I just finished my third massage at B-Well Massage Therapy in West Islip. I came to them as part of my rehabilitation from reconstructive foot surgery. I had previously used a different Massage Therapist after a prior surgical procedure, but was looking for a different experience. From my first contact (by phone) with the team at B-Well, I knew that this would be a good match for me. At my first appointment, I met Kris, the owner at B-Well, who greeted me warmly and put me at ease. She is pleasant and clearly concerned about providing a good therapy experience for her clients and for her staff. She spoke with me about the massage experience and wanted to make sure that my treatments were helpful in my recovery. The waiting area is extremely clean and bright. The staff at the reception desk (when Kris isn't the person there) are also welcoming and friendly. The treatment room is comfortable and relaxing. Even though the office is right on Montauk Highway, you don't hear road noise, there are sound machines to damper external noise distractions and the treatment bed is heated before you begin your session. Truly nice touches. My therapist, Tasha, is excellent! While the therapist at my last massage facility was good, Tasha is so much more attentive and attuned to my treatment. We speak prior to each treatment to discuss any issues that I have at that particular time so that she can focus on those area(s) during the session. During each session Tasha "checks in" with me to make sure that I am comfortable and that her treatment is helpful. She has strong hands, the pressure she applies is firm but never painful - even when focusing on the area where the surgery was. During my treatment she is engaging and a truly interesting person to talk with. That said, during both sessions I've had with Tasha, there are times where I was so relaxed that I felt myself falling asleep. Truly excellent! I appreciate that my insurance covers medical massage but I have no doubt that I'll continue with B-Well Massage Therapy even after my insurance benefits end. B-Well Massage Therapy LLC West Islip This was a wonderful experience for me from beginning to end. From my initial greeting to the end of my medical massage. Kris was so warm & friendly. She gave me a very thoughtful massage, asking if her touch was the right amount of pressure, checking out my medical history ,etc. & making sure I was comfortable throughout & kept me informed through each stage of the massage. I liked the room the massage took place in, very clean, just the right amount lighting , candles , & soft relaxing music. The towels & bedding were warmed up too! I would certainly recommend her. This was my second prenatal massage. While relaxing, it didn't do much to tackle my knots and shoulder tightness which was extremely dissapointing when everything hurts from the pregnancy. The previous place I've been to placed me on my side- a much more comfortable expirence and they were able to apply effective pressure. For prenatal, choose a masseuse who will place you on your side. read more

Extremely disappointed. Office manager is the mother of the owner who is the massage therapist which creates a major conflict. Office manage cancelled 6 to 8 of my scheduled appointments. Furthermore, office manage told me on two separate occasions my no fault insurance ended which was incorrect. Liberty Mutual faxed the office manage that insurance was never cancelled. When I questioned office manage why she was making so many errors. The owner, her daughter told me her mother never makes a mistake and I should go find another message therapist. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND B-WELL - THEY LACK PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT. read more
