I almost punched my fist through my car window celebrating my first bite of the blondie. DELICIOUS.

Close to our stay in Brandon, South Dakota, my boyfriend's mom and I were ready to enjoy something sweet after a simple soup and salad dinner at Minerva's. My boyfriend and I opted for malts, a banana malt for him and a chocolate malt for me. Little did I know a medium malt was way more than I anticipated. We got back to the family at our Air BnB and we all sat around talking story enjoying our sweet treats. I was delightfully surprised by how much I was in love with this malt from B & G Milkyway. Alas, I couldn't finish it the first night so I ended up enjoying it the next afternoon before the wedding we were attending. It was just as delicious though more frozen than the night before. Since we were staying a little longer in South Dakota we ended up stopping for lunch at B & G the next day. I got the hot dog basket that comes with beans and potato salad, and subbed a small chocolate malt in for the soda and my boyfriend got the walking taco. Being from the island I had never seen a walking taco on a fast food menu before or even heard of it prior to moving to the midwest. But I enjoyed seeing it and loved that it was an option on their menu. The hot dog and sides hit the spot for the heat and hunger I craved and the malt was just the icing on top!! Before we headed back a couple days later we definitely enjoyed another malt. It was perfect and got me hooked for sure!! This little shop is tiny but perfect for those who want a quick bite to eat or something sweet. I loved that they had big signs on the poles leading up to the drive thru so people could scan the QR code for their menu. There's ample parking and the staff were friendly and patient. If you happen to find yourself in this area, you know it, try it out! Especially one of their malts! Oh yes, and don't forget the pup! They also have yummy pup sundaes and pup cups for the doggie! I stopped by B&G Milkyway on my way home from doing errands. I thought the place looked very cute and old fashioned. I saw many family's sitting outside the patio seating area. Seeing all of this really got my attention. So I decided to stop by. They have a parking space to park your car and order inside and they also have a drive thru area to order from. After looking at the menu I decided to go with a Butter Pecan Malt because that is my favorite ice cream flavor. I ordered a medium and that thing looked like a large to me. It was so delicious and I thought that the price was great for the amount of ice cream you get. I didn't get a picture of the malt but I will update this review when I go back to get one again. Ever since the butter pecan malt I had, I have been to B&G Milkyway once again but this time I got a Banana Split Sundae Boat. Oh my goodness that Banana Split was so delicious and this time I got a few pictures. Overall I really recommend this place to anyone stopping by Sioux Falls. I though this place was so good and perfect for families to go to with their kids and friends. read more

Took our grandkids here to get some ice cream and they loved the avalanche's. So many options they had a hard time choosing. The service was a little slow but no one cared since they have games to play outside by the picnic tables. Great ice cream. read more

When visiting new cities I love to checkout ice cream parlors/creamy whips. B&G kept coming up as the best creamy whip in Sioux Falls. I came here after dinner with a friend and the place was very busy, they have a drive thru and a number of cars were in line for the drive thru. There was a line inside, but it was moving fast and the staff were super friendly. I ordered a medium vanilla cone crusted with sprinkles and then cherry dip top. It was delicious, one of the best cones I've had. The soft serve was creamy, the sprinkles were good and the dip top was a perfect temperature/texture. Seating is outdoors. When I am back In Sioux Falls, I will definitely stop at B&G . read more

I was overcharged for an item 3 days ago. I didn't notice it on the receipt until after leaving...so I just thought I would tell them next time we visited...no biggie, right?!?? Long story short, they WOULD NOT agree refund the extra $1.20 (difference between the small I ordered and medium avalanche). I am beyond disappointed. The amount I was overcharged was not a big deal, but rather it was the principal behind it. We will NEVER patronize B & G EVER again! Note to the mgmt: I hope the $1.20 was worth losing a good customer (3-5 times per month with my kids) and I will be telling everyone I know how you operate and to avoid going anywhere near all of your restaurants. Not going to lie, the ice cream here is great but the food is absolutely terrible. I would 100% get ice cream again but the food is lunch room quality for 5 times the price. I do have to give it to them though, the cheese curds are good. Morale of the story: don't get the food. Get the ice cream. read more

OMG, 3 dollars for a massive ice cream sundae (probably made with as custard as opposed to soft serve) with a heated up (though only with a microwave) homemade brownie (which came from a ziplock bag dropped off every day). At first I was apprehensive about getting an ice cream sunday with soft serve ice cream, but the ice cream here is definitely some sort of custard = win. It's creamier, holds its texture a lot longer and has a deeper flavor than regular soft serve. Works a lot better paired with a hot brownie than just regular soft serve.It's served with crumbled oreos and hot fudge on top as well. Talk about decadence overload. And all for like $3.50 And not to mention the nachos which are made with a bag of Durritos (and) served with chili, cheese, and sour cream on top. Probably the first time I've ever seen nacho's made that way. B&G already had a line here on a 48 degree evening. I can't even imagine the line in front of it for a actual hot summer day. Way better than your average Dairy Queen (was there even one in town?) If I ever drive through South Dakota again, I'll definitely stop by. read more

Tried the sloppy joe and the beef bbq sandwich. Liked them both, but would like to see the following. Add the sauce from the beef sandwich to the sloppy joe and top it with some cheese. Kind of like Leon's in Milwaukee. Really, service was outstanding. I like this place. I hope they do well. When I return to Sioux Falls, I'll go back. B&G Milky Way is the best! We lived in Sioux Falls from 1994 to 2003. There is nothing better on a hot day than a B&G Strawberry slushwhip! It is so refreshing and tasty. We now live in Wisconsin and I just commented to my wife that I wish we had a Milky Way here so I could get a slushwhip. We will be back in Sioux Falls in July for a wedding and my first stop will be B&G East for s Strawberry Slush Whip! read more

Disappointed!!! Have been a satisfied customer for over 23 years with original location. Until this year would be a five star review without hesitation. I have had two chocolate shakes this year on the East-side Location and both taste nothing like last year! The ice cream is still good, but the chocolate tastes totally different..Ugh. Someone mentioned they thought maybe they switched from a chocolate syrup to a cheaper powdered chocolate?
