This was my first time at Ciel Nail Lounge. I came on a Sunday at 1:15pm to get a gel French manicure. Didn't get done until 3pm - I was placed with a nail tech named Anna. This was probably the worst manicure I've ever gotten in my life. She cut my nails so short to the point that it hurts to end of my fingers - and cause my nails to look like they're a U-shape. I had to tell her multiple times to file them correctly/fix the thickness of the white part of the French manicure. I left paying $60 in total - nails are crooked and uneven. Almost wanted to ask if she was new but thought it was pointless then. I live right by this place so I'm considering going back since the location itself is nice. If anyone has a recommended nail tech I'd be willing to give it another shot. read more

This location is messy, not as clean, the nail tech rushed my services which in the end did not look good at all, and the drinks were poorly made. I've been to this nail shop before and had issues with my nails lifting early, but I decided to give them another shot just to be sure. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. Around day 7, my nails started lifting, and now at day 12, two have completely popped off and the rest are barely hanging on. I spoke to a woman I assumed was the manager, but she said the actual manager wasn't available. When I explained my issue, she told me they don't fix anything after six days--which is frustrating considering the nails didn't even last a full week. This time I paid $89, and you'd think that's not too bad--until you realize I also spent $119 just two weeks before this at the same location, and those nails lifted too. So, you do the math. That's over $200 on nails that didn't even make it two weeks combined. The staff is friendly and the shop looks nice, but the quality and customer service just don't match the price. Overall, the quality of their work is good, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. It's frustrating to have to repeatedly ask for issues to be fixed and still be charged full price for it. Water continues to get underneath the nail bed and turns the underside green... the solution I got today was to pick a darker color.... Mold underneath the nail is extremely dangerous. These people just don't care lol. The rudeness of some of the staff members can really put a damper on the experience. Additionally, it seems unfair to charge extra for a simple nail shape that should be included in the service.. since it's the exact nail shape I came in with? Look, this nail salon is the closest to my place, so I walked. I knew there would be a wait because it was the day before Valentine's Day. I was told 20 minutes, asked to pick my color & wait. About 10 minutes in, I'm sat in a massage chair with no one there & no water in the spa for another 20 minutes. I wanted the gel polish taken off of my toes but without replacing it, starting price is $12-15. I asked how much for gel pedi, I am told starting out $36. That's a great deal to me so I said I would take that option. Long of the short of it is overall the place is clean, they do subpar quality for an outrageous amount. Gel Mani & pedi cost an additional $40 ($20 for gel mani / $20 for gel pedi) on any selection you make. So $56 for my pedi. $42 for my mani. $5 for nail art that didn't resemble anything I provided. The lounge itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the customer service was very poor. The two techs who worked on my nails and toes showed absolutely no customer service skills. They were rude, openly talked about me to the next tech right in front of me, and once they finished, they offered no courtesy or care. The pedi tech didn't even hand me my slippers as is typically done after a pedicure, and the nail tech rushed through the service--hurriedly putting oil on my cuticles before just walking away without a word. What they didn't realize is that I had my translator app on. Love finding a bright and inviting "walk-ins welcome" nail salon anytime I'm in a new city. I'm in from out of town and wanted a basic pedicure. The bare bones runs about $35 but includes up to two complimentary drinks (alcohol included) and the pedicure was very thorough and my nail artist was friendly and attentive. The space is bright, clean, and inviting. The front desk is welcoming and helpful. The chairs are comfortable with the massage features built in. There are several tvs, music playing (not too loud) and everyone was very kind. Saw many people getting dual services where they had two artists attending to them at the same time. The customer service here is terrible. I stopped going here years ago but I needed to get my nails done quickly and they were the closest to me. They did not offer me a drink I had to ask. Then it took them forever to bring it to me. They were busy but not that busy. I was able to be serviced within 5 minutes of coming in. After filling the tub up with water she decided to add cold water....who in the world would add cold water?!! She didn't ask me how I felt about the water temperature before adding cold water. I had to ask her to add hot water. Next time I am in a pinch I will go to a place that's a little further up the road. I was looking for a nail salon since I recently relocated to Las Colinas from out of state. I was super excited to find one that accepted walk-ins. I asked for a French tip gel manicure. Three days after my manicure, I noticed that the polish on four of my nails was lifting. I called and was able to go back in to get them fixed. The technician didn't even fully remove the old polish before she started painting over it. You can tell how uneven my polish looks on the "fixed" nails.One of the French tips ended up completely uneven. The whole time, she was playing a game on her phone. She said four words to me the entire time I was there and that was "what nail needs fixed?" It seemed like she hated the fact that she was there and that I was there as well. After my nails finished drying, I had to wait for her to finish the game she kept playing on her phone during the whole appointment before she completed the last touches. Suuuuuper happy with how my ombré nails turned out! :) I went on a whim to Ciel, as I needed to get my nails done. I got dip powder. I was blown away with their technique. Usually I get shot down when I ask for a dip ombré, but my nail tech was so experienced and knew what she was doing. I wish I could have her teach my nail tech back home because I was so pleased. I think this place tries really hard to get people in and out quickly. Because of this, the quality suffers tremendously. Be mindful of the nail polish you pick, it may be diluted requiring multiple "clumpy" coats of polish. I got a pedicure and it's was very subpar for $36. In other words, my toe nails look thicker than they really are from all the layers of poor polish! I have been a faithful customer of Ciel Nail Lounge for over three years since moving to Las Colinas. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I am compelled to share my extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment in how this salon treats loyal patrons. On 11/3, my fiancé scheduled a 2 pm appointment for two pedicures and a new set of nails, specifically requesting my nails and pedicure be done simultaneously--something we were assured would be no issue. Upon arrival, my pedicure started but it took over 20 minutes for anyone to even approach me about my nails. I tried to be patient given that the salon appeared busy, but what followed was unacceptable. When the first technician came over, she repeatedly insisted on charging $15 to remove "gel polish," despite my clarifying multiple times that I had pink powder with a white polish tip and clear coat--not gel. Both my fiancé's technician and I attempted to explain, yet she seemed disinterested in actually understanding my needs. Frustrated, I downgraded my pedicure and opted out of the nail service altogether. One of the other technicians encouraged me to try again, so I reluctantly agreed. But the second technician also began questioning me about "gel polish" halfway through removing my nails. This was now beyond frustrating. I reiterated what I had told the previous technician, even pulling up a photo of the color I regularly use. To my shock, she claimed the salon "doesn't do fills with powder," contradicting my prior experiences. She briefly consulted my usual technician, John, but never returned to address the situation, leaving my nails half-soaked and in disarray. In an attempt to resolve this, I approached the young man at the front desk, only to be met with more dismissiveness. He excused this obvious lack of communication as a "language barrier," a flimsy and insulting justification given that I had been repeatedly clear. When I pointed out that my responses had been understood and recapped by both technicians, he responded that he also didn't understand the point of the questions posed to me. This interaction only added to the stress and left me feeling deliberately mistreated. Ultimately, I had to insist on someone finishing the removal of my nail powder, as I had been left with my nails in an unfinished, chaotic state. After years of loyal patronage, I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect shown by the staff at Ciel Nail Lounge. Today's experience was nothing short of a display of complete disregard for customer care, and I will certainly be reconsidering my options going forward. This level of service is simply unacceptable for any establishment claiming to value its clientele. Also, I am not sure why Yelp has a location in Florida. Throughout all of our interactions, I feel that I am annoying her by simply walking into the salon. Will I continue to go back? Yes. When I most recently called to make an appointment she was very dismissive on the phone so I only reiterated the number of people (and manis and pedis) once, even though I got the impression I should have triple checked that she had noted the numbers correctly. When we did show up, and the appointment had indeed been written down wrong, she acted very put out and frustrated towards me which I would have understood if 1. I hadn't repeated myself when initially making the appointment and/or 2. if they had been extremely busy. Which they were not, nor did it get busy throughout the duration of our time there. Lastly, although we had made an appointment as a group, some of us were paying separately. I go here from time to time Bc it's nice and beautifully decorated. My fiancé knows the owner since he was a child so I figured I'm come support. They seem to be rushing to just get customers done with. The technician Lynn cut me multiple times and sped through the drilling process even though I kindly asked her to slow down Bc my nail bed in thin. I had to yank away from her at least 6 times. When I went to check out-- I was upset. There's patches in the powder and you can see she didn't lay ok enough. I purposely came early knowing it's a 1.5-2 hr process. And when it doesn't come out right, I don't have time to come back and redo mistakes that shouldn't have been made the first time and pay full price for. Nina the owner disregarded me when I tried to explain to her her new techs are rushing. I am Vietnamese as well-- we carry ourselves quite highly at times. I get that....But when you cannot show empathy and understanding that is when you lose business. Please ask your techs to breathe, take lunch breaks and take their time while working. Three friends and I went to have manis and pedis. Despite the pandemic, no staff were upset about my bleeding hand and the machines being used on me, then to other customers. This particular nail tech also cut my friends cuticles. A third friend was 'knicked by a different worker. So only 1/4 of us walked away unscathed. I paid full price, tipped my pedicure guy, but only got two "I'm sorrys" from the woman.
