I've been coming to B.T. Auto Wrench for a very long time. I recently experienced an above and beyond client treatment which prompted me to write a review. My Mercedes engine has been experiencing louder than normal noises and the driving experience has been poor. Bao took his time to take a look and identified that I needed to change my spark plugs due to a valve cover leak and my intake manifold gasket was cracked, I also needed to change my brakes, tires, and get an oil change. I went to other shops and the Mercedes dealer and they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and my first unborn child! Jk, all jokes aside they wanted to charge me a significant amount of money. Bao is trust worthy and only recommended what I needed at the time and explained the valve cover replacement and tires can wait since I am a little strapped for cash. My vehicle is running extremely smooth after Bao's recommendations. I told him that we had a homeless person vandalize our vehicles at our work parking structure, the guy kicked in my fog lights. Bao had his technician fix it with no charge, now it is bolted on, which was a "ohhh by the way we fixed this for you for free" at the end of the transaction. I had a major transmission problem on a trip from Arizona to San Diego. The car wouldn't shift and would not go into gear. The manual transmission was noisy and grinding. Bao and his guys were able to look at it SAME DAY. like I drive it in and they got to it right away- unheard of. They texted me with an estimate that was less than any quotes I had gotten on the phone, aaaand he promised it in 2 days. The car was finished early and the price was reasonable. If you're in the market for giving away your money this place is for you. However if you're not, I strongly recommend you go somewhere else. I took my car in less than a year ago for an AC issue where my car was only blowing out hot air. I was told after the diagnostic that I would need a new condenser and compressor and after a few other repairs I was down over $2000.00, but at least my car didn't feel like an oven. However after a few months I noticed my car only blew mildly cold air, no real AC and no Heater. As someone who works a shitty schedule I haven't had time to bring it in and when I finally did I was told it may be something completely different. The tech that helped me (who was really great (he wasn't there the first time.)) told me Nissan and infinity are known for having a actuator issues ("the valve that changes from hot to cold"). I asked why if this is a known fact why this wasn't assessed prior to charging me so much for the first repair and If in fact I actually needed the first one or if it was this all along. They told me they would need to check before giving me any definitive info. 3 hours later and I get a text saying it is in fact the actuator and would need that done. I opted from having the service, and when I arrived to pick up my car I was told nothing aside from "the keys are in the car but you're blocked in by a truck." Took me over 10 minutes to be able to leave. Funny thing is the actuator was replaced prior to going to them so not sure what's going on. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Believe the reviews for this place. My car was having issues starting. Being someone that used to work on cars, I was hesitant to bring it to a mechanic. After checking yelp, I found this place. Initially I called and Bao answered. I asked if I should make an appointment, but he said just to bring it in for an evaluation. I got there around 10:30 am. The process was pretty straight forward. Fill out a form and tell them what the issue is. When Bao tried to start the car, it wouldn't even turn over. Said it was a good thing that I broke down there. Bao said his team would look into it and text me any updates. They did indeed text me, with all of the updates and pricing. Very transparent. The text will also include an authorization form that you'll need to sign before they can do the work. My car was ready for pick around 4:30 pm. No hidden fees, no issues.
