I provided a picture of myself from when I had gotten my hair done for a previous wedding as an example of what I wanted (smooth, neat curls). I tried to smooth it out on my own and then asked for a touch up before they left, but she reverted it back to how she had originally styled it. The curls were not uniform at all, going every direction and frizzy. After the wedding I reached out to Lynda to say I was not satisfied with the styling (which was $125, not including tip). I was met with immediate defensiveness and even gaslighting from Lynda - saying it was because of the weather and she thought I looked great (did not go outside before taking photos). Lynda does not offer refunds, only a complimentary free styling. As I'm not local and was not happy with the services, that was of little value.

I don't remember the name of the spray tan artist, but she was phenomenal. At least for me, it takes a lot to make me feel comfortable and confident naked in front of strangers, but she was great. I had never felt so at ease or confident in a beauty situation before. She made you feel safe and comfortable and explained every aspect of the appointment. The tan looked amazing right after and for the week that followed, but didn't last as long as ones I'd had in the past fading and peeling in spots, although this could be due to my prep and aftercare. Either way, I've already recommended this place to multiple people for the price, quality, and of course the quality of service.

I tried several places and either the makeup or hair didn't work out for one reason or another. Desperate, I asked my friends on Facebook if they knew anyone and someone suggested I call Jennifer Johnson. I did and we met up within the week. She turned on some great tunes did up my hair perfectly on the first try. We moved on to makeup and we were completely on the same page. We laughed! It was great. The week of the wedding there was tons of flooding. The main road into the town I was married in was closed. Jennifer and her partner still arrived EARLY! They had our hair and makeup done with time to spare. My step mother loved the looks so much that she had her makeup done as well (That was not planned originally). Everyone OOOH'd and AAhh'd at how beautiful the girls all looked. So many people ask me who did our hair and makeup to this day. I always recommend Jennifer. Jennifer is extremely professional and has superhero talent. I was able to book an appointment with Madison. She did an amazing job! She thoroughly listened to what I wanted and took everything into consideration. In the past I have had a hard time with new stylist getting my color right, so I usually dread to move and find someone new. But Madison was spot on. I was super happy with the cut and color! This spot is in Wickford Village and they don't have a parking lot. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to find street parking ahead of your appointment.

Made an appointment online, looked up the manicurist's IG info and then was able to see her past artwork. Everything looked good, so I went in for my appointment. The Shore nail salon is a different building from the main Hair salon. (and parking is quite annoying but that's not on the owners- thats a Wickford Village thing.) The salon is tiny and when I walked in a manicurist was with a customer and said hello but then continued to chat with her client while I just sat down wondering if she was my tech or not (a little odd but no big deal). A few minutes later Jessica arrived and took me over to her area. We talked quickly about what I was looking for and she got right to work. The service was great and I was pleased with the quality! They also offered a complimentary ring cleaning which was a treat because my engagement ring was a little dull and that's why I was getting my nails done anyway- for our engagement dinner that night. All in all, the pricing was right in line for the service, and the technician was nice enough. Will certainly go back in the future to see Jessica for special occasion nails and continue to use my current salon for regular maintenance.
