When it came time for my fiancé and I to choose a venue there was no question in my mind which one was on the top of our list. I know the industry well, I've worked at almost every venue in CT and The Country Loft is HANDS DOWN one of the very best. The earlier negative review seemed to have some personal animosity there so, in comparison, I want to make it publicly clear that Carole is absolutely beyond wonderful to work with! I have never met a venue coordinator that was so dedicated to each other her brides and really making their dream wedding happen. She is bubbly, upbeat, funny, accommodating, and can handle any crazy ideas a bride (me!) may throw at her. Our wedding day didn't go as (carefully) planned because of crazy abnormal weather but Carole and her team kept things running so smoothly that none of our guests ever realized anything was awry. To say that they bent over backwards for us would be the understatement of the year. I adore them. My husband (!!) adores them. My parents adore them. My bridal party adored them. And we will sing their praises until our dying day. On top of the B&B being a perfectly relaxing place to stay, the ground were so beyond beautiful! Carole and her team, again, went out of their way to plant flowers and get the grounds looking fantastic. For the record, the client whose wedding I shot a year earlier had the same exact experience with Carole. I could continue to review all the positive things about having a wedding here, but I think I made my point clear. I will continue to refer all my clients to The Country Loft because I know that they are in good hands.

I had to provide J pegs of things I wanted because he provided me navy blue lace tablecloths . So yes after that pictures were provided to ensure taste was up to level. After I cancelled the event I ordered all my own supplies including linen, flowers, centerpieces, seating charts, favors and desserts and cake. All coming in under 2k (happy to post receipts) so really not sure how 2 weeks of work equates to 4K in charges. Also not sure how any business demands payment one week before event or threatens to cancel all orders. What person would pay someone in full before their event is completed? No one in their right mind would agree to that. Also not sure how anyone would want to work with a person who feels justified in keeping $1680 in deposit money with no services rendered. It certainly sounds like customer service is your focus! And it is certainly true that we had no contact for a week (ironically right after I paid the initial 1680 deposit). Not only did a friend of ours who is also getting…read moremarried soon ask us for her info while we were still at the wedding, but even the bridal attendant at our venue said that Janet was wonderful, which was especially meaningful to us since she also told us that often the day-of coordinator and bridal attendant end up stepping on each other's toes a bit, which was not at all the case here. She kept everything and everybody on track, and there wasn't even the slightest hiccup of any kind throughout the entire day. Our parents initially weren't entirely on board with the idea of a day-of coordinator, but relented after the day went so smoothly. We were all able to fully enjoy the wedding, and be guests at our own party!
