At first it was hard to let go of all of the bells and whistles that Skyline dazzles you with, but once I got through the withdraw, I realized that I was still getting a stellar haircut, which really is the point, right? I see Merideth, who has been awesome about keeping me looking clean and presentable, yet also fun. She does a great men's cut. While obviously I have no firsthand experience with the lady-services, the clients I all see leaving look great. Take that for what you will. Scheduling appointments has always been incredibly flexible, and everybody that works there is incredibly friendly. They do shows on First Fridays and are always there to give you a nice PBR or glass of wine. Also, they're a Bumble & Bumble salon, if that type of thing is important to you.

Luckily for me, the stars were aligned when I asked a friend about her stylist and she gave me Jamie Gourd's number. Jamie had just moved to Hello Beautiful, which is located on the far end of an otherwise nondescript strip mall. Even with an address in hand I wasn't sure I made the correct turn, but I eventually found the salon, and Jamie. I changed stylists because I was spending four to six hours at the salon every time I had a cut and highlights. I have kids and jobs and house to clean I just can't spend that long on my hair. Even though it was a Saturday morning, Jamie was smiling and perky. She had me in and out in an hour and a half, and my hair looked great. I sent my daughters to her too, and they were equally pleased with their cuts. Hello Beautiful is new, clean and -- because it's open and airy -- pretty noisy when all the stylists have clients. The noise isn't too overwhelming, though, and mothers with young children will love the little table in the corner stocked with colors and books. My kids are older, but it's a nice extra knowing there's something to keep your little angels busy while you squeeze in some much-needed me time.

I loved the end result so much I ended up booking in with Luis 4 weeks later for hair painting to finish off the look. I have never loved my hair so much. I am 60 and wanted a more traditional cut, but with edge. He was fantastic. Listened to what I wanted and then he made it real. Really good with the scissors. Trimmed my beard too. Gave it shape and form without sacrificing length. Don't know his name but he has a full tattoo sleeve on his right arm. I'd go back in a nano second. Excellent experience!

I didn't realize this Salon had just opened in February. It…read morewas quite sparse when I walked in but, the receptionist was very cordial. My stylist didn't introduce herself so, I had to ask her what her name was. I had purchased a first time client consultation which included a haircut, deep conditioning, and brow color or wax. I choose brow color. The room we went into had one chair and little else. I assumed it was because they just recently opened. She asked what I was looking for and I said I've had the same haircut for years and wanted something completely different. We talked about a cut that would enhance volume at the top and sides as well as the back. I thought we were on the same page but, I was mistaken. I will say she did take her time and was very conscientious with her work. When she turned me around to look in the mirror, my hair was EXACTLY the same as when I walked in, just a little shorter! I was expecting SOMETHING to be different. She asked me what I thought and I told her it looked exactly the same. She said she added layers using a razor but, it just looked flat. Very disappointing. The brow coloring.....maybe she was still working on her technique. I did tip her 20% for her efforts but, I will not be back
