on this was just right. I took one star off because I ordered a side of eggs and did not enjoy the consistency. Taste fake. I opted for a chai latte and was not disappointed. It was smooth and rich in flavor. This place has a drive thru! So convenient. But beware, their full menu is not available in the drive thru because they want to get customers taken care of in an efficient manner (this has its pros and cons but I don't mind going in for the full menu). I liked that it didn't feel oily or dense but was a good breakfast that I won't regret having later. My husband wishes he would have ordered a second but that doesn't mean they're small. They're just good! I may have been the only one that cares but I liked that the egg was the same size as the bagel so you get egg and sausage on EVERY bite! The bagels are really good! They have that beautiful shine. So soft and chewy on the inside and has a subtle bite on the outside. We had our order to go and didn't stay in the cafe and when we got home the bagel sandwich was good. It didn't get soggy from staying in the bag for 10-12min drive home. The everything bagel is sesame seed free, so I got to have my first everything bagel in years! Love that they are aware that that is a common allergen!! I have gotten the veggie melt and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. They put enough cream cheese on the bagels (which is sometimes a problem) and the veggie melt was loaded with veggies and cream cheese. The service was quick even though it was quite busy. I have not tried the coffee yet, but they have a variety of options. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and they have free WiFi. I really really wanted the everything bagel but I had no dental picks at the time soooo I settled for the plain bagel. It's served differently than I've seen (as two separate slices rather than a sandwich) but I actually liked that method! I felt like I got more toppings and I actually ended up eating half before my appointment and half after. I don't often find bagel shops (that aren't the same big chain ones) so I'm pretty happy I found this. This is the place to be on a Sunday morning!! Well either this or church (food is my church). We came at 8am, and the place was packed already! They were quick, and the ladies at the counter were very attentive to orders. I really appreciate how they repeat your order back to you every time. I got the eggwich with sausage on an asiago bagel - the sandwich was incredible, but the bagel was lacking. It really tasted like a plain bagel, rather than any hint of cheese. Disappointing. However, my friends both got everything bagels and said they were really good. Very reasonable prices - 3 sandwiches only cost $12. Honestly just the average bagel. Good if you want something plain or with some egg and cheese but they don't have many topping options (I'm a loaded bagel type of girl). I also have anxiety and the lady behind the counter didn't make me feel very welcomed. For context: there was no one behind me waiting and I let her know I hadn't been to B&B in years and never to this location. So naturally I had questions. I asked what toppings they had (I didn't see a section on the menu that had a list just different bagel combinations) and she seemed annoyed with me. This place easily earns five stars when they fix one simple thing. The unbelievably annoying noise that is constantly coming from the microwaves behind the counter. The workers routinely allow the beeping to go on throughout the morning. Makes me want to not be in there when there is any line at all. The bagels are amazing though. Easily earn five stars as soon as they can figure out that damn noise. Really, really, annoying. Okay real talk. We go here all the time, at least once a week. When we ask for a toasted bagel through the drive thru, we kind of expect a, I don't know, A TOASTED BAGEL. The past three times we've gone we've gotten a cold, I toasted bagel. One more star lost. Definitely one of my favorite bagel shops in Columbia! Everything is super affordable and delicious, and it's probably one of the only shops in town that makes its bagels properly. Their bagels are fantastic on their own, with cream cheese, or in one of their lovely egg'wiches, and the restaurant located right next to Rock Bridge High School, making it a convenient stop for students or anyone who lives/works on the Southside.
