About 30 minutes from the Queensbury Outlets, 45 minutes from Lake George Village, Adirondack ATV was well worth the drive. My family has had a vacation home in the area for 15 years, and I had been searching for a place like this the whole time. We showed up as a group of 8, and spent the next three hours with Chris and Lynn tearing up the 170 acre trail system they offer. All of their machines were brand new, meticulously maintained, and fast as hell! Their trails were well suited for beginner level riders, but also offered challenging courses for the experts as well. We came back after our three hour trip and warmed up in the lodge, which has a roaring wood burning stove, pot of chili, and fridge stocked with waters and sports drinks. Service like this doesn't exist anymore. Needless to say, this was an amazing experience. We will all be back next time we are in the area, and thanks again to Chris and Lynn for the amazing time.

Below is the review before the owner decided to be flippant, even though I literally fell through the floor and almost had a nail cut through my shoe. If you value safety and general respect, please take your money elsewhere. "For the sheer entertainment factor, this place is pretty cool. If you've done something like ATVs in a tropical spot, this is a version of that for the snow out in rural areas. The experience itself was fun, but the safety was another matter. We didn't get a ton of safety instructions, and they were reluctant to let us use their restrooms. When waiting in the trailer to use the restroom, the floor beneath me literally burst and I fell through. A nail was stuck in the bottom of my shoes, if I didn't have on snow boots, I probably would have had to go to the hospital. I would still recommend going if you like outdoorsy things and have a sense of adventure, but please be careful."

We had lunch in the village and then got back in our cars and followed the GPS to a spot where there were no people. Come to find out we were just steps away while eating lunch, so we quickly doubled back. It's on the mountain not offsite. We were staying in Killington and there is an ATV tour company there, but there was no availability. We called Stratton Adventures and they were able to squeeze us in on the 2:00 summit tour and I was so glad they did! I think we got the better tour because you go to the top of the actual mountain, and see it all, the ski lifts, mountain bikers, hikers, etc. It just seems more interesting than a course in Killington that's not on the ski slope. We had two guides, one in front and one bringing up the rear. They got us fitted for helmets, explained the equipment, and off we went. It was definitely family friendly but you also had some spots where you could really open up if you wanted to. My husband drove the whole time and we had a blast. As long as you are both licensed drivers you can switch drivers if you want to. The guides showed us some bear prints at the summit and had a lot of great stories. It was a good mix of riding and photo opportunities. We got lucky, it was a beautiful day to be on the mountain. I highly recommend Stratton Adventures. Even if you're staying in the Killington area as we were, it was worth the drive. Fun experience! I'd love to go back in the winter and try the snowmobile tour.

Let's talk food and ones favorite libation for a moment...next door to the front office us a fine restaurant called Yanni's ll...whoa...dock your boat at the marina, as it gives you a reason to stop by and have a great meal while sitting outside (or inside) with a view of all coming and goings of those of us that have our boats docked at the marina...plus a wonderful view of the Great Hudson River! We bought a Mainship 37 in Massachusetts, motored it across Long Island Sound and up the Hudson…read moreRiver over two weeks in May, 2015. We chose Coeymans Landing Marina to haul, dismantle, and load the boat for shipping to South Dakota at the end of the trip. We chose Coeymans only because a lot of other online reviews were good and they used to be a big Mainship dealer in the 1990's. We pulled up on a windy Saturday morning. Five people helped us in -- a combination of marina employees and just friendly slipholders. Owners Hedy and Carl were very, very friendly and helpful. We went over the dismantling with Eric the service yard foreman for about half an hour, and then left to fly back to SD -- and they took it from there. Eric was fantastic. Without my even asking, he texted us photos of the work literally every few hours. The props had gotten damaged on the trip and Eric took care of getting them shipped out, reconditioned and rebalanced by a service in Newburgh, and then delivered back to Coeymans just in time to get loaded on the 18-wheeler. They did a fantastic job on prepping the boat for shipping, replaced the aft air conditioning unit because the old one was shot, and loaded that boat so well that everything arrived in South Dakota in good shape after a 1,500 mile road trip -- and all for a very reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with Coeymans, we got lucky.
