May 1 came and went and I didn't hear a thank you from his Mom who is always very prompt with replies. I even told her to expect a delivery on May 1 for his birthday. I reached out to her on May 3rd and asked her if she had gotten the delivery, which she replied "No". I called Balloons over Atlanta and they couldn't understand why they weren't delivered as they saw them on May 1 ready for a delivery. Well, so my 9 year old received his balloons on May 4 and the bigger disappointment was that they misspelled his name on the balloon. Not sure what happened there . . .but I spent $138.46 on these balloons that weren't delivered on time. Asked for a discount and never heard back from them . . . . .

Truly best-in-class!…read more My baby sister-in-law - who's getting married THIS EVENING - ordered balloons from another place for the reception, and I took them to a grocery store this morning to be inflated. Well wouldn't you know, the wind whisked some off the strings, and either a door frame or a thorny bush deflated some others. Not only were most of the other party stores in the city closed, but the few that were open couldn't replace the large silver Mylar ballon letters spelling out L-O-V-E that I lost. Enter Balloons & Events Over Atlanta. Not only did the owner say she could replace the large letter I lost, but she agreed to leave her family on a Sunday afternoon, while her shop was closed, and drive through a torrential downpour (complete with flash flooding) to arrive within the hour. On top of that, she arrived with the smile and calm, pleasant attitude that I would never be able to bring under the same circumstances. She had me in and out in 5 minutes, and even affixed a sturdy weight to each letter so it wouldn't carry away in the wind. Moreover, instead of taking the time to boot up her payment system, she took down my credit card info and agreed to process my transaction an email a receipt Monday, so I could get back to my hotel and get ready in time for the wedding. Goes without saying, and it's already in their name, but I'll go ahead and say it: I highly recommend Balloons & Events Over Atlanta for any balloon and event needs all over Atlanta. Moreover, my family and I will make it a point to give them our business in the future.

Today I had a mobile order pick up & I went inside to grab it. There were only 2 workers with one fulfilling online orders & the other one was at the register. There were 7 people in line & it took forever. It's finally my turn & she can't find my order. She asks if it could be under a different name & I say no, I had already showed her the confirmation/pick up screen & email showing the name. She then says it must have been cancelled & I said it couldn't have bc I just received the email that it was ready for pickup & I hadn't received any cancellation email. She insists it had to be cancelled & I tell her it wasn't & that I'd already been charged. She says to keep checking my email for a cancellation & was about to just go to the next customer when I asked her to check the other bins to see if it had been misplaced. She says it hasn't so I get closer to see the pick up bins & I can clearly see my order. I say "is that not it?" & she said "well I asked you if it was under a different name" like what? She goes & checks & says "oh I guess it is. It was placed in the wrong bin on accident". It was RIGHT next to where she had just checked & I told her what the items were. She choose to ignore them instead of just checking.

They had a good selection of Palm Pal stuffy toys, and also a couple different style/patterns of origami paper. The guy at the register was very nice, helpful and friendly. He was busy but as soon as he had a chance, he led me to the origami. I had just gone to the other Richards Variety Store (Peachtree Rd.), and had a bad experience. I left my items on the counter after I got upset after my interactions with the older guy at the register there (I think he is the owner.) The young woman there was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend coming to this store (Piedmont). Not only for the items but also the customer service. - Note, I have been to this store only two times as I live out of state, but my brother who lives here has been to this Richards V.S. multiple times and likes this store.

To me, it was like any gift store or boutique selling random things.

It's especially clutch for quick errands, last-minute needs, or when you're organizing, crafting, or hosting something on a budget. So because of my loyalty, I stay in Dollar Trees across the city and wherever I go. I mean, who wouldn't?! If you know what you're looking for, you can really make some magic! I was out and about running errands in the area and stopped into this Dollar Tree location for some specific products. This DT is located in a large plaza with tons of parking and space so finding a spot to park is not an issue. There were some folks outside selling items to people walking into the stores but I'm not ever up for knocking someone's hustle. Make your money honey! Once I made it inside of the store, I felt like I was in a forgotten Dollar Tree. As if someone abandoned it and folks decided to take over and get to work, lol. There were only a few other folks shopping in the store besides me when I entered and it was extremely quiet. As I shopped the aisles, what stood out most to me was how bare some of the shelves were. It's as if they ran out of some stock and just decided not to refill them. There were carts in the middle of some aisles that didn't have anyone tending to them and were left just blocking the walkways. I will say that the arts & crafts aisle was stacked! Which is what I went there for, so I did walk out with what I needed, but not much more. Also, the employee that checked me out was lovely and answered some questions for me with so much patience, I appreciated that! Overall, not an outstanding location but I walked out with what I hoped for despite not coming across many gems that I'm used to at Dollar Tree. I'm not in this area often but hope that they continue updating and keep those aisles stocked for DT lovers like myself.
