Cute place that makes you feel like you are at grandmas house. Friendly and efficient service. Delicious vegetarian options. Worth checking it it out. Perfect for a Sunday brunch

I hosted a baby shower at Magnolia Cottage (formerly The Cottage On Main) and they exceeded my expectations by far! The venue is very southern and charming, the food is fantastic, and the service is amazing! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. It's a wonderful place for events, and I will definitely be back for their brunches.

As we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. I had made reservations for high tea and it was fantastic. The service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive. The food was wonderful and the dessert....... OMG, she brought out three tiers of sweets. If you have a chance, I'd make a reservation for tea.

Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict, Lemon Hollandaise with seafood chowder (the soup of the day)

Wow! My new favorite brunch place in Duluth now!!! Everything I ingested was delicious here. Creole shrimp and grits - lots of delicious fresh shrimp and man that creole sauces goodness was so delicious! Fried green tomato eggs Benedict - I've had my fair share of eggs Benedict to the point where I could eat any more of it at one point. But this one really surprised me how delicious it was. I'm not even a big fried green tomato fan but it was 100% yum. I also got the seafood chowder which was the soup of the day as my side and that was also delicious. Loved the Bloody Mary too! They also gave us some scones that we were super delicious and complimentary. IF I had to complain about ONE thing it would be there was a 5 minute wait but that is literally nothing to complain about because nowa(Covid)days every where is slow. And this was barely even a wait. Great service and everything - I recommend!

Beautiful location for a business Christmas dinner. Private parties welcomed. Diving into appetizers of bread, dips, crab cakes, and more- we were very pleased with the start! The filet was amazing- cooked a perfect MR! Very filling! The lamb chops were a little less meaty then we hoped, but still nice. Would not order this if you are hungry. Would definitely return for another event and highly recommend reviewing the available packages. This hidden gem has a lot to offer. Parking- in the back (gravel parking); it is between the main property and the restaurant itself. From the Main Street: restaurant is to the left (Little White House).

The atmosphere walking in feels very warm and welcoming. It feels high end, but the pricing isn't insane. The staff was very friendly and quick to greet and make sure all your needs are met. The French onion was good, but a little messy because a lot of soup I'm a small dish. So just be prepared to make a little bit of a mess if ordering that, but it's great. The salads are HUGE! The poppyseed dressing is very well done. The chicken salad had great flavor and texture, I understand why they say it's so well loved.

This place is a solid 4 stars for me, maybe even a 4.5. And psst. Yelp also gives you 8% cash back... The menu was limited, but everything looked good. The hubs and I shared the fried pickle wedges. There was a sort of sweetness to it. Perhaps due to it being fried? It was good and something different. The complimentary blueberry (or cranberry) scones were superb with the butter. The butter was rather interesting as it had bits and pieces of something in it (the hubs said it was pears or something of the like). For our entrees, he had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with a soup of the day while I had the crab cake sandwich special with the broccoli pasta salad. The hubs' fried chicken sandwich was good; it was crispy and had lots of flavors. It was simple, but the ingredients came together well. He choose the soup of the day which was a tomato soup bisque with havarti cheese (I don't remember what it's called exactly), and it was really creamy and yummy. This was a great combination, and I would highly rec it. I was aiming for the grilled salmon sandwich ... but the crab cake sandwich on toast-like bread sounded so much unhealthier and delicious. The sandwich was good, but a bit on the saltier side bc of the crab cake. I choose the broccoli pasta salad, and it was super creamy and pretty flavorful. The only thing I wished was different was not have the bread soaked with butter/oil. It was sort of like a grilled cheese sandwich where your fingers get all greasy. [Even the leftovers were greasy and soaked thru the new parchment paper AND paper towel] It was sort of difficult to call in order to get a reservation. My advice is call a little bit after the restaurant opens. If you call towards the middle or end, it's not a guarantee that you will get anyone. It's strange bc the place wasn't packed when we arrived there. I guess the staff bounces between the Payne-Corley House and this place since it's owned and managed by the same folks. Parking is located towards the back of the Payne-Corley House thru the gates on the large gravel space. Once you enter, it's the building on the left.

I wouldn't of known the existence of this place if I didn't get married here. We actually forgot about this place and almost let our coupon expire. They have pretty limited hours and the menu is pretty small but everything looked delicious. We got fried pickles as an appetizer. It was delicious. Most places that have friend pickles are too salty or sour. Even my wife enjoyed it and she doesn't like pickles as I do. The scones were delicious and warm. I liked the butter that had some pear flavor to it. I had a fried chicken sandwich with soup and my wife had the crab cake sandwich with broccoli pasta salad. The chicken was pretty basic but it was probably one of the better fried-chicken sandwiches I've had. My wife's crab cake sandwich was also pretty decent. It was greasier than I liked but it was tasty enough. I've had some amazing crab crake living in Baltimore so this doesn't really compare. We couldn't finish our food since it was pretty heavy for brunch. Would I come here again? Maybe. They have some odd hours and it's mostly a wedding venue. I enjoyed the food but I wouldn't go too far out of my way to eat here.

    Closed for Lunch!

This was once a top notch tea room for lunch. Unfortunately they are no longer open for lunch. They are open only for group dinners under contract with them.

Dreamland faces the back towards Abbots Bridge Road, there's a large parking lot out front but good luck finding parking there, especially on busy weekends. I recommend going around the corner and parking in front of Coleman Middle School across the street (when school is out of session like on weekends). Otherwise I'd time my visits to off-hours and during the week day. Where to begin with this one? I was a frequent visitor to the Dreamland BBQ that occupied a free-standing building on Peachtree Parkway, just south east of the Forum. From what I remember that building had a fire and I believe that this location is where the restaurant ended up. To start, this is a massive space with high ceilings, a large bar and plenty of seating - very different from the cozy confines of the original location. We attended the exceptional Le Bon fest held by Goodword Brewing nearby and being ready for something more substantial than a few oysters, we ended up at Dreamland. It took a while to be seated as there wasn't anyone out front - there was one booth already seated in an otherwise empty restaurant, so it could be our timing wasn't the best. We ended up being seated at the bar and our server was delightful, super nice and personable. When I went to the restroom to wash my hands, as soon as I touched the single sink valve, water geysered into the air about 4 feet. The other sink wasn't working at all. Anyway I managed, and also reported what was happening as there really wasn't a way to turn it off. My friend Ken ordered the roasted chicken with a double side of green beans. I ordered the half-slab and deferred ordering any sides as from experience, 6 bones tend to be a lot of meat. What I received was something of a joke - the bones were tiny and hardly had any meat on them filling about half the basket. Now I understand that sometimes getting the smaller side of a rack, you end up with less food, but this was somewhat ridiculous. It's been a long time since I've left a BBQ place hungry, but there it is. If the service had been bad I probably would have left a 1 star review, but I'll give the place the benefit of the doubt. Very disappointing.

My wife loves the music atmosphere in the building, you can also see other customers grooving to the music so they know how to please their customers ears. I love the artwork they have in the back, makes you feel like a NY graffiti alley. I find it very interesting I guess since I'm interested in this type of art. Now for the service, every time we come by we always run into a very nice & sweet lady but we can tell one of the employees does have an attitude from the group. I'm glad we didn't have to deal with her, life is stressing but when you come to work it's best to leave the attitude behind & put your best A game while you're at work. Let's go now with food, I enjoy soul food. It's just some kind of food that gets you stuffed. Makes me feel like I'm enjoying a home cooked meal, their food is delicious. I'm not picky & I don't like down shamming anyone's business. That's not how I roll, I have a business myself & I know I'd dislike someone who understands situations or value of what they do. But, I did have an issue on the temperature of the food. It comes out lukewarm & it's a little disappointing because you're waiting at least 10-15 mins before you get your food. I would atleast appreciate the food being a little warmer. In this order, my wife got oxtails with Mac & Cheese & Fried Okra. She was pleased with her order! I love their cornbread muffin, it has amazing flavors! I got the honey croissant this time with my smoked chicken, it wasn't bad but I guess I was digging the honey on the croissant. Chicken was good, i enjoyed it & the veggies are great. I got steam cabbage, their seasonings were amazing. I also got veggies, they came out great. I absolutely admire their fresh squeezed agave lemonade! It tastes amazing, I recommend anyone to give it a try. I made a sun-joy out of it! I can't complain, their food will get you stuffed for the prices they have going on here. Each plate is around $15.00-24.00.

I've heard they also have another location in Atlanta, Georgia, where parking is required and they offer specialty lemonades. The vibe here was really nice--great music, friendly staff, and beautiful decor. We especially loved the thoughtful touch of flowers on the tables in honor of Mother's Day. Our waitress was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, including specialty items and pricing. For food, we ordered the shrimp and waffles, chicken tenders with waffles, and the catfish plate, which comes with two sides--we chose potatoes and eggs. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. We also tried their lemonades, which come in a variety of flavors like strawberry, pineapple, and blueberry, and they are refillable. The only downside for us was that they only offer bottled water--we would have preferred the option of having a regular cup of ice water at the table. Overall, we had a great experience. I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol
