For the past few years, I have gone here and ignored the disgusting policies this place has because I truly enjoyed the foot massage. Today put me over the edge and I will never go back. I took my mom. I had a gift certificate that was given to me along with my card that I had diligently kept and filled up with 10 stamps. ( no expiration date on the "old" card). They refused BOTH!!!! They started talking about the gift cert not being used after 1 year- it doesn't say that ANYWHERE on there! And then when I handed them the card with 10 stamps that clearly states free 1 hour foot reflexology- they claimed "new owner" and again refused to take it. Ok ok- even if I bought any of that BS. They could have at least offered me a discount as a courtesy. Instead they had the BALLS to tap the table when we handed them a tip was I guess they didn't know find sufficient enough!!!! I have been going to this place for almost 4 years and they have never disappointed. I always call to make an appointment but they are always flexible! The atmosphere is very inviting, I'm not particular on a specific person doing my foot massage because everyone is great! I've never left here disappointed or dissatisfied. I have brought others with me and they absolutely agree! If you're looking to relax this is definitely the place and it is quite affordable for the service that you get! I have been going here for years but hadn't been in a few months. The place has gone DOWN HILL and I will never go back. It smells like septic. The woman that massaged me (foot massage) kept getting up to answer the door etc and then switched half way through to another. It was the worst foot massage that I have ever had. When I presented my gift certificate they told me that it was expired. It had to expiration date or wording on it. I then gave my punch card and was told "these are the old card" and he wouldn't transfer the punches to a new card. Very bad service, terrible and non transparent policies and unclean environment. I am all for supporting the small business'. As I type this I see someone else wrote almost an identical experience. I will never go back there, I will never refer a friend there and I won't be surprised when I see the out of business sign posted. Just terrible!!! read more

I am new to the area and I've been there several times. Last night I went for an hour and a half massage. I had David, he was very professional and excellent. I paid at the end, then went to use the restroom. As I was walking out, they were very honest and told me that I over paid and gave me $20 back. This tells me that are ethical and honorable. I've been to many foot spas and went here on 9/10/22. i am aware how a typical massage goes and found my experience here VERY inappropriate and unprofessional. I was extremely uncomfortable so I rushed to leave when my session ended. I intentionally meant to give him a low tip but bc i wanted to just get out of there i accidentally handed a $50 bill as part of the tip instead of a $5. I think he could have asked if I meant to tip that much or if I made a mistake being that the tip was more than the actual service but I didn't realize until I got home. I will take the loss bc after that massage I said I'd NEVER walk in there ever again. I advise go somewhere else read more

I've been to this place a few times with my mother and grandmother. We normally go for the hour foot massage to just relax. And that's exactly what we did this time, but for some reason the person who was massaging my feet wouldn't let up with her nails, and I told her I had a piercing to watch out for during the massage yet she hit it multiple times. After, we went to pay, and when we gave a 20% tip they demanded more money! Saying that when we go out to resteraunts we leave 25%. I travel around SE Asia almost every year and get foot reflexology almost daily while I am there (because I'm obsessed with foot reflexology), and I had an equally wonderful experience here. The massage was very traditional, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I was thoroughly impressed. We didn't happen to experience any rude service, and everyone was very friendly. But generally when it comes to massage, my expectations are in a quality massage, not whether people make an effort to be friendly. They offer 60 minutes of reflexology for $29. They deliver from 52 to 55 minutes of a lousy foot rub. On top of that, if you dare leave a tip less than $10, the owner shows you an index card with a list of what "other clients" leave. If know I'm not coming back. This is the second time I have been here. The full body massage was great. I received an hour and a half massage. It was very relaxing. Initially I wanted an hour massage, but extended it. There was a gentleman getting a foot massage outside where I was getting a massage. He must have been very relaxed because he was snoring. He wasn't loud or bothersome. Price was very reasonable. I went to this place on 7/26/2011 it was realy,realy good when you walk inside it was a little dark that a good thing the darkness help you to relax.They have these big soft chair like a lazy boy which they use to give the foot massage which they use these hot stone it was amazeing.I had this lady her name was Amy she was realy good after the foot massage I had 60mins body massage by the same laydy it was wonderful.When I go back I will ask for her.The place is clean and the prices are great for the service they give you.I would recomend this place to everyone.I will be coming back soon.see ya read more

I have been meaning to write this review since Mother's Day. My mom moved from California to Babylon, NY last year and getting Mother's Day presents have been somewhat complicated ever since. This year I decided to get her a massage for Mother's Day but had a hard time finding something that was close to her home, affordable and not sketchy. I found Red Lantern Foot Reflexology on Yelp and even though they only had one review I decided I would give it a try. I called and payed for everything over the phone including tip. When my mom was ready for her apt I called and booked it for her. I cannot speak to the ambiance but I can speak to my mom's rave reviews. She said everyone was very nice and knew who she was when she came in. She also said that the foot massage was AMAZING and she felt like a noodle after wards. Here's the thing about proper foot reflexology and Red Lantern.... It includes your whole body, not just your feet. For those of you that do not like getting undressed, with Foot Reflexology you just wear comfortable clothing like sweats and a t-shirt or yoga gear. Honestly worst massage I have ever had.. the lady literally did nothing but rub lotion all over me.. if I were to say I enjoyed 5 mins out of the hour I would be exaggerating. I asked her to go harder and she didn't even respond . On top of that she rubbed lotion all over my face which was weird and didn't even wipe it off. I love this place, it is better than any of the other foot spas. They spend the entire hour on your feet and you are seated in a comfortable recliner. I am not interested in getting a back massage here so I cannot review that. However the foot massage is amazing. They end it with a hot stone treatment. Absolutely money we'll spent! read more

The owner pulled out an index card from under the desk written in sharpie saying what would be the equivalent of 28% is required for a tip, in cash and they didn't accept any less. $29 for an hour foot massage! Yes, the ad was too good to be true. I called to book an hour appointment. They said they closed at 9pm so I asked for an 8 o'clock appointment. They kept asking me to make it 7:30 but since I had earlier plans, I wasnt sure if it was feasible. Finally I gave in. We got there at 7:20 and were brought right in. The woman didn't speak English but when she pointed to my shoes 3 times, I got the hint to take them off. Same thing a few minutes later when she said something and pointed to my pants legs. She then basically slapped an eye mask on my head and went to work. The massage itself was decent but nothing special. When it ended, I thought maybe I had fallen asleep because it was over rather quickly. As we were headed towards the door to pay, we realized our massage was only 45 minutes! Then when we left $10 tip for each of the help, they wanted more money! These places are everywhere. I suggest you try a different one. read more

I had the same happen to me as one of the other reviews. I asked for an hour foot massage (made an appointment) and got a back massage.... I kept repeating myself saying I need to do this for the foot massage? And they kept saying yes. And then they kept asking if I wanted half back/half foot and I kept saying 1 hour foot! I asked again and all of sudden she understood me and then she said ok well do a 30 min back the same price as the foot... They unfortunately wanted me to pay for more than I came for... I don't know if all the reviews on this place are fake or what. I frequent reflexology places on the island and they all are about the same maybe one does this instead of that but this place was so bad I had to place a review to warn people. My boyfriend and I did the half and half (30 min back 30 min foot) we were the only people there and as soon as they started I could tell they didn't know what they were doing. He kept putting so much oil and lotion on my back it was like globs and he kept just rubbing it around there was no "massaging". I kept hoping for the point where he starts getting my pressure points but no after the gross lotioning he went right to my like shoulder blade and just kept elbowing my shoulder blade/ neck area it was so painful I was squirming and moving away but he didn't get it. I could hear my boyfriend telling his lady not so hard but he said after she just kept going. There was no technique routine they followed , there was no consistency !!! So frustrating for something to be done on one side and not the other !!! It was probably the worst one I've gotten in a long time and after months in Babylon village I decided to try it .. I have been coming here for over a year and every time it has been great. I went today to get a foot massage but, they had someone available to do a back massage so I took advantage and got it. I had brought $45 dollars with me, since the foot massage costs $29. Once I was done with my massage, I proceeded to pay and gave the $45 to the same gentleman who had given me the massage. The cost for the back massage $38. Immediately, he proceeded to insult me and told me that he was no bus boy and never to come back, and as I was walking out he gave me the finger. I know $7 tip is not a ton of money but it is almost 20% and it was all I had. Either way, there is no need to insult me, tell me not to come back and give me the finger. So here's my finger, I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience. Count this as negative review! read more

Althought the place isn't exactly top of the line beautiful and spa like...the service and treatment as great! it was the most comfortable and relaxing hour of my life. They start with a delightful warm foot scrub/soak...then continue on your legs, calves, feet for the duration. I already can't wait to go back! My experience was totally different than the 2 other reviews on this site. 3 positives - the staff is friendly and yes their prices are great and they give a pretty DECENT back massage . Unfortunately this is not the place to get a massage. The place was cold, the masseuse seemed to be inexperienced. The staff would talk with each other while giving massages, the privacy is not so great - when others come in you can hear the whole conversation as you are not in private rooms. The lotions they used were not the best. I explained to the masseuse that my legs have been hurting and to please focus on them - I don't understand how she only massaged one and didn't even bother with the other. I didn't bother to request her to massage the other leg b/c it just wasn't worth it. Guys, don't waste your time. Most times it makes sense to spend a little more money to get quality. I will now go out to find another massage place as my legs are still in pain. read more
