This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to the lack of communication and follow-up. We understand places get busy, but not returning calls and then suddenly being fully booked after initially confirming availability is poor customer service. Their reservation system also clearly needs improvement. An online reservation model would make much more sense because the current phone-based process is not working effectively. Although I've enjoyed tea here on a couple of different occasions, the experience is not astonishing enough to return after this reservation experience.

His exact words were "if I lose my liquor license or get a fine, you are going down with me" Who runs a business and talks to paying customers in this way?? I don't want to pull the race card but I can't help but think he would NOT deal with white customers in this way. We are young black and very respectful - we paid and were nothing but professional. Long story short we used the punch with NO ISSUES no fights broke out no one was shot no police came out. But I would not recommend this space to anyone. THE OWNER IS UNPROFESSIONAL & DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORD! BEWARE!

Instead of handling the situation with basic courtesy or understanding, the owner was hostile and aggressive in tone. What stands out most about this experience is the approach to business itself. No service had been provided, no event had taken place, and there was no damage or cost incurred by the venue related to the booking date. Yet the response to a cancellation request made well in advance was neither reasonable nor professional. Businesses today are expected to operate with clear communication, fairness, and professionalism--especially when dealing with unforeseen personal emergencies. Unfortunately, this experience reflected the opposite and raises serious concerns about how clients are treated once a deposit or payment is secured.
