I literally could not have asked for a better experience than what I had with Greg and Dualtone. My car was having urgent issues due to misalignment and thankfully Greg took me in on a Friday with no prior notice. The alignment was done quickly and I also asked for and received a quote for my suspension since I knew they needed to be changed. Greg got me in first thing on Monday morning and called me to keep me updated on the repair and ask for permission to fix other things they found wrong. Once I got the car back, it felt as good as new and all prior issues were resolved. Dualtone provided some of the best service I've received in a long time. my truck overheated this morning and as a result of having my flashers on my battery died. I went across the street to Dualtone Muffler, Brakes and Alignment at 7am, a full hour before they opened, to see about a jumper box. For reference, my review is about their exhaust work and not any of their mechanical repair work. I was looking for a place to get the resonators removed from my car (because, racecar :P) but the muffler shops around me said they couldn't do it because of the oval piping. I brought the car into Dualtone, and they were able to do it at an extremely fair price, and above all they were extremely friendly and communicative along the whole way. I only gave them another star because they were killing me with kindness and flirtation (I must be a girl) because they probably knew I was pissed. Took my car here as a recommendation from Discount tire (they need to stop that). Gave them my quote from Toyota, I thought I'd save a couple of hundred bucks and ended up spending at least $700 more for shock, strut, alignment, breaks/fluidcheck. I dropped off my car 3 times in 2 weeks and they could never finish the job, and I had appointments each time. They kept knocking off a couple bucks here and there, but I still overpaid. Not only that, I drove away the 2nd time with them forgetting to put my Hubcaps on, luckily I noticed before I drove away (this is when they were rushing to put my car back together after I TOLD them to call me when ready). I'm surprised my car still runs, I hope. Didn't bother to wear gloves, all my stuff is on the floor, all my stuff and my car feels greasy. They don't communicate to the customer when parts are ready (I had to call and they were like, oh yea it's here, come today). It was exhausting. Stay away. read more

Do not take your car to Dualtone. I had them installed a catalytic converter in my car and 15 months later, the part went bad and they did not wanted replace it, even though they should. They blamed it on everything else, and they were very rude about it, saying it was some how my fault. DO NO TRUST THEM. I took my car somewhere else to get it fixed. read more

Angel, the person who took care of me was very helpful and honest. He did not try to push or sell anything that I don't need. He did found a leak in my car, but was honest enough to tell me to try to call my former mechanics to see if that particular part is still under warranty. The service was fast and smooth. Dualtone was recommended by Discount Tire for wheel alignment. On the phone they said wheel alignment takes about 45 minutes. I made appointment. Once in the shop, they said 1 1/2 hours. No problem I can grab lunch. After more than 1 1/2 hours my car was still in parking lot and it was clear it was not going to be worked on any time soon. I grabbed the keys and left. If you value your time, avoid this place! Perhaps they do good work, but they are horrible at giving estimates, or just don't care. There is nothing wrong with an alignment taking 45 minutes, or 90, or even all day. But let the customer know! As I picked up they keys, they actually said, "would you like to reschedule for tomorrow morning?". Sorry, you lost a potential customer with 3 cars. read more

I have been into Dualtone three times in the last year or two. The last two visits turned out to be bordering on fraudulent, The $1800.00 front control arm replacements were probably just bad bushings, and the new ones they put in have not even lasted 18 months. Of course they told me I was out of luck since I did not purchase their extended warranty on repairs. Then the second vehicle I took in supposedly needed new shocks, bushings, and about $3000.00 in repairs according to them. I took it to a more reputable expert and it turns out none of those repairs were even close to being needed. Leaking shocks, cracked bushings and bent suspension miraculously fixed themselves by driving away.... I am bummed since I have been using this shop since 1987, but now I hear all the recent horror stories. read more

This place was awesome! A few weeks ago, I called to get a quote here for an alignment, spoke with Mike who was very respectful on the phone and made an appt for me right away. Only $69 for all 4!! What a deal!! When I arrived, I was greeted by Mike and the crew. They took care of me right away and were finished with my alignment in about an hour! I don't even know where to start with these guys. I took my car in to have all new front suspension parts installed. Greg told me that I could use new front brake rotors and pads as well when he called me after the inspection. I agreed to have them do that as well since they were already taking the car apart. I supplied all my own parts for the front suspension rebuild, 12 parts in total. Greg told me that if there was anything that didn't fit or that I needed extra, he could supply them. I said no problem not knowing that I would be scammed for the price. I get another call that I the only parts I'm missing are lower control arms instead of just reusing my busings and new ball joints with my OEM lower control arms. I agreed to use Greg's parts. Big mistake. I was unaware of the cost. 4 days later I went to pick up my car. I picked it up at closing and everyone was leaving for the day so I just signed, paid, and drove it off the lot. This was the Saturday before Mother's day. I get into the car and immediately my traction control light, my traction control maintenance light, and my ABS light are all on. This has never happened before. When you do a full suspension rebuild, if you are not mindful to take care of the ABS sensor wires, they can be stretched and break. It's a common issue. There is nothing I can do at this point because the shop is closed. I drive home. When I get home I find that my brakes werent even touched and all the hardware is still my old stuff. I go back to the shop on Monday morning. Greg was there. I asked him why he charged my $550 EACH for the lower control arms. The exact part, from NAPA (where they ordered directly) costs $260 a piece. I could have bought these parts for $120 a piece. Nevermind that and let's focus on the fact that Greg charged me more than double for each part. He said, "we have to make money somehow". Keep in mind my labor charge was over $2100 for the suspension alone. Now to the brakes. I asked if they were done. He said yes, should be.... I told him nothing has been touched and there is no new hardware and to come outside and take a look. Go outside and what do you know, brakes werent even touched. I WAS charged $600+ for them AND they allowed me to pay for it and drive off the lot. Good thing I know what I'm doing and checked. How many times has this happened and the customer is completely unaware? I mention the ABS wire and he just shrugs it off saying it's probably just a bad wire. Asks to have the truck for another couple of days to take a look. I say no thanks and tell them to refund me the $600+ they charged for parts and labor they already charged me for. To recap, they broke the ABS wires on my truck and now I have to buy new ones, charged me over $600 for a brake job (parts AND labor) that they didn't even do, and charged me over 2x the cost for parts because "they have to make money somehow". I will never trust these guys with any of my vehicles in the future and I hope you learn from my mistake. read more
