Disastrous Experience with Hennrietta Ott from Hottcreations…read more We had several conversations via phone, texts, diagrams, mock up and two days before the wedding we had an in person walk through. I repeatedly request more in person meetings unfortunately they would get canceled. Our wedding day, meant to be a celebration of love and unity, turned into a nightmare which left me in tears, largely due to the incompetence and abandonment by our wedding planner, Hennrietta Ott from Hottcreations. We approached her with trust and excitement, only to be let down at every turn. Hennrietta Ott breached the contract by abandoning her duties immediately after the ceremony concluded. Throughout the planning process, we emphasized specific details, particularly regarding the seating arrangement, which she completely disregarded. The seating arrangement was so disorganized that it caused my wife to halt the ceremony after i reached the alter in order to seat our wedding party and family appropriately. Despite our explicit instructions of 3 rows of 4 on each side of the aisle with the first row being reserved for family and wedding party, Hennrietta ott provided 2 rows of 5 on each side of the aisle with no reserved seating, leaving some guests without a place to sit and causing unnecessary confusion. Promises were made but not fulfilled. Hennrietta assured us of a circle arch for our ceremony, but instead, we were presented with a squared pillar. Tragically, Hennrietta failed to include a photo of my Maid of Honor, who had passed away months prior, despite assuring us she would create a beautiful memorial setup. This oversight was not only hurtful but also indicative of her inability to prioritize and honor our requests. The absence of a promised memorial for my deceased Maid of Honor added immense emotional distress to an already chaotic day. During the ceremony, it became evident that things were amiss. Guests were locked out of the venue, including our harpist, who was left without instructions. The officiant was supposed to have already been waiting at the alter however, he was instructed to walked down during the bridal processional. When we approached Hennrietta about the issues, she displayed a lack of accountability and empathy, refusing to make eye contact and failing to provide reassurance about the remainder of the event. She abandoned us at the reception without any instructions As the reception commenced, Hennrietta was nowhere to be found, leaving her assistant, to manage the affair single-handedly. While her assistant attempted to salvage the situation, it was clear she was ill-prepared for the responsibility. My wife and I were left to navigate the reception without guidance, resulting in a delayed meal and missed opportunities for meaningful interactions with our guests. Despite the ceremony's outward appearance, the numerous issues that arose due to Hennrietta's negligence marred what should have been a joyous occasion. Her inability to fulfill her contractual obligations and her absence during crucial moments left us deeply disappointed and embarrassed. Despite the commendable efforts of her assistant, our experience with Hennrietta Ott was nothing short of disastrous. While she may possess potential as a wedding planner and day-of coordinator, her actions on our wedding day do not warrant recommendation to others in search of a reliable and competent professional in the industry.

He understood exactly what we wanted through the night. When we did request last minute songs he made sure to keep the flow of the party by adding the right lead in songs. There wasn't an abrupt change in the flow. My dad had a very specific song he wanted for our dance from YouTube. Chris picked it up, did some editing, and it was perfect! He also helped nudge my husband to the dance floor when we got separated for one of our must plays, which I'm so appreciative of because the moment my husband and I had was one of our best! I had the pleasure of attending another wedding with DJ Chris last month-the wedding of another of my 2010 wedding guests! Certain members of my family make his job significantly more difficult than it should be, but he handles them perfectly and runs an incredible party every time. He works with the bride and groom closely to make sure that he gives them exactly what they want/need, explaining when he thinks they should make another choice (trust his judgment, he's got the experience and he's good at what he does). We were married September 12th and things couldn't have gone better. Mid pandemic we'd been petrified we'd lose our vendors and we didn't. Dan assured us that if we lost our venue they'd come DJ / Officiate & photo booth in our backyard! They were as determined as we were to have this wedding. The wedding day came and everything was flawless. Dan & Ray took care of our outdoor music for the reception- gave us queues to walk out to and then my (now) husband and I met Dan at the alter. He was our officiant and we loved every minute of the ceremony. He pronounced us married and it was the best. We then went for pictures and Dan & Ray introduced us in. , immediately after the ceremony we realized that our caterers were late and by "we" I mean Dan. He alerted my husband & MOH to keep me stress-less. The situation was rectified and we continued through the night. Dan checked on us multiple times through the night, offered to get us drinks. He even cut our cake. The music was incredible, the photo booth & personalized designs for our pictures were all amazing & flawless. I guess what I'm trying to say is, hiring Dan for your event is more than just hiring a DJ. It's hiring someone who cares about your event as much as you do, having an AMAZING time - I literally will not forget my wedding or any details. You'll have someone who wants things to run smooth and will consistently make sure you're happy with your event. We rented the Tiki Bar from Movable Mixtures for the Orioles Opening Day to have on our outdoor patio to sell liquor and beer. The bar was well built and really cool looking, definitely grabbed peoples attention. It was equipped with two flat screen tv's with Direct TV, soda gun, coolers for beer, ice bins and plenty of shelving for liquor. Phil was very hands on with making us feel comfortable and making sure everything worked properly. We would definitely rent the Tiki Bar from Movable Mixtures again!

This was a red flag that I did not pick up on. I reached out to Royal Images to express my concerns. All I wanted was for some of the pictures to be corrected or a retake of a few. I was told that I would hear back in a few days. It has been weeks and I've only heard back once via text. All of my calls have been ignored. Yet, my calls were answered RIGHT AWAY PRIOR to my session. Good thing I took more pictures with another photographer that I recommend instead. Do not be fooled by the pictures on Royal's website (how does a professional photographer cut off your feet from a full body photo???) I feel as though I got ripped off. I gave Royal plenty of time to get back to me before writing this review. However, I do not want this to happen to anyone else.
