I have been going to Thao's (pronounced Tou) for years at BT Nails, every since moving to Arlington. She is the Nail Guru for me lol. I don't have to worry about her being thorough or remembering to do anything right. Not only is she skilled and great at what she does but her mannerism is very kind and patient. I have visited other salons and it's definitely a noticeable difference. She personally cares about the outcome of your nails unlike some techs that just want to get it done and get paid. When I have to move I will still make my way to her because my job is nearby. That's how good she is! Going in I honestly had low expectations, because of the area. it's been SOOOOO long since I got a mani-pedi and liked the end result or even the process, I don't think I've ever had one better than I received today!!!! Was nice inside staff was very welcoming T did her thing with my toes and I didn't get the manicurist name but she did amazing as well. They weren't too rough with my hands or feet like I've experienced at pretty much any other place, my nails came out just how I had pictured. I have been going to this nail salon and a loyal customer. This morning, walked in for 1 broken nail repair and I was told it would be 20 minutes. I told them I would just come by later and they gave me an appointment time for 5pm. I arrived and 5pm and they had me waiting for 40 minutes....1 NAIL AND APPOINTMENT MADE...AND WAITING 40 MINUTES...and I finally spoke up and they asked me to come back tomorrow. I walked in. They got me in right away for a basic manicure with gel polish for a reasonable price. I was out in 30 minutes. Everything was perfectly fine and good. Until...here we are one week later and my gel polish is flaking off. The shortest-lasting gel manicure I've ever experienced. I have to say this has been the most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered and I have been going to this nail shop for a very long time. Let me share my experience on what just happened to me on today's date. I went to the nail salon yesterday they were closed due to weather conditions. I came back today after my shift from work around 5:30. Remind you I don't live far from the nail salon when I enter the nail salon I was greeted by one of the employees who asked me, what would I like, I informed the employee I was getting a pedicure and my nails done. She's quickly began to ask me to sit in a chair to soak my nails. The young lady that normally does my nails was with a client which was fine she share with me I have an appointment today which means she can't do my nails. Which I was perfectly fine with then another young lady approached me and asked me to go to her desk for her to take care of me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted I asked her could she do it she states yes, once she completed my nails, I looked at them and I share with her that these nails does not look like what I asked for then I mentioned to the young lady what about my pedicure she said to me oh I didn't know you were getting a pedicure I stated to her, I shared that with the lady that introduced herself to me when I walked in so after that, she began to run my pedicure water, but didn't want to do my pedicure and left. They then hand me off to another older lady, which was new and I have not seen her in the salon before she was a very elderly lady she began to work on my pedicure, which was not a pedicure. I didn't get any of the treatments that I would normally get with a pedicure , once she start working on my French tips, I told her I did not like them. This is not what I normally get. I called out for the manager. The manager came over and said oh do you want me to take them off for you? I said yes please the older lady got upset and said no I fix for you. This is just the first layer . Then the manager said no I would take over after she finished they still were not to my liking, I politely asked her can I come back tomorrow and have a young lady that normally does my nails correct my feet she says your book an appointment so once I begin to walk out and ask her, what is the amount I need to pay she tried to charge me for my nails which were not to my liking in a pedicure that was not a pedicure and was not completed 70 something dollars and when I asked her why are you charging me $70 she said oh for the service for your nails and your toes as stated above my toes are not even finish. I didn't even get a pedicure , she said no I am not charging you $15. Nothing that she share with me made sense I mentioned to her this is unfair treatment, and how disappointment I was, and she still didn't understand where I was coming from as a customer a loyal customer you would think this made sense to make sure that your customers are satisfied and compensated for their your lack of service I mention to her I will pay you $55 for my nails, but I'm not paying anything for my feet which are not complete , she shares with me if I write a complaint don't ever come back, and I wanna share this experience from a African-American women that gives them a hell of a good business watch out because how is it far to me that they rushed my nails and didn't complete my feet and wanted me to pay for a service that's wasnt completed. read more

My wife has been coming here for many years for many positive reasons, including outstanding custom-focused service, cleanliness and maintenance, fair price, and courteous, friendly staff. I finally started coming here too, and I can certainly vouch for all the positive things she has been telling me over the years. I had a long-time, split-nail issue corrected here that previous salons and even podiatrists could not correct. I walked in at 9:10am, told them I was in a hurry to get to work (15 min drive) by 10:00am. She still didn't mind that I was taking my time to choose a color even though I was in a hurry. She cleaned up and trimmed my nails and did a full set of the dipping powder polish and was finished by 9:30am. It looked great. They are one of the only salons around that open before 10am too which is a must when I have to work from 10am-7pm. Highly recommend this place! They are open Monday-Wednesday 10am-7pm and Thursday-Sunday from 9am-7pm. read more

I was overdue to get these caterpillars I call eyebrows waxed. This place isn't far from my home so I decided to give them a try. I was nervous as hell because we know how hard it can be to find someone who won't leave you looking like you're always surprised. I walked in & was greeted immediately. I told the lady what I needed done and she took me to the area where the waxing is done. She looked at my eyebrows for a minute (told y'all they were a mess), did a little combing & next was the wax. The wax was the perfect temperature. Sometimes it can be a little warm but it was spot on. She did her thing & after, she inspected them. She then proceeded to use tweezers and the little scissors to get any stragglers. After, she rubbed some sort of cream/lotion on to lessen any discomfort. I like that as most places use baby oil and you leave smelling like an infant & shiny as silver. I didn't see a price list anywhere beforehand but no biggie. The total, pre tip, was $8.00! This place was awful, I had a pedicure a week ago and so just wanted to get more of the hard skin removed from the bottom of my feet, I asked them to leave the nails. The girl butchered my cuticles to the point it hurt, they only had a weak pummice stone so it barely dented the hard skin (although granted my feet are tough), the massage was over in a blink, I was in and out within half an hour, and the bill was $25. I felt robbed and did not leave a tip. I would definitely not recommend this place, it was plain awful. read more
