I've been working.... A lot. No vacation or Personal days for me. So I decided to treat myself. I Bought a Groupon for an hour massage with foot scrub, sight unseen. Figured I'd take a shot. I am Sooo glad I didn't see the building. Because it's not a building! It's a house! Surprise! Do NOT be deterred!! You'll miss out on the best massage ever! She shares office space with a Podiatrist in the BACK of the house. The room was clean & dimly lit. Soft music was playing. That Zen Yoga Massage music. The temperature was perfect. I love the fact that Glenise worked with my crazy schedule. She works weekends! And work she did! I mean she massaged me literally from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet! She got in there with her forearms massaging every aching muscle. I didn't know my fingers needed a massage! Every finger was grateful! Extremely professional. Although I was Nakey (underwear on), I was kept covered up completely except for the body part she was working on at the time. In between she used a heating pad which was warm & comforting. The foot scrub was a nice touch. She rubbed & scrubbed....Aaaaahhhh. Then my feet were wrapped in very hot towels after the scrub. Soooo nice. I wanted to tell her it when she started that it already was amazing but I couldn't get the words out. I didn't want to ruin this awesome feeling, nor distract her from the fabulous job she was doing. Yeah I think I zonked out towards the end. I maybe even snored! Got an hour long massage and a foot scrub. I've been to many places to get massages over the past few years and it was always so hard to find someone who would apply the amount of pressure that I would prefer. However Glenise made my massage so relaxing yet healing that I noticed a difference in my neck and back pain right away. At first I was hesitant to try massage therapy but my pain levels changed my mind as well as the advice of others who were born with Larsen Syndrome. I just came back from my hour long massage and foot scrub with Heavenly Hands, an aptly named business for this one woman massage therapist. When you first walk in, it's a small waiting room of a podiatrist office. There's a little parking lot. So no issue trying to find a spot on busy Great East Neck Rd. I was asked to fill out a brief form for contact information and medical history, as well as any areas of pain. I was then brought into a small room which was equipped with a massage table, small sink and chair to put personal belongings and sit. It smells like lavender and there was a sound machine playing ocean waves and seagulls. Glenise got me all set up by tucking me in like a little baby. I felt very warm and snug. She turned on some very pleasant spa music. She then started on my upper back, shoulders and neck. I was having some issues with my neck which she took special care and attention. This was after I had turned over and my feet were wrapped in warm towels after applying the foot scrub. I feel so pampered and relaxed, just the way one should feel after having a massage. I came in with a groupon for a full body massage & a foot scrub. I will admit I was a bit weary since there were barely any reviews on the place. But, I was pleasantly surprised. Glendise was very professional & made me feel very comfortable. She asked me about what I wanted to concentrate on & followed my needs. She had lovely hands & made me feel tranquil. The room was clean & the massage table was very comfortable. The only thing I will say is that the light coming in from the window was a bit distracting. I am used to a windowless room with dim lighting. Nothing bad, just would make the experience more relaxing. Overall, I had a very relaxing massage & everything was just right. Impossible to get an appointment when requested. I purchased a Groupon on May 2nd and still have not been able to get a hold of someone. I've called and emailed several times. I wanted to use my Groupon prior to the expiration date, and I was told there were no available appointments until the end of June (after my Groupon expires). Found this place on groupon for a One hour massage and foot scrub! Went in today for my massage and I must say, it was the best massage I've had! I have had massages from licensed massage therapists in the past but none of them can compare to today's service. Glenise is excellent at what she does! She started off by warming up my muscles and since my back was tense she put a heating pad on my back and went to concentrate on other areas. I've never had anyone put a heating pad on my back during a massage before but it was nice. I would most definitely reccomend, and will be coming back! read more

I have been going for massage therapy with Glenise for about 2 years. I been traveling from Queens since then. People ask me why I go so far, since some times may even take me up to almost 2 hours to get there, I answer that the level of professionalism I have not found yet near me. I must admit I would love to have her near but her hands are really heavenly like the name of the place. Some people are confused with the spa part of the name, but pay attention "Medispa" it is medical, therapeutic . She is a "professional" I was referred by my doctor to her for my multiple problems, all I can say is as a patient it is also our responsibility when we are in doubt of medical skin issues that can affect others not just her but others, in reference to one comment I read, I understand that may get upset for refusing, but she has to protect her clients, how would a person feel if not told of a potential transmit able disease. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I wish I had been warned beforehand. I did not enjoy no such heavenly massage, I just couldn't. First she was 10mins late to my appt after I had arrived a few mins early as she had mentioned I needed to fill out a form. The office was locked since she apparently stepped out to lunch. A secretary of a podiatrist, who has an office there as well let me in to wait. The actual room was freezing because there was an AC on blast roaring in the room. I asked for it to be turned off. She turned it off but said if she got hot she would turn it on again. She started the massage and turned the AC back on like 5 mins into it. I was FREEZING and shivering from the cold! It was not comfortable, therapeutic or relaxing in any way. The AC roars in 1 ear and the "relaxing spa music" was in the other ear drowned out by the AC and the traffic outside the window. BEWARE!!! I had purchased Groupons for my mother and I for a one hour massage and foot scrub. Since this is a sole proprietor, my mother had her massage first. This massage provider has a room is in a frankly rundown podiatrist office on the first floor of a house. The waiting room has all of these notices about toe fungus and my mother and I were just talking about treatments for this condition. I mentioned to my mother in the waiting room that I had been treated for this condition on one toe 10 years ago. The owner heard me talking about it and based on this, without even looking at my feet, refused the foot scrub services because she said I was "contagious" (from 10 years ago???) and stated she would not to even touch my feet. I pointed out that I had the condition 10 years ago, and mentioned that no one has ever refused to give me a pedicure or to perform reflexology treatment on my feet. I also pointed out that the Groupon did not say anything about refusing services. Notwithstanding, she flatly refused to touch my feet. Needless to say I was very angry and stressed, which is not a great mindset to be before going in for a massage. The massage was fair; the only thing which was unusual was that she used a heating pad to warm up areas as she went. She offered to use hot stones to "make up" for not massaging my feet, but it became evident that she really did not know how to use them - she dropped one on the floor and had trouble getting the temperature correct. With Groupons, it can be a hit or miss. This was definitely a miss. I would stay away from this establishment. read more
